Valley Hope is absolutely amazing!!! When my husband Ray O. came to Valley Hope, his alcohol level was 456! This was the 3rd time his level was that high. He was also addicted to prescription pain medication. From the first day he was at Valley Hope, he absolutely loved it. He, like many of the residents, did not want to leave. It was very helpful to both of us that I was able to spend full weekends there and attend classes with him throughout the day. While it was not always easy for Ray while he was there, the staff was wonderful. Everyone at Valley Hope is very friendly and helpful; they want you to succeed! Today, September 6, 2019 is Ray's 6 month anniversary of being sober! He has absolutely no desire to drink or take pills - it really never even crosses his mind. We are both so thankful for Valley Hope and all the people there. We made many lasting friendships with the people Ray was there with and they all continue to help each other. I am so proud of what my husband has accomplished and I will be forever grateful to Valley Hope!

Great place. Steve knows how to help you confront all your demons. I would recommend him as a counselor to anyone. Especially hard headed individuals like myself. I attribute 70 percent of my recovery to the short amount of time I spent with him working on my problems. The classes were ok but the one on one time with Steve is what really made it happen. After getting out I lived in Oxford House and continued my recovery. I thank everybody at this facility for everything they do! Especially momma in house keeping. She made a big angry Russian, sweet and friendly.I enjoyed my time there and have moved on to do better things. But this place will always hold a special place in my heart.

Super disappointed. Went through the process of checking out (yes it was two days early.. but I still checked out with the staff.) Waited around while they finalized billing paperwork. Was told I had a follow up with primary care doctor two weeks out and was given my medications. Turns out I only received enough medication to last 5 days. No one mentioned that I would not have enough medication. This would have been an important heads up. When I realized I didn't have enough medication, I tried to get a prescription called in so I would not go cold turkey off the anxiety medicine I had been taking 3X a day for the past 26 days. Spoke to office staff at 8AM.. Didn't find out until 6:43 PM that the doctor would not call in prescription to last me another 9 days. Said I was no longer their patient. Crazy. Doctors call in scripts all the time. Clearly when money is not coming in the care stops! I now feel like money is the driving factor and not patient success. If they cared about the patient they would not want someone to go cold turkey off anxiety medications because they refused to call in a script to get someone to the appointment they scheduled with a primary care doctor. Any good that I felt toward this facility has now been wiped away! Unfortunate!!!

Valley Hope is exactly as the name suggests...a placed filled with HOPE. The staff is very invested in the wellness of their patients. You can sense the love from everyone on staff from the housekeeping, groundskeepers/maintenance team, nursing staff, counselors and the administration. These people change lives.

They only care about money, insurance paid most of my bill, usually rehabs sense they re there to help will just write off the rest of your bill, not valley hope. They send it off to debt collectors. Valley hope wasn t even helpful. Didn t learn a thing there. Am going on 11 months sober but not because of this place

My councilor bull faced lied to me on more than one occasion and completely miss judged me. The head financial advisor treated me very poorly as well. It made my stay way harder then it needed to be when I was already dealing with so much. The only reason I m giving them two stars is because the nursing staff was very nice and pleasant as well as the housekeeping. I would recommend atchison, Kansas valley hope, not Booneville!

My husband went here. He was doing well until the staff told him he needed to cut out all people in his life prior to seeking treatment. Even those that have been supportive of him for the last 10 years. Which mind you neither myself his wife or his stepdaughter have ever had a problem with drugs or alcohol. If someone could explain to me why this was told to him. To cut out the people who have been with him and supported him through the hard times to just to cut people out this way. I would never recommen this place to my worse enemy.
