The staff at bootdoctors are absolutely fantastic!! Everyone of them love what they do, and the vibe that flows out of that shop is proof of that. I purchased a set of skis, bindings, and custom fitted boots from them, and was very satisfied with how they treated me and how they fed me with good knowledge about all my gear. I definitely recommend everyone to go to them for all your needs.

Best in the area. Yes it's expensive. But their expertise will give you piece of mind and confidence in your gear. Being on this gnarly Mountain every day, confidence and piece of mind are some things you should have in spades.

The owner, Bob went through a thorough process to help me pick my new boots. We tried 4 different boot manufacturers to start to find the most comfortable for my foot. He then proceeded to make my custom foot bed which was tried and then adjusted to make it just right. Finally he heated the boots up in an oven and put them on my feet to allow the entire boot to mold to my exact foot. Fantastic boots, incredibly comfortable!!!

For the past 4 years I have been skiing in a pair of Technica boots that I bought in NJ at my local ski shop.... I have to say, the boots were a disaster since day 1. My feet were always cramping, my toes got cold and my feet felt like they were swimming. I did have them adjusted a couple of times but they never seemed right. This March, I decided to buy a new pair of boots while in T-Ride for the week. I landed in T-Ride at 1PM and was at the Boot Doctors by 2PM. After 2.5 hours with Mike, I had a new pair of Atomic boots with custom insoles. The first day on the slopes, I was in heaven. I have to say after skiing 6 days with these new boots not once did I say "I cannot wait to get them off". Mike and the rest of the staff were extremely helpful and he truly is a boot expert. I would give the Boot Doctors a double thumbs up. I also bought my wife skis that week in the Boot Doctors Mountain Village location..... Jeremy and the staff in Mt Village were also awesome....knowledgeable, professional and very helpful. Boot Doctors is the only place to go in T-Ride.

Great staff, passionate owner, organized, knowledgeable, kind, and the best products in Telluride. The boot fitters are the best around, their crystal glide tunes are matched by none, and the people make the package complete!

Eric and Dr. Bob were great. Eric spent an hourand a half with me doing custom insoles and tweeking my liners. Explained everything along the whole process and took his time. Never was rushing even though store was packed. Boot Doctor's has a well deserved great reputation. I've had several boot fittings and insoles over the years. This was the best. I was hesitant going into a shop in the village thinking I would just get rushed through like I was just another number. Far from the case. Eric took his time making sure everything was perfect.

Sam helped me get past a painful foot injury. Highly recommend this spot for amazingly talented care for custom fittings for your ski boots, in my case for trail running shoes as well. I could not have better things to say about Sam, the Bootdoctor staff, and the awesome results of the custom orthotics / changes to boot fitting they helped me with. Can't wait for pain-free turns this season!

This is a fantastic shop and fantastic group of people. I went there planning on fully customizing liners and boots, per advice from other shops. Cale advised me to take a more measured approach (that was significantly less expensive) and see if it worked before going crazy on custom everything. Incredibly knowledgeable guy, thoughtful listener, great communicator. I learned a lot about boots, my anatomy and mobility. Custom footbeds and a little modification to my liner and shell were game changing. I am skiing better, in WAY more comfort. I would go to Telluride just work with these guys. Gold Standard for boot fitting and outdoor recreation. Huge thanks to Jim, Mike M, Penelope, Bob and crew for a top notch experience fitting my wife for new boots and fixing a problem with my foot beds. They stand behind their work 100% and offer a friendly, knowledgeable experience. Look to no other to get fitted for any activity on the mountain.

Yesterday we had THE BEST day with "Skip" our hip, friendly, informative teacher of how to SUP. He went out with us and was an awesome entertaining storyteller. My husband had never doe this before and when he fell in Skip was great at helping him manage to get back on and stand up again:)
Bootdoctors go over and beyond with preparing an assortment of snack and drinks. Skip even had a red checkered tablecloth !
Trout Lake is an easy lake with gorgeous surroundings of the mountains.
The price is basically the same as the others in town, but this trip was by far better.
My husband also went on a guided mountain bike trail through BD and was impressed too with the service.
When in Telluride choose Bootdoctors for your rentals and guided sports activities.
Next trip to Telluride and Mountain Village we will go visit our buddy Skip and do another SUP trip.

For the first time in my (already pretty long) life I have a great fitting boot, thanks Bootdocs! I have skied for 40+ years, raced in my youth and worn a lot of boots -- they have always had problems until I found these guys. Getting a good boot fit is tough, at least for me. It has to start with the right boot choice and then it takes me some skiing on the boot and a few trips back for fine tuning. Billy took a ton of time and tried on more types of boots than I can count now, got a good initial fit and then a few more visits for fine tuning with Billy, Bob and Joe and the boots are great. Billy had a great instinct on the boots, we went with one that was not most comfortable at first but he was very committed that after the molding process it was the right one & he nailed it. Going back in to get the couple of fine tunes on the fit was straight forward, even during the chaotic rush leading up to x-mas. My wife bought boots here as well and had just as positive an experience. We feel lucky to have such a great resource available to us here.

Two thoughts I saw mentioned in other reviews: (1) We bought boots leading up to x-mas and I think we paid pretty much retail on them. Custom foot-beds were a reasonable additional charge with the boots. Wish I could find the right boots in my size at the end of the season when there are sales, but I've learned I cannot.

Getting a good boot fit is about communicating with the folks doing the fitting. You have to do it and you have to work with someone you can communicate well with. If you are not feeling it with the person you initially meet, I'd suggest saying so and asking to switch it up. Boots are expensive and can make or break your skiing experience -- speak up right away if you think the process isn't headed the way you want.

After spending some time here exploring the different shops I felt I had a comfortable grasp on what the shops in Telluride have to offer. BootDoctors pricing is on par or better with most shops, where the real difference is obvious is in customer service and more so knowledge and passion from each staff member. The boot fitters weren't simply at work punching the clock, they were living in their world and passionate to ensure that I left with a proper fitting boot that met my standards of performance while also allowing my aging feet to be comfortable. I could have skipped my exploration of the other shops in town if I had just taken the advice of local friends and pro's, go to BootDoctors and your feet will thank you!

Absolutely very helpful Kelly was very patient and knew his product help me find the right fitting boot and even took the time to give me a custom fitting he works at the one located at the village.

Bootdoctors - If your doctor was like this you'd be dead and still be receving medical bills. I think Boot Orderlies would be a more appropriate name.
I've never had a bad experience with a boutique store at a ski resort until this one. I wasted my whole vacation there because of their incompetence. They totally misfitted my boots. I came in every day and instead of changing me out to a size that fit, the salesman kept trying to add pad over pad until my brand new boots looked similar to someone trying to fix 10 year old boots. When I pointed out that I didn't think it was right, he would just say, I've been knowing this for 5 years, I think I know what I am doing. Finally after wasting every evening of my ski trip and on my very final night, I was lucky enough to not get him. (He had gone on vacation.) The bootfitter I got took one look at the boots I was given and told me they were totally wrong. He tried to get me into another pair, but I was leaving in the morning and the whole point of buying at an expensive store on the slopes was for the expertise and to ski on them so they tried out and could be adjusted. Finally, he agreed to take back the boots and footbeds but said he would have to get the day manager to do the refund the next day because he couldn't. I left the next morning on my flight. When I called the following day, the day manager/owner decided it would be better if they kept $140 of my money for footbeds that they kept and were useless to me for any other boots anyways. I tried to contest it with American Express, but he lied and told them that I had taken the footbeds. We went around and around for months. The manager even said they fired the original bootfitter guy because of me and other complaints. But he still refused to give me back the rest of my money. I ended up buying boots and footbeds from a reputable ski store. Then a month later my footbeds showed up in a envelope with no return address and addressed to the wrong street address. I, of course, sent them back because I already got Surefoot beds. (They were soooo much better to deal with that the clowns at Bootdoctors.)

The bottom line is that Telluride is a high end resort with lots of reputable ski shops to go to and this one should be avoided because they are shysters. They had plenty of opportunity to make the situation right, instead they admitted they were wrong and basically said tough luck it's not our policy to give back all the money even if it's our fault.

I had the best experience at the Oak Street store in Telluride. I went in to get my board tuned and Eddie noticed my stance wasn't quite right and offered to adjust it when I picked up the board the next day. He could have just taken my board and tuned it but took the time to chat with me about what would be best for me. The staff at Bootdoctors are a genuinely caring group of people. I recommend Bootdoctors for anyone skiing or boarding. Erin (long-time Telluride local who appreciates great service)

Excellent service! Found and fixed the problem in 10 minutes. Very reasonably priced for the fix.

I did have to go back for an issue but after talking the problem through with them they knew exactly wht to try to fix it.

Reccomend go and see them right away if they have an issue small or large they will ensure that it gets fixed!

My husband and I had a great experience renting bikes from Bootdoctors. I am inexperienced and Patrick was extremely helpful answering all our questions and getting us set up with the right gear. I highly recommend renting from here!! The bikes are high quality and the location is very convenient.

AVOID! Snooty and insanely SLOW service. I understand the point of safety during COVID, but this is insane. Multiple staff milling about who don t even listen to customers. All I needed was a pair of socks which someone could have walked back and grabbed. Nope...I had to wait 40 MINUTES and was almost late meeting my biking party. I would have bought from competitor store but this was only one open. The absurdity of the experience made me feel like i was in an episode of Portlandia. The funniest part was the fact that the staff seem so concerned about germs yet they failed to wipe down the diseased e-pen of the the credit card reader handled bare handed customer after customer. LMAO give me a break.

I've been to a ton of bike shops in my life and have NEVER had my bike fixed so quickly and they did a great job - even got a demo so I could ride that morning - these guys are Awesome! Thanks Erich and Patrick - you guys rock,

These people know what they're doing. Got me fitted with foot pads, but also helped pad and shape my liner as well. I bought some ski socks here that later developed a small hole on the heel after a few days of skiing. Returned and exchanged the socks without any resistance.

Patrick, Holly, Niko...what more can we say, but you all rock -- outstanding customer service and expertise.

Best selection and a staff that took as much time as I needed to talk over the ski that was right for me. They truly enjoyed talking over ski technology where as the other shops I visited just wanted to put me in one of their limited demo selections. Place was awesome and even followed up with me after my trip by email to make sure I had a record of what I had skied.

My go-to! Holly literally saved my season by putting me in a better fitting pair of boots than what I had previously purchased elsewhere. No more numb toes and cramped feet! A month or so later, Holly and a few other folks advised me towards my next ski purchase. Picked them up yesterday and put them to good use on the mountain, and they checked all the boxes I was asking for! They also helped set my husband up with a new pair of snowboard boots. These guys are the best!

The best snowboard demo experience I've ever had. Americo, our fitter, and what I would call an expert about knowledge of snowboards, helped me try out multiple boards that he thought would fit my riding style, and figured out what the best stance was, for me. Two of us ended up buying snowboards from him and shipping them home. We would have never found the perfect boards without him helping us out every day.

Hands down the best staff of any ski shop anywhere. I mean it when I say they work tirelessly to make the most uncomfortable invention comfortable for you (i.e. ski boots). Sam, Herc, Michael - the whole team is fabulous. Not to mention it's a family business and the Gleason gals are always involved in offering the best of the best when it comes to gear and doing their part to make the community better. (Local Tip: Always bring snacks and treats for the shop crew. Chocolate...beer...cookies...beer...did I mention beer?)

My dad s binding came completely off his ski in the middle of a run. Thankfully he didn t get incredibly injured! Absolutely unacceptable that this would happen and handled extremely poorly by the staff. Skis banged up and low quality to begin with, for $60 a day. Would recommend avoiding renting here!

Went in 30 min before close. Where not greeted by what appeared to be 6 to 8 employees( most seemed to be talking amongst themselves. We wondered to where we believed we where supposed to be and stood there for 5 min or longer. A woman finally told us to sign in if we haven't been here before. So all six of us sign in and now stand there while women helps a group of four while all the other employees are standing around. There seemed to be no since of customers are here we need to help. I'm in the service industry myself, have never left a review before but after the total disregard of the employees I was compelled too. The two people standing in ski area 1 female and 1male seemed to be the only employees working. We will go to christys

I have been canted and aligned in the top shops in America and the boot Dr is the best. Thanks to Joe and Bob.

I bought new gear and dropped around one grand.
I got told they couldn t mount my ski that day and they made me an appointment a few days later.
When I returned to my appointment I have been told they would not do that at the moment, I should return in around six weeks / end of November to let it be done!!
Ski season has already started and mine are still not mounted.
Thank you for getting me all the way to your shop twice with all of my gear and thanks for my lost afternoons.

They have some good boot doctors working for them but not all and that's why 4 stars.

Just an all out awesome place to shop, rent, get advice, make a pal. I love pretty much every person I have met at BDs. They have the best equipment, very kind, full of advice and I always feel local there. We come 4-5 times a year to bike/ski/board/hike- every last visit starts with boot doctors and the fun informed team. If they had a bar, id have a beer there as well. As an aside their bike mechanics are top notch, better than my LBS. just good pwople all around and a great atmosphere for trying out equipment.

Super experts will guide you to the right gear and won't try to upsell. Definitely get the sense that Bootdoctors is out to help skiers of all levels. Would recommend to anyone, and also want to call out that they are great with last minute request.

Rented all mountain bikes and had a great time on the trails. The staff was super friendly, the bikes in great condition, and everything came together for an awesome time. Excellent service, highly recommended!
