Any time I had a question about my application or my lease, staff was quick to respond and help me understand everything. Finding out that Devin was no longer was a huge relief. They were a huge help when the pandemic hit and understanding if I had to be a week or two late with rent. Don't be an idiot and not pay rent at all, they still had to pay their staff and property taxes and such during this pandemic too.

The dude Devin Lehman is simply the worst property...

The dude Devin Lehman is simply the worst property manager ever.
He has refused to return my security deposit. And appears to be extremely rude during the phone call.
Judging from the reviews above you can tell how unprofessional and uncaring of a person he is.
If you are getting scammed by him, do not hesitate and take legal charges against him. He needs to learn his lesson.

The "customer service" team is completely unresponsive at most times. The main office's phone is usually off, so your calls will go to voicemail the majority of the time, with no call back. It takes weeks or months - yes, months - for simple maintenance requests or inquiries to be completed or even acknowledged even after multiple attempts at getting in touch with someone to resolve them. If my apartment complex hadn't been taken over by this company after I'd already signed my lease, I would never have stayed another year at this property. I've legitimately never dealt with more negligent, incompetent people, and it's only been a few months under their "management" (lack thereof).

Simone has been the most unprofessional person I have ever worked with. We told her about raccoons living in our attic a week ago, she told us she would take care of it. I texted her 5 days later to find out what they were going to do, she told me she would keep my updated and never texted me back. When I threatened to call the Madison building inspector, she told me they had taken all legal action they needed to . She decided then was a good moment to tell me that our neighbors had made noise complaints and that she got the noises on video . When asked why I hadn t been notified before on this issue, she couldn t respond. I m shocked to see how unprofessional and irresponsible this management company has been. Raccoons living directly above your head, scratching and running back and forth all day and night long is extremely disturbing.

There is NO HEAT in the apartments IN THE WINTER at The COLLEGIATE in Madison. BEWARE - apartments LOW 60's in the Winter. This is what $3000 per unit per month gets you. Multiple maintenance requests have been put in and still NO HEAT for the past TWO WEEKS. Some tenants are staying with friends. Impossible to get in touch with landlord or BMOC- the building manager, you get answering machine, answering service or dead dial tone. The housing authority is closed so no help there. The BMOC Management team has done NOTHING.

I've called every day for weeks trying to reach the only staff member BMOC claims has access to my subletting information. Devin has not picked up. Several people have applied for my unit and given up already because their applications have sat for weeks in their system with no action. Other staff members won't pass along messages or answer questions. The one time I was able to get through in the past few weeks, Devin insisted that he was doing all he could, which apparently was nothing at all.

They will come up with frivolous excuses to siphon off your security deposits. Students at UW Madison, with hard-earned hourly wages have to suffer in such cases. My deposit hasn't been returned on account of frivolous charges, which aggravated my suffering because of COVID.
Their agent Devin Lehman is extremely vicious and arrogant. He never responds positively to work orders raised.
He sent an unknown stranger to our apartment at night. When we asked if he had a legal lease, Devin threatened us to not ask of our new prospective roommate's lease or criminal background check. He said that we didn't have any right to ask anything about our new prospective roommates. So, you cannot even ask them if what they are doing is legal or not! Consequently, one person, who didn't sign any lease or didn't go through their screening process, was sent as our roommate!
Don't spare their or Devin's illegal activities or rowdy behavior. Complain to the University as well as legal authorities about how they make the students suffer.

Beware. Throughout my life I have lived in some terrible places, but nowhere matches BMOC s lack of professionalism. The company has responded terribly to the Covid-19 pandemic - having brought tours to my home without masks. They are unresponsive to repair requests - I had their workers leave equipment and ignore requests (had a bad kitchen light for months). Even their management is incompetent - I ve sent three emails and called everyday for two weeks, all to no response whatsoever. If you re thinking of living at one of their properties, don t. You deserve better. As for me, I m overjoyed to never have to deal with them again.
