My husband and I love Bob Evans and stop whenever we can. We have never had a bad meal or experience until today. We stopped at the Gallapolis, OH location this morning for an egg sandwich with bacon and 2 coffees to go. I thought we had been transported into the movie Five Easy Pieces. Two servers could not find an appropriate button on the computer, so we had to pay for an order of buttered toast, an order of bacon, and one egg scrambled. We paid and waited long enough to have eaten a full breakfast there. We finally received some egg in between two soggy pieces of bread, not buttered, with no bacon. Very disappointed.

Terribly inconsistent every time we order from here. We typically get the spicy bacon hash and what you get is different every time. First order we got a nice decent serving with everything we asked for. Next three times? Not so much. Today we ordered the same thing and were given what looks like a child sized serving (for almost $10 a piece, mind you) with none of the sides/toppings we asked for:

- Sourdough bread was missing
- Scallions were missing
- One plate was missing an egg (supposed to cone with 2, only got 1)
- Got about 1/3 of the typical serving

Bob Evans is an absolute joke now. I would stay clear of here and eat somewhere that actually gives you what you ordered and paid for. Will not be returning to this location nor the Rio Grande location.

The restaurant was pretty busy but we were seated rather quickly and the food came within minutes of ordering. The waitress was friendly and checked in on us.

Western omelettes were good, with large dices of ham, onion and pepper. Hashbrowns were a bit on the bland side but overall the food was satisfying.

The post from Jodene Barth sounds very familiar. Bob Evans has lost their way. It is more important to the "Company" that the menu be simplified. Not for the Customer or server's benefit. For the bean counters who think Bob Evans is a Fast Food Restaurant with a very limited menu which is controlled by the "MACHINE". People - Customers and Servers are just beans to the "MACHINE". The printed menu is very "Pretty" . Lots of pretty pictures and limited items. My wife and I were unable to get our usual items. They no longer are "available". The world has to wake up and demand that the bean counters listen to us for a change.

It took two servers to figure out what the "MACHINE" was telling them. They did a great job working against the odds to provide what the customer wants and expects.
