Blue Lake Casino & Hotel Review

Very sparce of customers. Played slots for 3 and half hours and didn't even get any teaser payouts. Went to the restaurant. There was 3 and a half of us. The bill came to to over $150.00 and that was with no drinks. ( other than ice tea and soda). The food was OK. Steaks. The service sucked. Grumpy and lack of... The motel rooms were clean. On the positive side. Nothing fancy. But sufficient. Would not go there again.

When you order a well done cheese burger and fries and they bring it to you dripping in blood and the fries are burnt, I'm never going back!!!

The service at the bar is absolutely horrible. The people that work the tables in the cocktail girls are really good though

Waitresses are older and not physically atttactive. Service was slow and didn't get all the items we ordered. Food was good and drinks were cheap

Pretty decent hotel to stay for a day or two.Big rooms,big bathroom. You can hear people walking from the above floors in your room. The casino is fine too. Not many people around during the weekdays.

I like this casino because it gives me the impression of a larger casino with the music venues and entertainment specials they have while still maintaining their small town vibe. Some of the best bands that have come to Humboldt County have played this venue; whether new or old. The restaurant has an excellent menu and an elegance not always readily available in this area. Their staff is very friendly and knowledgeable about their business and they seem to take pride in their jobs. The hotel itself is definitely a thumbs up as well. Their rooms are clean and spacious with the small added touches that ensure you're comfort and make you want to keep coming back again and again. I would most definitely recommend this space to any out of town friends or family because there's typically something for everyone.

Clean (really, I come here every 3 months and more than once gave seen them washing walls and doorways!); secure; professional caring staff; lovely decor; nice outdoor views; close to the ocean; close to Eureka and Arcata.
The beds are comfy with big nice pillows. The shower is large and the shower head luxuriously rainfally (I know, not a word.)
And, of course, gambling.
There are different grades if restaurants from the deli-free coffee- to the fancy-schmany one.
There are shows with a variety of themes and even some stars.

Easy off Hiway 299 access. Nice rooms. Close to local events! Great entertainment.

Non smoking areas aren't great, events aren't as good anymore, and new rules for drinks make it less inviting to go for leisure events.

Best casino in Humboldt for gambling. Not as good as it used to be. Less prizes and promotions. Forget about the food. Go somewhere else to eat. The Hotel is nice.

Nice staff, live music on Friday and Saturday nights, one of the best spots in Humboldt County.

The casino was great, did some gambling got a bite to eat and enjoyed the great music from the band playing in the bar. The dealers were very personable and the casino flowed very well. Will come back again.

Needed a place to stop and rest on our way home from Oregon. Not to many convenient places to stop when towing a 30ft trailer. Lits of parking, friendly and helpful staff. Food was great. Will be back.

We went there last night, Monday, for dinner, and was told there would a 25 minute wait for a table. Looked around and noticed that there were at least 9 empty tables and 1 name on the waiting list,
I can read and see! Needless to say we left and will not go back. I know your plan, we will go and gamble while we wait, WRONG. I left and went to your competitor where I had a fine meal and drinks, without waiting for a table. THEN I gambled and and enjoyed the rest of the evening. Thank You for sending me to Trinidad.

The room for karaoke is nice. The stage is intimidating at first but it's a very nice and welcoming environment so it balances out.

Excellent for cleanliness, however we reserved one king size bed, an instead we got two Queen bed room, pillows were not comfy. Other than the Jeff foxworthy show witch was awesome!! Our stay there was disappointing.

They allow RV parking, need to get a player's card and Patron their business. There's a dump station and fill up RVs. In the casino you win some you lose some, we enjoyed the casino and have fun. They have a non-smoking area and if that's not good enough you can go to the gas station because that's completely non-smoking and there slot machines in there. The people here were very friendly and helpful

The hotel staff at the front desk are kind of rude. They show no gratitude and are unwilling to accomidate you any further than the bare minimum. slot machines are okay table games are great. don't expect any comps or discounts on the hotel. they would rather send you driving away drunk at 3 in the morning than help you stay and play the next day.

Sarah at the front is so rude.. I was talking to another lady and Sarah just butted into our whole conversation and told me your not allowed to have pets. First off I was staying get in the rv park 2nd she is a service do so and I've stayed here several times with her and some of the staff no me so there is no issue. But after coming off a 8 hour drive that was not how I want to be greeted.

Not quite a "Vegas" style casino but not bad. I don't gamble. I noticed that they had plenty of room at the $10 blackjack table on a early Saturday evening. A LOT of slot machines. There is a bar with a fair selection of beers on tap that are inexpensive. Pretty smokey. There were portable, electric air cleaners but they didn't seem to be helping much. There are the usual scantily clad waitresses running around but they seemed less friendly than what you see at most casinos. They seemed more interested in talking to idle dealers than taking drink orders. Just an observation; didn't bother me.

We were there for a concert in the Sapphire room, which is really a big tent. It's a rectangle with soft sides that gradually curve over to become the roof. It was just a little bit cool in the room - not bad. I thought it would warm up when all the bodies got inside but it didn't really - It was mid-November and probably got down to 50 outside.

Sound was decent. They didn't crank up the sound too loudly. I'm not a sound engineer so I can't say anything more than I was fine with it. The band, on the other hand, stopped playing during one song because they detected a problem I think with some feedback from one of the microphones. Never seen that before. It only happened once. It was over in ten minutes. Everyone seemed fine with it.

No smoking in the room.
Seating was slightly better chairs than what you would find at a typical business conference. Conference chairs are too narrow. The Sapphire room chairs were a little wider and more comfortable although I can't say exactly why other than the width. There's room on the sides and center for people to dance and they block your view somewhat. There is a bar inside the room but only had two lame beers on tap. You can go out to the casino, though, to get a better selection and come back in.

All in all, it was fine. I'd go to another concert there.

Passing by I decided to drop in and have a look around. This visit was relatively early in the day so there was no performances. The gaming floor was made up of 2 larger rooms and a very small side room. The first room was video slots around a corral of gaming tables. The second room was all video slots and off to one side was the classic win this car podium. The third smaller room was no larger than a typical movie theater arcade and was dedicated to 'high roller' video slots. All in all I was untempted by the gaming. I considered a meal but the prices were suprisingly high for a casino. The promotional value at the time was a brunch for $15.95 , not a terrible price for a buffet but not the kind of value I'd expect from a casino. All in all I was unimpressed. I might go back for a performance, like if they had a comedian I recognize but I wouldn't bother stopping by for any other reason, even if I found myself outside again.

I had a really great stay here. Not much of a casino guy but I was traveling with a friend and I really enjoyed playing the slots, the restaurant had great food as well and very accommodating. Willow, one of the staff members, took very good care of us. Really great place thanks.

The hotel and casino are very clean and they take sanitation between customers very seriously. I have liked staying here in the past but the beds are way too soft and the cooks at the restaurant are inconsistent. The first day everything was grand, however, the 2nd and 3rd were lacking. No butter on the toast and watered down coffee. I'll be staying somewhere else next time.

Jace the casino manager is the worst in Humboldt. I'm a very avidd gambler and by far the worst comps. Way better before Jace. Watch out Humboldt from a local! Free rooms at bear River very easy. Blue lake u could lose $5,000 and still not get a free room. Not happy I did it but I would of hope to get a free room at least! Anyways very poor comps while other casinos in Humboldt hook u up phat with free rooms,food and free play. This place barley anything.

The staff was knowledgeable and courteous. The hotel seem to be well prepared to host a large event such as Ohana comic Con. The event room was spacious with table set-up for the different vendors. The audio and platform set up for the venue was perfect. The hotel provides decent public Wi-Fi for all guest.

A place to stay. Beds offer no support. Way soft. Typical nation casino. Nothing special. But it's is clean.
