Blue Cross Blue Shield of Louisiana, Baton Rouge, LA Review

They changed our Dental provider to United Concordia in November and didn't give us notice. Here we are in January and it takes someone actually going to the Dentist to find out that we were never entered into the system in the first place!

Paying for dental insurance for 3 months and we actually couldn't even use it, not to mention the years upon years this company has paid insurance to BC/BS. Once this was revealed, it still took 10 days to get the coverage in place. Things happen but I'm very disappointed in this provider whom I once held in the highest regard.

Most unhelpful staff out of Cythie Mire Agency. Office staff reluctant to help you and then if Marquita wld help it misinfornation. I found it appalling I had tried to get coverage with her and she asked if I was depressed and health questions. After receiving my info that I had been depressed in my past. She calls my husband and said I wont probably be covered bc I've been depressed and had migraines in which that was the case. But I will never understand her logic in doing so Go Untited Healthcare! Awesome customer service and knowledgable staff

I have had a great experience to work with the wonderful,hardworing,and very professional Morgan Hughes of BCBS, LA. She is so passionate about getting things done and excelling at her detailed job in the claims dept. and she often states she" loves working with all of her team at BCBS LA!" It just confirmed to me that BCBS is the best and it"s very special to have them be based right here in Baton Rouge LA. Sy Salter

One star because zero isn't an option. This is the worst insurance company ever. Take your business elsewhere - don't waste your money!!

Their website never works. Can't pay bill, check coverage, find a doctor etc. It just never loads and that's across all devices/browsers. For how much money they rake in, it's pitiful how frequently the website is inoperable.

Good company - TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I hope you never have to deal with the rude pretentious workers at this location.

My son has had the same prescription for many years. Now, BCBS feels that thet have to get approval from the doctor (who my son visits every 3 months for checkups) before they fill the prescription that was faxed to the pharmacy 5 days ago. I called customer service 3 days ago regarding this issue and was told that they didn't receive it until 4 days ago and it will take up to 72 hours to approve. Now, 2 days since my phone call to customer service and I just spoke to someone who has told me that the doctor just sent the info. yesterday. If you feel need to lie, at least check your phone records to verify the info. By the way, they show they I called only yesterday instead of 2 days ago. My family does not visit doctors frequently and so I feel the need to change my plan in the upcoming year. Why pay this ridiculous premium to get the run around?

Excellent company who cares for the people of this state and it's employees! Working there, you look forward to going as you get exercise from your parking lot walk. Beautiful landscape to take in as you walk in. Exployees who care about you and a staff thay always do their most professional to make your visit as easy and great as possible!

Never in my life have I EVER 1) been denied medication 2) had such a hard time getting the RX they changed on me ( out of the blue) to actually be processed. And when I called " we outsource our prescriptions we cannot help you" Really? If I could change this crappy insurance I WOULD. Terrible people who I hope never have their breathing medication denied or a loved ones. Without this medication I can't breathe, but I guess your big paychecks really don't see that far down to the little people who pay your bills monthly. Disgusting.

Would give ZERO stars, if it was an option. "Chuck," who has been the only person who has answered the phone for me, working in individual plans, is the epitome of what kind of employee should not work with the public, let alone SELLING ANYTHING. When you can keep him on the phone for longer than 10 seconds, he is not helpful AT ALL in trying to find a plan suitable to your needs. The other times you get him on the phone, HE HANGS UP IN YOUR FACE! This happened 3 times today. The final time I called, I demanded to speak to someone else, yet he hung up immediately. I am no longer interested in obtaining health insurance through this company!

horrible customer service. they changed my plan-without telling me- and then will not send me a copy of my new id card! its april and ive been fighting with them since January 1! They wont give me my id # over the phone either! This is utterly ridiculous! They want their payment on time, but they won't do anything to help their "valued customer" this company is a total sham!

We use them for our insurance. We've never had any issues.
