The environment is quiet. From the room, you can overlook the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge and the port. The room is clean and comfortable. The waiter was kind and friendly, and the buffet food was delicious.
Great hotel where they really know how to for their care their guess. The room was great, the breakfast world class. Having stayed at a number places in Zhuhai the Grand Bay View is the best bet for a two or three day stay.
One of the oldest hotels was otally renovated and changed in design in 2017. Now the interior looks much more modern. In general, all the services and eatery are quite good and the hotel is fully equipped. The location next to the coast and the bar street, but away from the Gongbei itself, is more than good. A nice alternative in Zhuhai.
Stayed at this hotel several times. Checking in is always messy and unnecessary lengthy process. Only one third of the rooms has clear view of the harbor. Those nicer rooms have a glass wall facing harbor and new bridge from Hong Kong. The harbor is often overcasted with morning and afternoon haze. You will first see the sun in the late morning hours after it finally resurfaces from of the pollution haze layers.
The web picture of the hotel is like many other photos in China, a PhotoShop creation. The bay water is green-brown and hotel is not that close to the muddy harbor. The breakfast is pretty good even for the western standards. The hotel s outdoor swimming pool is nice and warm enough for swimming in the month of October.
With a short walk down the hill and after crossing busy street with very fast moving cars (no respect for pedestrians), you will reach waterside. The walkway next to the waterline is clean and pleasant, but water itself is not. Still, you will feel safe and could have a pleasant workout. Bring your comfortable footwear.
The side of the bay, the sea view, the view is good, but now the renovation of the entire building, the entire appearance of the recent changes can only live next to the restaurant upstairs floor view the same view, but the construction site is very noisy in the morning.
