BMW Motorrad Park Lane Review

Feb 2017 I bought my R1200GS Adventure and posted the following review because I received outstanding service:
"Can't think of a better place to buy a BMW motorcycle from, Phil the sales person was excellent, very professional, knowledgeable and helpful throughout the whole process putting the customer first , highly recommended."
Feb 2018 whilst I thoroughly enjoyed the R1200GS Adventure I decided to replace it with the last of the K1300S models, the Motor Sport Edition. Phil got to work and located a brilliant low mileage example for me. He kept me updated throughout the process and was extremely helpful throughout. I repeat I cannot think of a better place to buy a BMW Motorcycle!!!

From the warm welcome through the door ( and the offer of a drink) to the after sales follow up by the Sales Team, i have been genuinely stunned by the enthusiasm and helpful interaction with Park Lane Motorrad. On returning home i have encouraged a biking friend to try the experience too.

Having previously purchased my last bike from Park Lane in 2014 and getting a great service, i did not hesitate to go back to Park Lane to purchase my next bike here.
I had excellent service from the sales rep Guiseppe who was always helpful in answering my queries, getting the best possible deal, making sure everything was in order, and ways always friendly and knowledgable.
All the staff there are friendly and are clearly bikers and are interested in their product, unlike some car salespeople you might meet. Would recommend it as a dealer to anybody.

I cannot recommended Duncan & the all the staff at BMW Park Lane highly enough as it provides brilliant customer service in an exceptionally friendly atmosphere especially with very friendly knowledgeable/experienced staff like Duncan who genuinely go out of there way to spend time with you helping make the right purchasing decisions on your next motorcycle in my case i moved from an GS 1200 Alpine to a K 1600GT (-:

Still have not come back to me with a price for the service, was promised an email for my S1000RR by a female service advisor. Have booked with another motorrad dealer in Alton.

18/04/19. Follow up spoke to Tim Newman (general manager) today. He was not apologetic, neither did he seem to care about the poor customer service offered. Avoid this place they do not care! You have been warned

I just bought my 1200RT from Duncan Bell at Park Lane. I have been dealing with Duncan for many years and it has always been a huge pleasure. Having bought countless cars and bikes from most manufacturers over the years I can attest that Duncan is the most professional, knowledgable and pleasant dealer I have ever met. He is also one of (very few) I consider a good friend. I am delighted he has moved to Park Lane as now both dealer and location suit me best.

Just bought a bike from Park Lane - just to say, great service (especially Philippe Young and Tim Newman) and a good experience overall. And the bike.... you need an s1000RR in your live!!!

Customer service is appalling at this place
Since the moment I got in no one even bother to approach me
Then I tried to order some parts over the phone, and they said
- the girl that takes care of that is on holidays so no one else could do it :))))
Today I called to try to book in for service and the kid (Leane )on the phone thinks she s speaking with her boyfriend or her father and it totally dismissed me and proceeds to put the phone down
I called back and they got surprised that I m abit upset about it !!!!
U think ???
Bmw is either paying them to much or not enough becouse this people are way to comfortable with there jobs or actually couldn t care less about it
They say the conversations are recorded at the beginning... I wanna see that
I wanna see how they gonna deal with this situation

Thursday, August 22, I turned to the service to make a simple oil refill, after 40 minutes of waiting and talking to 3 people, they took charge of my K1600 for the requested service. A special thanks to Peter who gave me the bike back and, above all, he smiled and gave me consideration (speaking Italian). Recently bought a motorbike from here, I was very well looked after by Giuseppe, he efficiently dealt with all the details over the phone and internet, it made the pick up day a much quicker and personal process. The staff were helpful and attentive when I arrived, showing as much excitement for my bike as I was. I felt valued through the whole process, not like some other delaerships. Thank you.

Bought a BMW R nine T Scrambler X recently from Park Lane. Had the pleasure of being assisted by Giuseppe Bonfiglio. He was very knowledgeable and steered me in the right direction in regards to choosing that particular model. The great customer service he provided even extended to him helping me get the insurance through go compare.

Exceptional service. Tom Hiney made the whole purchase a relaxed, informative, and interesting experience. No hard sell of unnecessary 'extras'. No unwanted phone calls seeking a sale. No patronising or ultra-technical chat. Just an easy interaction, introducing this rusty old biker to the advances and advantages of a modern bike (s1000xr se).

Bad customer service, useless staff.
Wanted to buy BMW GS1200 and pay in full for it, yet salesmen failed to grab even such an easy deal, were rude and wasted a lot of my time, would not go again, go for KTM instead!

He didn't give up even when we encountered not a few difficulties finding a buyer for my previous bike, which was not a BMW, but he made it simple and quick.
