I was a former employee at the Blue Hill Co-op and overall it is a wonderful place. Good organic foods and good colleagues, too. Although, the reason I had finished working at the Blue Hill Co-op is because my front end manager was very rude to me. I understand that when I started the job they informed me that they were very direct about orders but, to be blatantly rude and mean to your employees who are working for you is wrong. I think they should be trained on how to be nicer to people because if it wasn't for them, I would've kept the job.... other than that I find that the store is very nice and I reccomend people to go there!

Great selection, can eat your fresh hot bar selections in the cafe while choosing from a vast array of coffee and tea drinks. Also, various sandwiches available to order, but I have not yet tried them yet. Always a pleasant experience and a wonderful asset to the community!

Full disclosure, I was a Blue Hill Co-op employee for over 10 years and remain today a fully-vested owner... The Co-op is a great place to grab a bit to eat, meet up with friends, and shop for groceries. You can find local produce from farms only miles away. They have a great selection of cheeses from near and far. The cafe has a wide selection of hot and cold options, some made to order, others available in their grab and go. The bulk section is a dream. (Thanks to the Co-op, I will never buy over-priced, stale spices in a standard grocery store again.) I stock up when my favorite items are on sale, as this is the best way to value shop. Their prices reflect the fact that they are a small, local business, so don't expect big conglomerate/Walmart prices (but do expect small town, personalized service.) The new store is great! I can't wait to see how they grown into this new space.

We were so pleased to find this large food co-op/grocery store in the area. It is open to the public (no membership needed) and has an incredible selection of sometimes hard-to-find items for special diets (vegan, gluten free, etc). Produce is super fresh and they prioritize sourcing locally grown and organic options. Bulk section includes things like oats, baking flour, nuts, maple syrup, and quite a bit more. Lots of pantry staples, coffees, beer + wine, and basically anything you d need out of a grocery store. I was so pleased to find vegan cheese alternatives, as well as several vegan grab-and-go items near their deli. I haven t tried anything from the cafe area, but look forward to doing so soon! I appreciate their dedication to covid measures too.

I just moved to the Blue Hill area at the beginning of January. Very stoked on the fact that this quaint little town had a food co-op! I was a daily visitor to my local food co-op, back home in Buffalo, NY. Upon arrival to Blue Hill me and my big family of 7 knew we needed a membership because we d be frequenting the co-op often. Today, I stoped in to the co-op to pick up some items for dinner & epsom salts with my daughter. I quickly remember I needed more face lotion and local goodies to send back home for friends/family like handmade bar soaps etc. As I was in the aisle where all these things are located, I notice an employee come down the aisle and start pretending to face items while staring at me the entire time. She was shortly followed by an older managerial looking woman, who unprompted started saying excuse me, excuse me, miss!? Can I help you? I responded by stating that I was looking for something, this older woman continued to pester me until I stood my ground and told her no. My daughter and I felt very uncomfortable and offended. My partner shops in the store everyday and I told him how we were treated, as if we were filling our pockets with things. I don t know if this is common for this area but it was very unsettling.
Perhaps the coop should work on being more welcoming to unfamiliar faces, or I should dress up as a man and won t be bothered at all.

Were looking for someone near the Osgood trail for breakfast and stopped by here for breakfast sandwiches. They were delicious. Also a good selection of coffee. The store itself has a number of healthy/organic options and sells items in bulk to reduce on packaging. Was a very cute store and might stop here for breakfast again or picnic supplies before we leave.
