Super fun, but don't plan all day here! There is an observation deck to watch the workers. My kids enjoyed seeing how all the production line worked. Then we had ice cream in the parlor area. The room holds a lot of people but the line moved fast and the wait wasn't long at all. Ice cream scoops are $1 each - take my advice!!! No one in my family could decide on 1 flavor to choose, so we each picked 2... 2 scoops is way too much ice cream lol I didn't think there was a things but I was wrong. It was delicious and a fun little trip!

There are flavors at this place you cannot get anywhere else. The people who work there will never get anohter job. They have one of the lowest turnover percentages. The people who work behind the ice cream countwr serving it are very nice. The tour is kind of short but it is an experience I would suggest. It is a sight to see when you witness the whole process if the ice cream made and packaged.

Cool experience, although I was highly dissapointed that after I drove all the way up there (about 2 hours) that they don't do tours anymore. They should really take it off there website considering I was told when I got up there that they had not done a tour in 4 years.also I would be nice consider we were at the factory to have more options for flavors to try at the icecream parlor, there was only like 12 options and I really would have expected them to have the new rasberry fudge brownie, and they did not.

I came here before the shut down so I was bummed when they reopened the factory, they limited what we can see from the observatory. But I did had fun going to the visitor center and re-read the history of Blue Bell. I still love enjoying a scoop of ice cream... maybe 2 more

Love Blue Bell ice cream and was looking forward to going on the tour when we were in Brenham for a wedding earlier this summer. I wish someone would have told us that they are closed on weekends. :(

We walked around the grounds and saw the statues they had in their main courtyard. I will be sure to come back on a weekday so I can do the tour and get those free samples.

SO FUN! Such a great place to take out-of-town visitors especially! A wonderful piece of Texas! The $1 scoops can't be beat, the fun museum, the guide at the observation deck with his wealth of knowledge - all of it!

Underwhelming. Not only was the visitors center closed, but the observation deck as well. On a summer s Saturday. The scooper s weren t particularly friendly or excited to scoop for a kid excited for fresh ice cream. Not worth the drive up from downtown Houston.

This place being the headquater of the Blue Bell worths the time to pay them a visit. There is no charge for it. One can read about the history of it and take a peak of how the make the ice cream the industrial way. $1.00 for half pint of the flavor they have in display. Employees are really polite and kind. Plenty of parking lot and handicap spots, even big shuttles can accomodate. Not open on weekends.

About Blue Bell Creameries

Blue Bell Creameries: The Best Ice Cream in the Country for Over 100 Years

Blue Bell Creameries is a family-owned and operated ice cream company that has been making the best ice cream in the country for over 100 years. Founded in Brenham, Texas, Blue Bell has become a household name across America, known for its delicious and creamy ice cream flavors.

The company was founded by E.F. Kruse in 1907 as a small dairy farm with just 10 cows. Kruse began making butter from his cows' milk and soon expanded into making ice cream. He named his new venture after the Texas bluebell wildflower that grew on his farm.

Over the years, Blue Bell has grown to become one of the largest privately-owned ice cream companies in America. Despite its growth, Blue Bell remains committed to using only high-quality ingredients and traditional production methods to create its delicious flavors.

One of Blue Bell's most popular flavors is Homemade Vanilla, which is made with pure vanilla extract from Madagascar and Mexico. Other classic flavors include Dutch Chocolate, Cookies 'n Cream, Mint Chocolate Chip, and Strawberry.

In addition to its classic flavors, Blue Bell also offers seasonal favorites like Peppermint Bark during the holidays and Mardi Gras King Cake during Carnival season.

But it's not just about ice cream at Blue Bell - they also offer a variety of frozen snacks like Fudge Bars, Fruit Bars, and Ice Cream Sandwiches. These treats are perfect for those who want something sweet but don't want a full scoop of ice cream.

What sets Blue Bell apart from other ice cream brands is their commitment to quality ingredients and traditional production methods. They use fresh milk from local farms within 200 miles of their production facilities to ensure that their products are always fresh.

Blue Bell also takes great care in how they produce their products - they use slow-churned methods that give their ice creams an extra creamy texture while minimizing air content. This means you get more actual product per scoop than you would with other brands!

Another thing that makes Blue Bell unique is their dedication to giving back to their community through various charitable initiatives such as supporting local schools through donations or sponsoring events like charity runs or food drives.

Overall, if you're looking for high-quality ice creams or frozen snacks made with care using only top-notch ingredients then look no further than Blue Bell Creameries! With over 100 years of experience under their belt plus an unwavering commitment towards excellence both inside & outside of work hours alike - there really isn't anything quite like this iconic American brand!
