I was from out of area, with limited experience of actually being a hospital patient. Not so, unfortunately, for me, this time. I was treated with kindness and courtesy. I was admitted to 3rd floor and the kind respectful, care continued. They are in transition between entities, but that took nothing from my care. Would have given a 4, but hospital visits are just slow, made so by insurance requirements, and HIPPA, I guess. Same here, while we waited for results as well as being behind some that really didn't need to go to ER. Think professional patient.

I ve always had great experiences here, yes it s busy sometimes but the couple times I have been the night staff have always been wonderful and attentive. The doctors always address my complaint and so far I always leave feeling better. I will always make Bluefield my first choice.

We checked in at 12:48 am. We left at 2:11.
Never seen anyone after in the room and we went straight to room. Only 5 cars in the parking lot. 3 when we left. This was on 1, 5 2020.

I had a 3rd degree burn. New to the area I gambled on this hospital. I was taken in very quickly looked at and before I knew it I was being cat scanned and in surgery. I spent a few days. The staff were all friendly and top notch. Thank you for putting up with me and saving my leg people. Great job.

My daughter in law went there because she was pregnant and experiencing bleeding. All they did was check for the babies heart beat, heard it, and sent her home. She went to Princeton the next day and it turned out there was a major problem! Thankfully they took care of her there. Bluefield staff just doesn t care and is lazy.

I had a good experience. Went to er. Had cat and x-rays. Everyone was super nice. Maybe it was because I was nice to them, not sure. There was a wait time afterwards but every hospital visit I have ever had involved waiting at some point. Thanks er team.

Beware! This hospital incorporate doctors from outside the area. When you come to the emergency room you're confronted by a doctor asking you to sign a paper so they can treat you. Don't do it. Ask for a resident doctor even though there aren't any on call in the emergency room. Reason: The Hospital will bill your insurance for Doctor, staff and equipment. Which most insurance will cover. But the sham is this, signing that paper allows a doctor that isn't a resident at that hospital to double bill your insurance for Doctor, staff and equipment. Even though that doctor has no staff there and is using the hospitals staff and equipment. Most insurance companies don't catch this and pay. That's what these sham artists are hoping for. My insurance paid 85.00 for the doctor through the hospital but then received a second bill from the doctor for his services that included staff and equipment. Charging anywhere between 800 and 1000 dollars extra that YOU are liable to pay. When trying to contact ANY of these doctors you can find the other hospitals phone numbers they work at but no office, no phone or any way to contact them or any staff they have. You're always referred to a number that leads you to billing. When I confronted the Hospital administrator he continuously tried to change the subject and claiming he would look into it. I also found out that specific doctor had seen over 10 people while there that night. Must be nice to make 10000 dollars in one night. I received final notices from the doctors I had seen there even though I never received a bill from them to begin with. Another ploy to get you to pay so it doesn't hit your credit report. AND the final notices actually state that. Stay away from this hospital at all costs.

I had a fantastic experience with my delivery/c-section. I was taken care of exceptionally well, as was my baby. I couldn t have asked for a better experience or had better treatment by doctors and staff. Pre-Op nurses were exceptional (and funny!) The food, however, was terrible.
