I tried to make a couple of reports, but it seems that instead of protecting the rights of consumers they certify the privileges of companies. For example, it is normal for Trenitalia to charge 8 to travel 8km on a section of which it holds a monopoly. I don't think I will waste time in the future to make other reports.

About Autorità garante della concorrenza e del mercato

Autorità garante della concorrenza e del mercato, also known as the Italian Competition Authority (AGCM), is an independent regulatory body that ensures fair competition in the Italian market. The AGCM was established in 1990 and operates under the Ministry of Economic Development.

The AGCM's primary objective is to promote and protect competition in all sectors of the economy, including telecommunications, energy, transport, and financial services. It also aims to safeguard consumer rights by preventing anti-competitive practices such as price-fixing, abuse of dominant position, and collusion among competitors.

The AGCM has a wide range of powers to enforce competition law. It can investigate suspected violations of antitrust laws on its own initiative or following complaints from consumers or businesses. The authority can impose fines on companies found guilty of anti-competitive behavior or order them to change their business practices.

In addition to its enforcement role, the AGCM also plays an important role in promoting competition through advocacy and education. It provides guidance to businesses on how to comply with antitrust laws and conducts research into market trends and developments.

One notable area where the AGCM has been active is in regulating digital markets. In recent years it has investigated major tech companies such as Google and Apple for alleged anti-competitive behavior related to their app stores.

The AGCM's website serves as a valuable resource for businesses operating in Italy or looking to enter the Italian market. It provides information on antitrust regulations, guidelines for compliance with competition law, news updates on enforcement actions taken by the authority, and contact details for reporting suspected violations.

Overall, Autorità garante della concorrenza e del mercato plays a crucial role in ensuring fair competition in Italy's economy. Its work helps promote innovation and efficiency while protecting consumers from harmful business practices.
