Great little piece of Madison. Reasonably priced, excellent vodka selection (they are a vodkatorium) and the deserts are absolutely to die for... they were also recently renovated, so it's an even better restaurant than it was before. Highly recommended for anyone looking to get full... and be very happy afterwards!

PS - They also do brunch specials and whatnot, but I've only ever been there for dinner.

The website made the restaurant seem warm and inviting. The high ceilings and cheap furniture actually gave the opposite feeling. The food was also terrible. We barely touched anything we ordered, including drinks. The service was average, but the low quality of the dining fare will keep us from returning.

I'm not saying all of this because I am a former employee, but the breakfast is great, the eggs benedict is amazing, the French toast is great, but I'm really a fan of the cobb burger but the bowling alley burger is my personal favorite & their fries? To die for + they have great desserts & a awesome selections of cocktails... I love the bacon wrapped cheese curds too. #TeamBluephies#

We used Bluephies today for catering at Wisconsin Brewing Co. - Awesome service, excellent food! They made our small training event stand out.

Thanks! I would highly recommend for your next company or social event!

One of my favorite restaurants in Madison.....SO good!! I love the sweet potato ravioli, fondue, tots (they are HUGE!!!!), and the bacon wrapped cheese curds! Everything is SO SO delicious! My only complaint is that some of the portions are a little small (ravioli & curds) and the bacon wrapped cheese curds are very expensive, especially for the amount you get ....but they are SO SO good sooooo maybe its worth it! Haha

Honestly one of my favorite restaurants in the area. With a unique menu full of delectable options, I struggle to choose what to eat. My favorite (thus far) has to be the shrimp jambalaya quesadilla.

I don't like leaving reviews under four stars, but I was fairly underwhelmed with Bluephies. My sandwich was decent but not life altering by any means, and I was further disappointed that the reason for my visit, to try Bluephie's famous cookie dough egg roll desert, was squandered when I was informed the restaurant had completely run out in the early afternoon. The staff was incredibly friendly however, and I understand kitchens do occasionally run out of things, but it was a bummer to say the least.

We ordered the stuffed french toast, two benedicts, a denver scrambler, the pierogi poutine, and the bacon wrapped cheese curds.

The french toast looked, felt, and tasted like it has only been cooked on one side, and barely at that. The side that had been "cooked" looked like it had touched the grill for maybe 15 seconds, the other side was soggy with liquid, as well as ice cold. I live five minutes away, and was there to pick up my food before it was done cooking. There should be absolutely no reason for my food to go from hot off the grill to ice cold during a five minute drive home, unless that reason is that it wasn't hot off the grill in the first place.

The pierogi poutine is described as pierogi's topped with cheese curds and gravy. There were maybe three cheese curds total in the entire order.

The hollandaise is described as "real" in the menu, and it would be, if real hollandaise sauce was orange and tasteless. The English muffin for the Hangover Benedict was soggy, even though the hollandaise was on the side, and there was nothing crispy about the potato pancake for the Potato Benedict.

The bacon wrapped cheese curds were Bluephies only saving grace, and they couldn't save much.

I've lived in Milwaukee and Madison and have ordered breakfast/brunch from many different restaurants, many different times. Never have I been more disappointed in almost 70$ worth of food than I was when I ordered from Bluephies. We won't be ordering again.

I ordered the Chicken Schnitzel due to the description on the menu, which was amazing. However, the entire dish was sitting in a small pool of oil, and it all tasted like Broccoli. The Spaetzle with it was thick and not done well at all. Overall would not recommend that dish, but the restaurant atmosphere itself wasn't bad at all. Also the dessert is phenomenal, but the dinner was sadly lacking.

I had the most amazing experience at brunch today!...

I had the most amazing experience at brunch today!! I hosted a party of 30 for a going away party and it was AWESOME!! The staff were SO attentive and totally spot on! I know the they were waiting us and other tables, but we would have never noticed!! They were always right there and catered to our EVERY NEED!!! I was so stressed hosting up until we got there. Once we arrived, EVERYTHING was taken care of! I never lifted a finger, it was magic! Also, the food was awesome and the ginormous list of bloody marys was to die for!! Even the management were a regular visit, just to make sure we were all taken care of. So impressed by the integrity of the staff and food. I really cannot say enough about this place to do it justice!! And I cannot say enough about the friendly staff!! They were all smiles the whole time and had fun with us, just awesome! Exactly what I wanted to send a dear friend off to her new adventure. Awesome, awesome, AWESOME!!!

Overpriced! Grilled salmon came out slimy and poached and the second piece looked like it had been deep fried. Both pieces were tiny and it was the "special". Overall save you money and time and go some place else.

Just moved to Madison and this is my favorite place! Amazing desserts, martinis and apps! Such a fun place and kid friendly too. The waitress was great and constantly helping us with our two kids.

My brother has given this place great reviews, so I decided to check it out with my husband and in-laws. The black bean burger was so good! I am a sucker for those, and it was nice to have a black bean burger made with beans and spices, not filler like rice! My husband got "The Bluephie", in which the turkey had a great smokey flavor and great bread. My sister in law got the salmon "BLT", which she was nervous about all the flavors clashing, but loved it so much, she will probably be using them to cater her wedding. Dessert was fantastic, the cookie dough egg rolls are very rich (too rich for me, but I am NOT a chocolate fan), but so good for all those choco-holics out there. I got the apple crisp, which had great flavor and was even better heated up later that night! I will definitely be back, especially at 8 bucks for a black bean burger + yummy soup!

Love this place! Highly recommend the Oooey Gooey Pasta, the Southwestern Crab Cake Salad, and for appetizers the Jalapeno Superbird and the smoked gouda mac & cheese balls are amazing!

This was an incredible end to a long day. While we had difficulty finding the location, not their fault, but ours, and missed our reservation - Amanda, the manager, stayed on the phone with us and directed us to Bluephies, upon which, we were given a free appetizer for loyalty for wanting to come there.

Our server (didn't catch her name) was attentive, friendly, and catered to our every need. The food was excellent and unique. Our appetizer, the bacon-wrapped chicken and goat cheese stuffed jalapenos were beautiful, followed by a perfect "fall" butternut squash soup with pumpkin brittle. The bluephie sandwich was average and the tatertots were unlike anything I have experienced before. My companion loved the spinach enchiladas and the black bean and goat cheese enchiladas. The wine list was tasteful and we thoroughly enjoyed the chocolate chip cookie dough eggrolls as a finish to our night.

I strongly recommend visiting this restaurant as I know I will return again in the future.

Bluephies has great breakfast food in a more upscale atmosphere than a diner. I particularly like their eggs benedict dishes. The downside is that they are not close enough downtown for me to go to much. I don't care for their food at the food cart, though.

Only good thing about this place is the atmosphere. And that's what you're paying for. I got the bluephie and thought it was absolutely disgusting. Save your money and go to McDonalds... I don't mind paying money for good food, but this is definitely not the place to go.

Had a Pee Wee chicken and noodles with crispy vegetables. Not impressed. Noodles were swimming in sauce, and barely any vegies. It's perfect for someone who likes noodles with their sauce only. Would not order it again. Not fit for the price. Hostess was not too pleasant either, for no apparent reason. Other staff was a little better, however, when we ordered unlimited bread and butter, took forever to get the second coming of the order, and had to finally ask a different waitress to bring it out. They only brought two orders of bread, not really unlimited. Waitress didn't even come back to check on us or apologize about forgetting to bring the bread...just seemed not to remember at all that we paid to order an unlimited item from their menu. We paid for our meal and stayed for a little while longer to chat, and no one came to check on us for our coffee refills, and even when they were flagged down and we asked for refills, they still forgot to return to bring it. Perhaps just a bad day to stop in there, however we will definitely not plan to return. They lost us as repeat customers.

No vegan options. They can cannibalize other dishes on the menu and make them vegan, but who wants a burrito with just rice and beans if it still costs $9 and all the good stuff is taken out? Who wants a salad if its just greens and balsamic and you still have to pay full price when there's no substitute for the cheese?
