Place is nice, but service is terrible slow, especially if you expect change back. You should definitely hire better stuff and service manager. Now the service ruins reputation of the Bateel brand. Total catastrophe service.

Great food as usual from Bateel, but super slow service.

The food was fantastic. The service was not. Sparkling water served with black bits in glass. Taken away but no replacement of drink until asked. A choice of child's set menu when asked to amend was all too much making the experience overcomplicated. Resolution to buy 2 meals to appease my child. 2 tables put together. 4 place settings for 5 people. Kept having to ask for additional cutlery etc. Lots of staff. None actually great at thinking. No-one asked how our meals were. Just a shame. The standard of food was excellent. The cleanliness, wonderful. The customer service not great.

Not for Dubai residents....super slow service and food came cold. Staff didn't seem to care much either and it wasn't even that busy.

Tourists enjoy the location but there are MUCH better options in the area.

If you really want Bateel then go to the one in Media City.

They have nice locations in the biggest malls they have nice menus too

I give 1 star for the service. But the dates options that they have are incredible.
Location is good and next to the parking in the busy JBR area.
I would recommend it for their Arabic style coffee which is offered with Rotab dates. A real delicacy if you have enough time to wait for their waiters to give u attention.

Had a quick snack and a coffee whilst visiting the Dubai Mall. The snack and coffee were very good and deserved, after walking round this huge shopping centre.

A great breakfast option in JBR Dubai .. beautiful interior, very fresh pastries and excellent service and coffee ... also reasonably priced. An all round good option. The egg white omelette was very nice.

Wonderful breakfast spot in the marina. We had an egg white omelette and avocado smoothie , and a Lebanese egg dish. Everything was very good.

We came here for a late breakfast, the location is nice and the food was really great. The eggs Benedict was awesome however it wasn't really hot when they served it. Also service can be abit slow so you need to keep an eye for a free waiter for them to come and serve you. Still I will come back again for sure :)

Two visits at two different times of the day (breakfast and dinner).
Very good and very healthy food. The calm and soothing but nothing more. Small flat: the portions of tuna or other animal protein a little light in the dishes.
Recommended dish: bateel poke bowl and kale pesto!

I only have 2 stars as the food was pretty good however, the service was atrocious. We were seated immediately and gave our coffee orders and then did not see a server until 20 minutes later when we waved someone down to give our breakfast orders. Another 15 minutes passed when we waved another server down to ask how much longer our coffee orders (2 americanos...not too extravagant) would be. 5 minutes later, our coffee arrived and 5 minutes after that, our food. That was the last we saw of any service person until 15 minutes after we were done eating when we had to wave yet another server down to ask for the bill.

I was quite surprised at this considering the reviews. And we weren t the only one as we heard others around us complaining about service as well. We will not be back.

They are so unprofessional and deliver ypur food so late and cold... I called the restaurant and they couldn t even find my order for following up - NOT RECOMMENDABLE if you want to stress yourself go ahead and order online

A beautiful restaurant dealing with varied varieties at reasonable prices

Delicious breakfast with really good options. Eggs cooked to your preference with some lovely add-ons like avocado and Turkey bacon. Drinks were also nice and fresh. Staff were efficient and friendly.

Take a lot of time to make tee and prepare the Bill.

I love Bateel coffee, but the pistachio ice cream is awesome!

Great location and service - late at night they may not have pastry you want but coffee and dates re top quality.

Great food and drinks but service needs some improvement

Cafe Bateel is home to a delicious blend of arabic traditional dishes with a mediterranean twist. Partly restaurant, partly cafe and partly bakery, it offers a wide selection of pastries, hot beverages (its "DIY" chocolate, a hot glass of milk and chunk of gourmet chocolate you mix by yourself is a staple) and main dishes. Excellent service and sophisticated lounge atmosphere with reasonable prices.
