Today is our third time coming here. The food is always great. Fresh tasting and not the norm. Love it! The waitstaff is excellent. And the atmosphere is a mixture of funky and grandma's house.

We were on an out of town visit and decided to stop at Bluegrass Kitchen for Easter brunch. What a disappointment! Floury and cold potato cakes, really undercooked bacon and hard potato skins. Our server (Joe?) asked me how the food was and I simply said mediocre. He seemed insulted and asked me why I ate half of it then. Overpriced. Bluegrass Kitchen tries too hard to be hipster and fails.

My family and I ate here while traveling from out-of-town. It was modern and homey -- a nice small town restaurant. They also have vegan options, and our waitress was very accommodating. She also gave great recommendations of places for us to visit while in town!

Double cut pork was wonderful. Asparagus good but slightly overdone, We were seated immediately at 7 PM on a Monday night. Service was prompt, good and not intrusive. Good food and a great experience.

Incredible lunch! The building is loaded with character. The food offered is very health oriented. We had the "Perfect Chicken" on a ciabatta and a fresh taco salad with mixed greens. We are so glad we stopped on our way back to Ohio.

Great selection of vegetarian options. Got the veggie sausage which was nothing special. Biscuit was a little over cooked for my liking. Gravy was good but the potato cake is where it's at.

Parking behind building next to thrift shop.

Brunch menu was varied but surprisingly expensive for the area.

Food was delicious, but nothing memorable.

Bluegrass Kitchen is our family s go-to Charleston restaurant. We love the seasonal menu and specials. Our daughter loves the vegan options. The atmosphere is quirky and warm. The food is delicious and there is often live local music.

Food was good but service was questionable. While GF options are listed as a possibility there were only a few. At first the server appeared attentive but despite being notified of a gluten allergy at the table she made no note of it on her pad and the food came with toast TOUCHING the meal. She offered to just remove the toast. Another server arrived and was more helpful at removing the contaminated food. The wait was also VERY long.

Great menu and table service. I travel full time and eat all my meals on the road. I don't have memorable meals every day, but I did here. Their menu is not the standard fare you find everywhere. Stop in and give them a try.

For my experience, unfortunately, the service was very unsatisfactory. I recommend that the servers come up with a better strategy for getting from table to table, despite a lack of customers anyway. The selection of food choices was also lacking, and was not very tasty, in my opinion. Better choices nearby.

Great selection, especially if you like vegetarian or vegan food. Homemade dressings are nice. Wish the live music could be seen/heard in the restaurant area, not only the bar. I eat there every 2 years when in town. Waitress delightful!

Fantastic beer selection! Didn't eat much food though, but we did have the fried green tomatoes... if you're a person from the country, you know how much of a staple these things are. I can tell you, beyond a shadow of a doubt, they execute these splendidly! The breading adhered to the tomatoes perfectly, they were not a bit oily, and had the perfect amount of crunch to them. The dipping sauce was not bad, but ultimately not needed. I very highly recommend these!
