This is an unmissable experience. The exhibition is unforgettable, the attention to detail is outstanding and many parts are interactive! I've learnt a great deal during my visit, it is so much more than expected.

6 floors in groups. I bought a ticket for 16 euros. I do not regret it. A lot of impressions. Everything is exciting, amazing. Spent 1.5 hours. It is a pity that there is no audio guide in Russian. Be sure to visit the museum again if you make an audio guide.

Very interesting, educational and thought provoking. I've been to others and they've all had themes and this one was my favourite. I wish the foetus section was more hidden and had more staff around.

I saw children looking horrified at what is a very real foetus and some girls taking photos of them... Which is just wrong on so many levels.

A very interesting and educational museum for the basic knowledge of the human body. The location is only small and the information very superficial. Could have gone into more detail about pathologies.

This exhibit was fascinating. The creator not only gives the public a very unique and elaborate way to understand the inner workings of the human body, but also frames the exhibit in a positive light. Highly reccomended. Allow at least a full hour, but probably a maximum of two

Second visit of the exhibition for me (1st one in London very very long ago) but I didn't loved it as much this time. The scenography is too simple and not very qualitative + I'm not really into this "happiness" hook...

So interesting, have recommended to all of my friends and will continue to do so! Wasn't too busy when we went and bought our tickets as a bundle from one of the tourist shops which are all over the place. Recommend doing this as it turns out cheaper!

Years ago I saw the Bodies Human exhibit when it came to my area and it was the coolest thing I'd ever seen. This was very disappointing in comparison. It is a very small exhibit and when we were there it was extremely crowed by rowdy British Stag parties. I would say if you absolutely can't live without seeing it, then go but there are so many other places you can spend your time in Amsterdam. Their staff is extremely kind and awesome it's just not worth the cost in my opinion.

Not to miss!!! Even though the concept is a little confusing, the bodies of these individuals are treated with a lot of decency. Being passionate about anatomy, I found the human body in all its beauty. This exhibition is the most unusual and the most beautiful proof of "madness" of this city.

Exceptional museum over 6 floors.

Exceptional museum over 6 floors.
You really get to watch more than you can think. Very unusual but remarkable and recommended for anyone who is interested in the human body in general.

There should have been more focus on science instead of 'Happiness' in my point of view. The focus on an ethereal sense of happiness instead of science and anatomy made it all a tad tacky at times.

Especially the gift shop at the end felt a bit off (the pieces on loan from Museum Vrolik deserve way more attention than being stuck in the gift shop for example).

Nonetheless, what a sight to see.

The building has a bunch of stairs, but lifts are available as well and staff was very friendly.

Very interesting museum where you can spend a good amount of time and learn something new. Tickets can be bought online in advance or at shops throughout the city. I spent around 2 hours inside and liked it. It's not your typical museum so it stays interesting. At the end, there were these machines which can tell you all about your own bodu such as body fat and other things. I have no idea how accurate it is but it is a fun edition and since it's included with your ticket, definitely check it out.

About BODY WORLDS / Amsterdam EXPO

BODY WORLDS / Amsterdam EXPO: Discover the Secrets of the Human Body

BODY WORLDS / Amsterdam EXPO is a unique exhibition that offers visitors an opportunity to explore the human body in a way that has never been seen before. The exhibition features real anatomical models that have been preserved through a process called plastination, which allows visitors to see the inner workings of the human body up close and personal.

The exhibition was created by Dr. Gunther von Hagens, who developed plastination in 1977 while studying anatomy at Heidelberg University. Since then, he has used this technique to create more than 20 exhibitions around the world, attracting millions of visitors.

At BODY WORLDS / Amsterdam EXPO, visitors can expect to see more than 200 real anatomical specimens on display. These include full-body plastinates as well as individual organs and organ systems such as the nervous system and circulatory system.

One of the highlights of this exhibition is its focus on health education. Visitors can learn about various health issues such as obesity, smoking, and heart disease through interactive displays and multimedia presentations. The aim is to educate people about how their bodies work and how they can take care of themselves better.

Another unique aspect of BODY WORLDS / Amsterdam EXPO is its emphasis on ethics. All specimens used in this exhibition are from donors who have given their consent for their bodies to be used for educational purposes after death. This ensures that all exhibits are respectful towards human life and dignity.

The exhibition also offers guided tours led by experienced guides who provide detailed explanations about each exhibit's significance and relevance to human anatomy.

In addition to its educational value, BODY WORLDS / Amsterdam EXPO also provides an unforgettable experience for visitors looking for something different from traditional museums or galleries. The exhibits are visually stunning with intricate details that showcase just how amazing our bodies truly are.

Overall, BODY WORLDS / Amsterdam EXPO is a must-see attraction for anyone interested in science or health education or simply looking for an exciting day out with family or friends!
