I love the people at the Town n Country Y and have been going there for 5 years. Yesterday, my sister in law was in town and wanted to meet a friend at the Bob Sierra Y. I took her and since I needed to work out too, I also went in. WOW! What a beautiful AND well equipped Y. I now have to decide IF I'm going back to what and who I know OR start over in a newer, better equipped, and more spacious Y. Thanks for my problem!!

My own experience is after I recovered from cancer, The YMCA had a cancer survivor class. We had a great trainer who worked out with us and showed us how to use all the equipment in the gym . This class was given with compassion and love,, I am ever so thankful for this experience

We have been members since 2011 and we love it! I think is a safe place to enjoy quality time with family as well as me time dropping my son off at the child care while I work out. My son has been in swim lessons since last year and he loves every instructor that has the opportunity to teach him;session(6classes) fee is cheap when you are a member compared to seal swim school, which only teaches one class/week at a higher rate.

Need open court days for guest interested in playing basketball or volleyball. Longer practice time for volleyball teams. Other than that it's a rude place the staff pushed us off of a free court. They make rude remarks. My property was stolen by a staff member. They over charge and mis advertise events. No offers to older teens and kids all sports cut off at 15 unlike other YMCA that play until 18 the staff is very rude the coaches are terrible

The Bob Sierra YMCA of Tampa charged my credit card without my permission. They don't even notify you when they do it. They are not trustworthy. Don't give them your credit card or debit card numbers. I'll take my daughter out of their gymnastics class and will cancel our membership.

Fantastic soccer program, perhaps one of the best around, if anyone's looking to enroll their children into a soccer program, definitely recommend this YMCA. Fantastic and I've been coaching for 6+ years, as for the rest of the YMCA, I'm quite unsure about it, most of it is new territory for me.

The camp has been a phenomenal experience for my daughter. James the director is so available and knowledgeable that it makes our lives very easy. The communication starting a few weeks before camp And has continued throughout the entire summer. As a parent it is so important that we get the proper communication and I feel very strongly that James has done an amazing job.

All the counselors have come in contact with have been very friendly and very good to my daughter.

My daughter has many allergies and they have been so careful and accommodating that I feel comfortable knowing that she will attend this summer camp every year moving forward.

The staff is beyond friendly and knowledgeable, from the people covering the desk to the higher up that are surprising to see roaming the facility. The equipment is awesome and is of a wide variety. The atmosphere alone establishes a friendly and family oriented vibe. You couldn t find a better place to join!

It is disturbing to think that an amazing brand as the YMCA has allowed this location to run so poorly. I took my daughter into this beautiful gymnastics center because we have friends that attend & come to find out that the people running it have less than no gymnastics experience whatsoever. It doesn't matter if it is recreation or competition, Gymnastics is a very dangerous sport and the fundamentals and basics are the key to safety throughout the life of the sport. How do you hire people that we are supposed to entrust the lives of our children with and she has no gymnastics experience. Nice people don't prevent injuries. Knowledge is power and they lack that here. It starts at the top, whoever is making the hiring decisions here should really consider new interview tactics if zero experience is what is provided leadership roles. I urged my friend to leave this program.

The lady with the brown hair that works at the door named Donna helped me to get a membership here. she's really sweet and friendly, she understands that some people are not financially situated and try's to help them become member.
The gym has nice equipment, clean locker rooms and showers, staff are friendly. I definitely prefer this location for anyone that's looking for a good gym for their family.

We love Tyler and the gymnastics crew; we love the basketball clinic and coaches there; we love the instructors who teach the group classes; we love the childcare and youth room, we love the summer camp; we love the friendliness of the staff at the front desk; we love how Ryan took our temperature before allowing us to enter the gym; we love the cleanliness during COVID!

I was just there....my 5yr old did the swimming test and the lifeguard did not let her go down the slide...so freaking unfair, I even cried, I felt so horrible for her, she was so determined to do the test and she did! For nothing.... Never coming to this Y ever!

We are members for another YMCA and wow was I DISAPPOINTED coming to this location. No one knows what they are doing. The place is a disaster with construction everywhere. Workout equipment in the halls, everything in disarray.... a real utter LET DOWN. Kid zone was a joke and the worker didn't even know what age was in what area and seemed totally confused by the simple question. Front desk ladies were pretty clueless and only one really was able to help me - she needs a raise because the others were terrible and served no purpose to help minus swiping a card to get in. I highly recommend not joining based on this location - try another because they don't all suck. This one should close, revamp and a quicker rate and then accept clients.

The only reason this place even got a star at all is because the Youth building impressed. It's a short drive but the gymnastics were really awesome, the staff at both entries were knowledgable and personable - overall it offered great schedules, variety and lots of learning going on! The splash area and water slide looked really ideal and kid friendly.

We are regulars at a different Y that is extremely close to our home. Last minute I went to sign my daughter up for a week of camp and we were told that they were sold out. We then decided to reach out to some other Y s close to where we live. After a little reading up we decided on Bob Sierra and boy are we glad!!!!! My 11 year old daughter, an up coming six grader, attended a few weeks of camp after the initial week. Her favorite activities were playing kickball in the gym and going to gymnastics/learning on the bars. The kids did not have electronics (which I loved) instead they played!! She loved how they had an opening ceremony everyday with songs and dancing. They had planned activities all week like swimming, water slides, splash pads, rock climbing tower, swings, fields like to the Florida Aquarium, Kona Ice came out twice a week. She has already asked if next school break and summer break we can go back for her to be a CIT!

I can t say enough good things about this location! I was very nervous and hesitant to leave my one and two-year-old at the Kidzone but the ladies who work there are so sweet and kind and my kids love it! So mommy gets 45 minutes every morning to herself to work out and the kids get to play with new friends and new toys! The whole facility is extremely clean and they have everything you could ever need to exercise. They even have Wi-Fi, a complementary coffee station, group classes, racquetball courts, a splash pad for kids, gymnastics...The list goes on! Also if somebody refers you or you refer somebody else you each get 20% off the membership price! Highly, highly recommend! Very satisfied customer here.

The monthly membership for an adult ages 30+ is $...

The monthly membership for an adult ages 30+ is $52. Why so high? They have discounts for families, seniors and youth but not for single members. It seems like single members are being penalized even though families use more resources. Teenagers work the front desk and phones but are not given much information and most times you need to leave a message. There needs to be variety, bring back some free style group exercise classes. Members should have a saying on what classes are offered and not be left up to corporate. They even got rid of the suggestions box, I guess they have enough members and don't need our input. Please keep it warmer in the group exercise and locker rooms, we are supposed to be hot and sweaty when we work out and many members are complaining. It's upsetting to see a "non-profit" organization founded on Christian principles become unaffordable for many average income making members.

Fairly standard facility, nothing to write home about. They were performing a lot of construction during our time being members. So the facility was not 100% operational, but we looked pass this because of the convenient location. The major problem came when we moved to a different city, and tried to cancel the membership. I spoke with a Dalia Rodriguez who was very rude, and not understanding of our situation. They kept charging our credit card for months even after we cancelled. They were unapologetic and matter of fact when I brought up the fact I was being charged for a service I could not use. Bad service, rude people! High recommend to look elsewhere.

Great experience from the beginning! Instructor has been great with my daughter and allowed for a gentle approach to being comfortable in the water which we have been happy with. If we weren t moving we would definitely continue classes!

My family and I have nothing but wonderful things to say about this YMCA. Every member of the staff is out of this world. Robyn is a stand out for us. She always greets our family and has something nice to say. She makes us feel welcomed there and we look forward to interacting with her. Frank who we call (Stand Lee) may be 81 but is also an amazing asset to this location. Michael and Rebecca also stand out because they also take an extra second to greet us when they see us. Lastly, Bart is one of the nicest guys we have ever met! As a bonus Mrs. Lindy is the greatest of great!

The facility is beautiful, the equipment is everything you need for a great workout, and there are so many classes available it's hard to know where to start. Also, advanced personal training is available for a very reasonable price.

Don't be fooled by bright and shiny, this gym is run by jokes and your kid will have no chance of progression. They used to be a team to beat so we were intrigued, but that is a time of the past. There is no true development program, just an overpriced extra recess for your kids. A big building to waste with no real coaches in it.

I love the Bob Sierra YMCA. I have gone there regularly three days per week for the past seven or eight years. There is a great array of exercise machines. The gym is always bright and clean. The staff are friendly. The gym is uncrowded when I go in at about 5:15 AM, and there is always fresh hot coffee when I arrive.

The aquatics director Nick and the lifeguards Mike...

The aquatics director Nick and the lifeguards Mikel and Chris (the younger one) make me feel very welcomed each time I use the pool. I had a very unnerving run-in with several other lifeguards, but Nick was quick to remedy the problem and put my mind at ease. He has made things right every time I had a concern. I also want to commend lifeguards Chloe, Ashley, and Aida for their extra-friendly customer service. Also, Austin and Savannah have gone the extra mile to take care of me! I have two disabilities that are not apparent to the naked eye. But all whom I've mentioned have taken my needs into consideration without hesitation! I can be a pain in the neck because I need some simple special accommodations. But without them, I wouldn't be able to exercise. And without the aquatics crew I've mentioned here, I wouldn't even *want* to exercise. They add value to my time at the YMCA. And they take great care of my special needs kids! Thanks! -Valerie Davis

Visiting from out of town, they seem to have it all. Would love the outdoor lap lanes. We hit the weights and cardio equipment. Remodel is still in progress, but the changes are great since our last visit. Space is larger and open. Would love the ninja warrior equipment and the crossfit classes if we were local.

This ymca is like the mob what a rip off. Sorry kid's and adults You will Never get to use basketball gym. basketballs real small real old bad shape to play ball with. you have to bring your own ball to play. sorry kid's and members no swimming no staff on duty. The place can use some fixing all around, look at light fixtures dead roaches, cut wires coming out off wall's so kid's can play with it, pad's on gym wall missing so a kid or member can slip while playing basketball an run head into the wall. You can find maintenance man always in back room siting down all day, I wish I can get paid to sit all day amazing job maybe he works for free i don't know what's going on there? . Super misleading basketball gym the one only key feature they sold my family and friends kid's. The basketball gym never open to play basketball for members because some activities take up the entire gym two whole courts 4 hoops, so you telling me that my kids have to play basketball outside where they can get hurt or in trouble or meet bad people . The weight room smell like urine the air smell dirty at times. water fountain bye maintenance office is so hot maybe need to be fixed. I swear nobody is never ever cleaning the equipment it's always dirty, see for your self just wipe anything down and look at the mrsa bacteria growing on papper towel super dirty real nasty. nobody is never around to help you with moving equipment. floors dirty and dusty at times.don't lay down on pads to do yoga or abs you just my pay to lay down in people's sweaty germs, yoga pads reminds me of a petri dish of bacteria growing on it maybe mrsa wiped it down see for yourself test it and keep antibiotics on hand. I've been going here for 5y the last 1y really sucks with the new changes and NEW STAFF and new director,Assistant director, and district director all sucks don't see it getting better. So I'm cancelling my membership just like everybody else. Some old staff and members still there told me this new staff that work behind closed doors in there office acting like they care about you or your family they just care about making cuts to save an make money to keep there jobs... I wonder how much in percentage of non profit goes to the ymca. Because it sounds like we paying to put money in your pockets. members are numbers so they can get to keep doors open and it will stay open no matter what happens. Super over priced for b.s. i can get better service from three other gym for 10$dollars. I want to stay in shape with my friends family and you will never get to do that here at bob sierra. I also get a racist feeling from some staff and some members not all just some, and that's just okay because my eyes are open now. There is other gyms that will love to take care of my friends and family with respect and love, not fake like you guys at bob sierra smiling into my face with your fake Ness for a way high price to get sick and also get to use dirty mersa equipment. I don't understand this gym is for fun fitness and to meet nice people not to get sick and stress out. Peace out fishy ladys at ymca Bob Sierra I have had enough.................
