Amazing experience to see how our body looks like from the inside.
It's a must to visit this museum! I always recommend it to everyone!
Very interesting! Had expected it to be bigger, but totally worth it!
In general, I'm not a museum fan but the museum was really great, highly recommended. It's really exciting to see how a human body is built up.
Highly recommended the visit ... I do not give the 5 stars for lacking audio-guide.
Intriguing, you wont see anything like it anywhere else!
Special experience, but after a while you have seen it.
Fantastic Experience learnt a lot about the human body, it's very well done and really worth a visit.
Very good exibition for all ages. It's incredible to see real bodies. Even though you would never actually this it is.
nice concept, you can definitely learn some stuff from this exhibition
Already quite exciting and beautifully prepared. But it is a pity that you have to pay extra for everything, even for the lockers to hand over your backpack (2 )
I'm a Nurse and found this highly fascinating - as did my non medical partner and his teenage daughter. Interactive exhibits, imaginative displays, and showing off some diseases without being gross (in my view!) There are displays showing sexual interview in an educational yet also artistic view, but with warnings for those who would prefer to skip this part.
I very highly recommend this place, whatever background you have! If you happen to have someone medical or scientific to take with you, they might be able to expand more on some information, but it's not necessary!
Fantastic and scientific.!
!
None of that, tired almost immediately. Better to do more in Amsterdam
Very nice, very interesting a must See in Amsterdam at the end you perform a full body test that measures muscle fat and body condition! All free ! The only thing that did not seem to me is that you have to keep things and the locker costs you part of the entrance 2 euros that is expensive ...
Just. Seriously. Go. And leave behind annoying people who are cringing about seeing sliced up dead people. It's the only way you will come face to face with at least who you are physically. Or, you know, go study medicine.
Very informative. It was also very interesting during corona and only limited visitors were allowed access. The real people who were exhibited were very authentic
Good place to look around, Very strange but different, Definitely worth a look
A place full of wonder and humility. Personally, I prefer to keep the pictures in memory and not with the camera. Should have been visited.
Was super exciting & cool. Unfortunately, there was very little German information about the respective artworks. It would be an advantage if this would be adjusted. You had to be able to read English or Dutch very well.
It was fine but there was too much of a happiness theme for myself, that stuff is interesting enough without additional theme to that
You'll get a full knowledge as to what is going on in your body and why one should quit smoking.
Also an instrument to measure blood pressure and heart rate.
Proper weird to think they were actual people but a good place to burn a couple of hours
A rare museum with everything you can not imagine about the body of the name, blood vessels, organs and everything ..
Amazing amazing amazing! Great for the inquisitive mind
Body Worlds was a unique experience, if you know a lot about the human body it will not be much new information, but the presentation and the art of the bodies themselves is quite worth the experience!
Fun and interactive exhibition teaching the basic fundamental of healthy and happy life. This is the first time I see human body in so precise details. Highly recommended!
Very weird but very interesting and informative once you get over the fact that they are real bodies
Decided to visit the one in Amsterdam after seeing one in Manchester UK many years ago.
The one in Manchester was better by far.
This is still an interesting place to visit just not the best
educational, everything was well explained through text images
Visited twice, and both the times learnt something new about the most complex and sophisticated machines of all times, the human body. Really informative and one of a kind experience. Plus they offer you free health assessment at the end of the tour.
Very cool. Teaches about the human body with a different perspective
A must visit
interesting, but if your stomach is sensitive, don't go there
Before entering, I didn't have a clear idea of what to expect, I thought it was just an original and a bit macabre way of making art and instead I had to change my mind. It is an original way of explaining the human body and the dynamics that revolve around humanity '.
Plastinated bodies, like anatomical parts, are something spectacular.
The cost of the ticket is 18 euros but it is absolutely worth it.
Good exhibition with a lot of interesting content, seemed quite short overall though
Fascinating! So much you can learn from the exhibits. The theme of what happiness is was extremely thought provoking.
Very beautiful exhibition about the human body. Unbelievable that they are also real bodies.
Well worth visiting if you aren't squeamish. Definitely a unique experience.
There is a lot to see. A must for anyone who intrests on the human body. You can expect about 1.5 hours of time.
For me, the exhibition was OK. More than once I do not have to go in there.
Best way to see that we are more than just flesh. Amazing... One of the top 3 places for city
The exhibition is very good, the human body shown in that way is impressive. I would give 5 stars if the devices that measure blood pressure worked correctly, I have had a good scare!
Very worthwhile, also to buy your ticket online. That takes half
Interesting museum, but it's not worthy the expansive ticket you must pay to get in
So interesting. Great activities and such an amazing insight on the human body.
A must visit place to know about our body. It gives us more awareness
Strange to see how you are built up as a person and dried like meat
Very informative! The exposure is well selected - the prepared bodies do not cause negative emotions and rejection.
Very educational. They covered every (18+ parts are behind a partition so also kid friendly) part of the body in great detail with both descriptions and actual preserved body parts.
Spectacular exhibition Made from 200 REAL human bodies. All organs are shown in full and their role explained. Great insight in the human Body.
And liked the exhibition a lot. It is thematically very well prepared and invited to reflect and rethink.
It's a great opportunity to visit an exciting and educational exhibition in Amsterdam.
Those who come early benefit from the fact that it is very quiet. 2 hours later there was clearly too much going on for a sober tour.
This real body sound a little shocking at first but very interesting later
Inspiring and educational. It is incredible how complex and intricate is human body.
BODY WORLDS / Amsterdam EXPO: Discover the Secrets of the Human Body
BODY WORLDS / Amsterdam EXPO is a unique exhibition that offers visitors an opportunity to explore the human body in a way that has never been seen before. The exhibition features real anatomical models that have been preserved through a process called plastination, which allows visitors to see the inner workings of the human body up close and personal.
The exhibition was created by Dr. Gunther von Hagens, who developed plastination in 1977 while studying anatomy at Heidelberg University. Since then, he has used this technique to create more than 20 exhibitions around the world, attracting millions of visitors.
At BODY WORLDS / Amsterdam EXPO, visitors can expect to see more than 200 real anatomical specimens on display. These include full-body plastinates as well as individual organs and organ systems such as the nervous system and circulatory system.
One of the highlights of this exhibition is its focus on health education. Visitors can learn about various health issues such as obesity, smoking, and heart disease through interactive displays and multimedia presentations. The aim is to educate people about how their bodies work and how they can take care of themselves better.
Another unique aspect of BODY WORLDS / Amsterdam EXPO is its emphasis on ethics. All specimens used in this exhibition are from donors who have given their consent for their bodies to be used for educational purposes after death. This ensures that all exhibits are respectful towards human life and dignity.
The exhibition also offers guided tours led by experienced guides who provide detailed explanations about each exhibit's significance and relevance to human anatomy.
In addition to its educational value, BODY WORLDS / Amsterdam EXPO also provides an unforgettable experience for visitors looking for something different from traditional museums or galleries. The exhibits are visually stunning with intricate details that showcase just how amazing our bodies truly are.
Overall, BODY WORLDS / Amsterdam EXPO is a must-see attraction for anyone interested in science or health education or simply looking for an exciting day out with family or friends!
