What makes me sad is that this company has a great mission statement, established norms and appears to be transparent, however it turned out to be a front. I would never live at a blue ridge property, not because the properties aren't nice and kept up, but because they are terrible to their employees. I suggest that upper management support their property level employees more than they support their paid holidays off and excessive use of the word EPIC. BRC are not EPIC. BRC is a fraud.

I visited my family over the holidays at Halton Park and I really enjoyed my visit, the apartments are very beautiful. Now I am not happy with the parking situation for guest. My son lives in the very back and there only four parking spots near my son's apartment, so myself and my infant child had to park near the entrance the first night and walk all the way to the back due to no other "visitor" spots being available. So the following night I parked closer and my car was towed! This is ridiculous and unjust. There are so many visitors spots near the entrance but hardly any towards the back, this needs to change. I can't even visit as I unafraid that my car will be towed.

I want to advise of my dissatisfaction with the Co...

I want to advise of my dissatisfaction with the Country Park at Tall Oaks apartment management and staff. I recently moved in at the beginning of November. I was excited and assured that all of my questions had been answered correctly when I spoke with Marcie. This was not true and I was provided incorrect information to sign a lease. Upon moving in, I told Marcie that I would be having my sister and dog move in at the end of February once her lease was up. I advised Marcie before signing that from time to time I do watch my sisters dog for her while she is working. She advised to me that would be no issue.

Fast forward to the end of January, I received a notice indicating I was in violation of my lease agreement. (Of course I don't want to be in violation) so I called initially and spoke with Valen On Jan 30th. I explained to her that I watch the dog and she advised that shouldn't be an issue ( second time I told someone). She didn't see anything on record regarding a notice of violation, which is common with this apartment complex they do not leave notes on accounts to keep themselves updated and informed of what's going on. Because she had no record of this violation, she advised she would contact me. Well that never happened. I called several times in a 3 day span and no one returned my calls or voicemails. I was able to finally speak with Marcie again, who advised the same thing, no issue we can just add him at the end of Feb when your sister moves in. I'm thinking everything was fine. So I moved on. Well that was not the case. I received another call from now the property manager, Jennifer. She advised I would need to add the dog to the lease and pay the fee at the end of the month since that would be his official date of move. After frustration and confusion, I was very upset and did voice myself. I did what was told by Jennifer to add him to the lease and pay the fee at the dog of the month of he moves in.

Now that I'm trying to break my lease in utter frustration, I'm bring told I would need to pay 2 months rent ( which I am okay with) and a pet fee. I find this to be ridiculously and the manager did not care and went back on her word of what was advised to me on a verbal phone call.

In addition, my other concern is regarding the process of having visitors. I was also advised by Jennifer that I would need to add my significant other to my lease because he visits more than 2 times out of the week. I find this to be very ridiculous. However, once again falling into your trap I did what I was advised and had him to complete an application even though he had residents somewhere else. I was advised by Valen this past Saturday to complete the application and pay the app fee and everything would be fine. Well once again that was not the case. I was advised his credit had been ran and that he would need to pay over 1,000 for a deposit. My question is, I'm liable for the rent why is it that someone who technically does not live with me would be subject to pay a ridiculous amount. Had I known this before hand I would have never moved to these apartments.

All I'm asking for is a smooth move out, but everytime I turn around I'm getting hit with another amount and people telling me different things. I have never lived in an apartment complex that has given me hell.

I feel as though I'm bring discriminate against and singled out the most. Jennifer even advised that we have people such as maintenance entering my apartment without my consent or notice of entry and went through my stuff to make a determination of violation. I find this a violation of my personal safety and privacy. I had issues the day I moved in from the hot water not working and maintenance could not resolve the issue and had to take cold showers when we had the big snow storm and the weather was 35 or below. It took numerous times for them to resolve the issue.

I will be reporting you all if I cannot get this issue resolved and to the need media, BBB, the Rental Protection Agency and other local personnel.

Sincerely,

Dissatisfied resident.

It is amazing that you call to property management...

It is amazing that you call to property management but they never return calls back to people who leave messages with your property company .

I was very dissatisfied,
as I went out to seek a beautiful apartment such as some of the ones that you manage and I couldn't get a return call to ask a couple questions but for I decided to pay $150 app fee with one of your luxury apts.

It would've been nice to get a return call from the district manager in your area of high point.

I still am very upset because I did get approved everywhere else but it sure was funny..... the place I wanted to live never return my call except on the property management side that was managing the property ....

so voicemails must not be important to you or customer service.

I would, have been a, great resident and please note customer service is everything when you can do business all around you .

Don't take for granted

I have worked in the apartment industry for 20 years in several different positions. Just like anything you do it comes with its ups and downs. I have lived in many different apartments, in different states, with different companies. Blue Ridge, by far, has taught me so much that I thought I already knew! Knowledge is power. BRC puts that power at your finger tips. I love being a part of BRC family!

I currently live in one of the properties in Colum...

I currently live in one of the properties in Columbia SC and I am extremely dissatisfied! I ve lived here since 2017and initially things were great. It was quiet and even though I m on the ground floor it was still a great apartment. As of late, there have been new tenants above me that do nothing but play loud music at various times of the day or night, allow children not to just play but they run and throw themselves down on the floor, sometimes for hours on the weekend. There have been raised voices and arguing to be heard and when I ve brought this to the attention of office staff I m told that they will talk to the tenant. This has been going on since September 2018! I ve sent emails about this and other issues and I ve been to the office in person. I was told by one staff member I should just pray about it! Now that I have exercised my right to advocate for myself by requesting my lease be terminated, I m hearing things like, this is the first I ve heard of this, who did you speak to in the office, why haven t you called the courtesy officer? I have supplied my complaint emails to corporate, Blue Ridge and have had my concerns minimized to, this is apartment living! I was offered to move to another apartment for no fee but when I say I want to move altogether now there is a fee! This ordeal is starting to affect my physical and mental health due to interrupted or inability to sleep. I have submitted a 60 day notice and I just want to be free of this place without being penalized for their inability to ensure that all tenants have a safe, comfortable environment to live in. These apartments are not cheap and I
do not feel valued as a tenant!

I am apartment searching and I had interest in one of your properties - Woodlake Reserve - And I am very upset with the customer service I received today with your staff. They were defensive and rude towards me while going over rent quotes.... in addition to misquoting information said to me verbally over the phone and via email. I have never dealt with attitudes like I experienced today with past apartment searching. Both staff members went out if their way to make me feel stupid about the information I received. Unacceptable....

I have nothing but great things to say about Blue ...

I have nothing but great things to say about Blue Ridge Companies. I have worked for this company for over two years now while also calling one of the communities they manage "home". I originally chose to work for BRC because of their unique values that set them apart from the competition. They are constantly finding different ways to give back to the community. Whether it is a donation drive for disaster relief, or volunteering at the local food shelter, I have found a new passion in lending a helping hand by working for this company over the years. At our Holiday party each year, we fill up an eighteen-wheeler with donations for Toys for Tots while also celebrating our own accomplishments. Blue Ridge has offered me a variety of opportunities to grow since day one and I cannot be more thankful for everything that they have done. I look forward to spending many more EPIC years with this company!

From the 1st day I moved in it's been one thing after another the only office person that took pride in their job is no longer here and who knows who runs this place your guess is as good as mine. Maintenance is the 1 shining star other than that it's overpriced, and the vetting of residents is crime and vandalism can't walk to your car without someone soliciting their extracurricular activities . Not to mention lease renewals 2 months before lease is up and if the rate is less at that point you don't get that rate you get what you had to agree to 2 months before. Sickening practices.
