Everyone at Skies Equine services is amazing to work with, so friendly so accommodating and so kind to the horses! Dr.Steve Miller has been taking care of my high-performance horses and I couldn t be happier!! If he s ever been on able to get to me, Dr. Jess always makes sure she can show up. I highly recommend them!!

Dr. Steve Miller is a great vet. He will never overcharge. He will be there in emergencies. We have used him for 8-10 horses for several years and can't say enough good things about him and his practice.

I have used Dr. Steve and is the best vet I have ever used. Answers phone calls and text. Very good with my mare and answers all my questions.

Our horse, Otis, had been under Dr. Miller's care for a few years, under a prior owner. At the pre-purchase exam, less than a year ago, Dr. Miller advised us of a hoof issue which was probably treatable. We recently changed stables and veterinarians. Our new vet advised us that Otis's hoof issues had been covered up by shots and supplements. The problem is now much worse, and would probably have improved had the problem not been covered up. The supplements ordered on a daily basis probably caused stomach damage. As a result of the neglect and poor treatment by Dr. Miller, aided in his efforts by Carl Boger , a farrier, my horse might have to be euthanized. We are heartbroken and furious about this. DO NOT hire this veterinarian! To add insult to injury, we repeatedly asked their office to provide information so we could obtain equine insurance for Otis. We are uninsured due to the lack of response from this office.

Steve and Jessica are amazing. Wonderful with my horses. Always honest and upfront about cost. I am so lucky to have them.

Dr Miller is awesome. He is very down to earth and easy to talk to. He will allow you to ask a million questions and answer each one, and tailor his answers to the best health solutions without breaking your pocket. He will first have you do things at home such as diets and exercise before administering medications, which I love. And in the end it usually works. I highly recommend him and Blue Skies!!!

I recently found myself in the position of having to find a new equine veterinarian. I had a new patient appointment set up for my horse and donkey with Blue Skies, and my horse had an emergency before my appointment. I called Dr. Steve and he immediately assured me that they would take care of my horse, and had me call Dr. Kelsey who was on call. She was at our house in an hour and I was impressed with her kindness, her positive attitude and her competent treatment. She immediately responded to my texts later that afternoon when I had concerns about my horse's behavior. I met Dr. Steve in person today, had a million questions and he listened thoughtfully and answered them all. My horse and donkey were both extremely relaxed in his presence - so was I. He is knowledgeable and easy to talk to. My first experiences with this practice have been amazing and my only regret is not finding them sooner. I can't recommend them highly enough.

STILL EXTREMELY HAPPY... DR.Jessica is the best!!!! Very impressed. My phone call was amswered right way followed by a text. Followed by a visit the same day.(usually can not get anyone to come to me) My goats are already feeling better. Reasonably priced. Will defiantly use this vet everytime! Very happy customer.

Dr. Miller is THE most caring, understanding, genuine, personable, and just plain kind, Veterinarian I ve ever used...and I ve lived in 4 states with horses and vets in each one. If you need him, he s there. My mother recently passed away, which has, understandably yet still unfortunately, put a substantial financial strain on me and he has worked with me nonetheless. His prices are fair, his technician is fantastic, and he is extraordinarily knowledgeable. He is truly one of a kind, and I highly recommend him to all in search of a good equine vet. The folks at his office are all very kind as well, and I ve also heard very good things about his other vet, Dr. Jess. I am soooo glad I found him and his practice.

As every equestrian fears, yesterday morning we woke up to my 3 year old filly Sassy in extreme distress.
Colic.
It was bad and although we were thankful we apparently caught it early, the signs and symptoms were not good. Sassy was in bad shape.
We administered a proper dose of Banamine prior to Dr Miller's arrival. Unfortunately, we did not get the 'usual' quick reaction and response to the medication from Sassy. She was in a real dangerous condition.

Dr Miller arrived on scene in record time. We know he values our horses, and us. He is a true dedicated caregiver. We so appreciate that.
Life saving procedures began immediately as the good doctor worked diligently to save our beloved and beautiful girl.

Injections, IV's, gastric lavage and more were employed as Dr Miller simultaneously diagnosed and treated Sassy. Everything that possibly could or would help was delivered and applied.

Sassy began showing some positive signs, slowly. She was standing peacefully, with sedation, allowing me to comfort and reassure her as the IV fluids flowed.
As the sedation wore off she starting lifting her head higher and higher. Her mouth was no longer contorted. She was watching me, and I her, with a growing gleam in our eyes.

As Dr Steve climbed aboard his mobile office to depart, we all knew that Sassy was no where near being out of the woods. She had a lot of odds going against her, based on the vet's findings. But, with a firm handshake I felt comfort in knowing this man had done EVERYTHING he could to enable Sassy to run wild once again.

As the hours wore on, I remained at Sassy's side, on watch. Words of encouragement go a long way for humans and animals. I was remaining absolutely positive, in my mind and my words.
My vigil checklist was looking for movement. Sassy moving about and certainly bowel. I needed to see her start grazing in the round pen. And drink water.
One by one I was elated to witness these critical steps coming to fruition! And after each vital victory her demeanor and vitality was returning.

Today, one day after this horrible and potentially fatal event, I can happily announce Sassy has returned! This morning she was running in the pasture, kicking out and leaping for joy!

Yesterday was a really hard day for us as we had to say good bye to my 4 year olds pony, doctor Kelsey tried everything she could before making the though call, she stayed there the whole time with me tell my dear peaches how amazing she was she really made the last moments so calming for all of us and I can't thank her enough, you can really tell how much she really cares about the animals and people she visits.

Dr. Jessica is awesome. I call her with any problem and she is right here same day and my goats are feeling better and all fixed. She is reasonable priced 100. (She drives 45 min to come to me) Give or take a few bucks to drive to my home attend to the goats and leave me with a bunch of medicine. I will never call anyone else ever.

Dr. Jess is a great vet! What I really like about her is that she is punctual and has her own horses, so she understands older horses- that's a huge plus in my book. She is good at what she does and also does equine chiropractic. It's really nice to have a horse-owning vet who is also a great vet. I've been to the clinic to pick up meds, and it's also really nice with friendly staff. This is a very horse-centered vet practice with vets who own horses- What's not to love? I highly recommend Blue Skies.

Occasionally a person comes along who gives you outstanding service that you seldom seem to see these days.. Dr. Miller is this kind of guy. He has an amazing bedside manner . Upon arrival his first order of business was to put my wife and our mare, Red Star and her new baby at ease. He apprised himself of the situation and then went to work. We were facing a very serious problem with this new baby. She would not latch on and start nursing. He tried everything and stuck with it for 10 hours! Only then did he tell us that he had run out of options and recommended we take her to an emergency equine clinic.

All the while his amazing sense of humor really helped ease the tension. He is very obviously a very caring man who loves his job and animals. We can unreservedly recommend him to anyone who needs help with their animals.

Everyone is super sweet and helpful. Cutest office ever too. Highly recommend!
