I have been a member of Postal Federal (now known as Blucurrent) for over thirty years. The last several years I have witnessed a horrifying deterioration of their service and staffing. It's the old "do more with less" attitude that so many businesses and service agencies have adopted. I cannot depend on Blucurrent as my bank any longer. A few reasons: --they don't answer their phones --if they answer, the person's voicemail comes on --the queue for a service rep is a long, long wait --their voicemail greeting is extensively long, repititious and annoying --their website is frequently down --they have deposited funds into the incorrect account for me --they have removed after-hours depository features from their ATM machines --despite a change of address more than six weeks ago, they still mail statements to my old address I am saddened that such a fine organization has deteriorated so dramatically. Our family recently closed on a refinance for our house. Hannah helped us out from start to finish. Her expertise and professionalism made the process easy, even during COVID, as all of our interaction was done online. 10 out 10 we would refinance again with Hannah!
Never had a late fee until now, asked for it to be removed, they flat out refused even though they understood a tree fell on my house and was without power for 8 days. Ended up paying off the loan in full and closing my account. Will never do business with them again and will tell everyone I know about how careless they are, and for acting like a bank.
Please don't be scammed By this bank. Check reviews first. Kearney location is by far the worst. Staff are horrible, the vice president is no better. They will take advantage of minors and elders. Or anybody for that matter. There extremely racist! Change your bank
Why would you close the drive thru or not open it until 9:00am for a staff meeting?? People are trying to do banking business early in the morning before starting their own day.

Recently had a deposit go into an account of the wrong amount and they REFUSE to work with me! Disgusted I will be taking my business elsewhere immediately!
Horrible customer service when dealing with their mistakes . Cannot handle independent contractor payroll checks without putting a 2 business day hold.
I cannot say enough good things about this credit union! Deanna Downs is absolutely awesome! My husband and I got a line of credit and Deanna walked us through the entire process with such knowledge and was very kind. We got our line of credit around the holidays and it was such a smooth process I was amazed. Also Deanna went out of town for awhile towards the end of the process and Bill Morris took over until the closing. Bill did a great job of keeping us up to date on the progress. When we came in to close the paperwork Deanna met us and was so great. It was like talking to an old friend. She even gave my 1 year old son a stress ball to play with and keep that he loved. Bill came into the office to meet us as well which was so nice. It was really like we have banked there forever. Every single person met us with smiles. If you aren't sure about using this credit union...think again they are AWESOME!
Solid credit union, I've used it for five years now and never had any problems.
UPDATE: Though it was indicated they would be in touch, no one was in touch. Be wary. I'm an individual with over 800 credit score. Sometimes we let small accounts go dormant. Without warning of any sort, this bank closed our three accounts and will not offer our funds back. Given it was only $25, but the principal of the matter is that if they will do this, what else will they try to get away with. We won't return, and if you're a person or business with less than perfect credit, these guys will absolutely take advantage- FAIR WARNING.
BluCurrent has surpassed my every expectation! The staff are friendly, but recognize when a customer is in a rush. I have had a couple of issues which required me to contact the bank; In each instance the staff were professional and demonstrated both empathy and a sincere desire to solve the problem to my satisfaction. I have never received their equivalent in quality of service with any other institution I have conducted financial business with. I would, and have, highly recommend BluCurrent to anyone! Thanks to them for all they do for the community as well.
Lisa at the Kearney and Kansas location is awesome. She will take time with you and explain everything. You don't find that in big banks. God bless her.
Sunset location> The staff is very friendly, My biggest issue is that the drive thru has always been understaffed (during normal times before covid) and closing the lobby has only magnified this issue, I've waited for over ten minutes multiple times. There will be multiple lanes full and only one teller working. As big of a hassle as it is to switch banks I feel I have no choice. Sorry Blue Current I hope you get it figured out.
An antiquated bank slowly stumbling into the 21th century. I have been a member at the credit union since the late 80's and have watched every other bank pass them by. Only recently has BluCurrent launched a halfway usable website and a mediocre mobile app. It took them several years after it was required by law to get chips put into their credit and debit cards and they still do not support Android Pay and Apple Pay. If I used a bank for anything other than a place for my direct deposit to land I would be seriously looking for a better bank. If you are looking for a modern bank that embraces technology and modern ways of paying for things I'd strongly recommend looking elsewhere.
This place started out good but there a rip off charger you for thing's you have no say so in between them and Midwest cycle and they don't care wouldn't even listen to me (JOKE)
Just refinanced the house. BluCurrent is so customer friendly we have moved all our accounts. I have the app so I can do all my business from home including mobile deposits. We live 45 miles away so that improvement was nice. I recommend BluCurrent if you like efficent, friendly service.
I never thought I would have such positive things to say about a financial institution. Excellent customer service, at least at the Kearney & Kansas location, they bought out SkyZone for our small family (and a bunch of others) they often have great deals and promotions going on in the community and I earn 2.5% in my checking account. What else do you need to know? Will say: one thing that could use some tweaking is the mobile deposit app. It's a bit clunky, but not much worse than PNC's app and they're supposedly a large nation wide bank. Just bank here. BluCurrent is great. And they have great shwag! T-shirts and sunglasses and lunch boxes. Best banking experience I've ever had. Note: copied and pasted my Facebook review because I love these guys but I am too lazy to re-write it!
Money hungry Credit Union monopoly scam you want something that wont scam you Go to Chime bank they charge you nothing no overdraft fees etc.
I got approved for a Auto Loan through Blucurrent Credit Union. I was purchasing a 2010 Nissan Sentra. I guy who was working with me went up and beyond to get everything finalized. He even asked me what payment amount I was comfortable paying per month. He wanted to make sure it was in my budget andt here was gap insurance included in my car payment. I signed the documents and recieved the money the same day and the loan was at a good interest rate and the payments where very affordable for my budget. Very impressed.
They don't call you back when you have called them two times in a day. They don't take care of there business that they have with you. It takes them to long to get any response from them. Do not recommend them to anyone.
I made the switch from Commerce Bank to BluCurrent more than a year ago, and I am so glad I moved my money to a local financial institution. I have always had a positive experience with the transactions that I make. I usually frequent the drive up lane at the Seminole branch and the branch in Branson for the deposits that I need to make. The tellers are always kind and know what they are doing. Even if a mistake is made, they are quick to correct it so I can be on my way. BluCurrent's member service representatives have always been helpful if I have called and needed help with something, usually related to my account online. While I do wish they had a more mobile-friendly version of online banking, I make use of all the features of my online banking and LOVE that with the particular checking account that I have, that all of these features are free! My favorite thing is that with the new checking accounts, mine actually earns a nice chunk of interest and I get my ATM fees back. If you're in the market for a new financial institution, I can highly recommend BluCurrent!
We just refinanced our home with Blu Current. Hannah went above and beyond for us. At the closing table she was quick to answer and jump into help with the questions we had to ensure everything closed smoothly. We also financed a vehicle recently with them. Our application process was a breeze online and we were approved same day. Signing was all electronic and the process was the easiest we've experienced.

Great small bank, you can keep your money local, but if you have an 8-5 job you'll never find time to go to to the bank. They keep the same hours, don't have any later drivethru hours, and I can never seem to catch them open even on Saturdays.
I have been with this company for almost a yr. when Covid hit I lost my job and haven t ever had an issue making my payment on time for my car loan. I am a single mother with three children and have always been in contact with them in regards to my situation. I was 2 months behind and asked if they could assist me for just a little bit longer if I made one payment. They handed me my money back and said they could not and I needed to turn the car over to them. When I called I was told that I was speaking to the manager who informed me that I would have to pay repo charges and other fees associated they did not care to listen to anything and were completely unwilling to help me at all. I can t believe that they would not let me make a payment to try and get caught up completely disregarding my situation. They do not care about their customers at all. I m very upset that I went through this cu for my loan.
Personal service and actually have enough staff to help you. Lines move quickly. Don't have to stand in line for 10- 15 min as in the big banks. Very nice experience!!!!
Worst bank ever. I got paid and they locked my cards while I was at work out of state. They wouldnt even unlock them or allow me to withdraw from atm. Choose ANY other bank.
We've had NOTHING but good experiences up until today. They do not have an ATM. I found out the hard way, in a hurry. My experience with Blucurent has been 5 star until this. It is completely unacceptable for a financial institution to not offer an ATM to their customers. Sure, they have a list of ATMs you can use with other banks but I don't have time to hunt one down. I'll probably be looking for another bank. Telecom CU has ATMs....
I usually have a good experience while going through the Drive Thru but not this time.When I arrived on a Saturday about 15 minutes until 1pm, 2 lines were opened and I waited until about 1pm until I got helped. There was only 1 lady present while I see a few employes walking back n forth. (I also tried calling before i arrived at the bank and there was no answer)I got greeted but the lady wasnt very nice. I told her i wanted to do a money order, she got my money order, didnt give me a recipt for it and didnt tell me have a good day or anything! I would honestly think that with the drive through closing AT 1PM,there would be more help with a long long past the bank building. I dont look forward to going back through the drive through.Also this bank need its own ATM for convince.

I used to love this bank. But as of the last 6 moths not so much. It took them moths and me going up there and calling for them to change my ssn which was wrong. It took them 3 weeks to change my address and again with me calling and going up there. And my cared has been expired since the first. And I have not yet revived my new one which I had to call abt after going up there so after I called on the 8th they issued me a new one after they said they already had. So if I dnt get it soon then I'm done. It's one thing after the other. And when I called to make sure that this time my cared was on its way the person who answered the phone was acting like I did know what I was talking abt. Till he looked it up. So hoping to get my cared and not have to worrie about finding a new bank.

The lobby was closed for COVID. Understandable. Called to set an appointment. Called 3 separate times and no one answered. Let their phone ring over a 10 minute period and no one answered. I went to close my accounts because this is what Blu Current CU is. Poor customer service. I have been a customer since 1999. I will no longer accept the poor service they offer.

We had an excellent experience with our mortgage from application to closing. We always got a prompt and helpful reply from Hannah McCaig any time we had a question. The customer service we received was exemplary!
Terrible service in line we were next nobody behind us lady walked out put a cone in front of us and motioned to move to next line with 4 already in line wow been promising for 2 years to replace old location closed time to move accounts
After doing some research on local CU's and what they had to offer, we decided to open our new accounts at BluCurrent. Throughout the entire process all of the staff was friendly, informative, pleasant and efficient. I was placed in a private room with a large computer screen, and the whole thing went down "Star Trek style" with a very nice associate on the screen. It was all done in just under ten minutes. After finalizing everything at the counter with even more friendly, informative, pleasantness, the entire walk in to walk out was over in twenty minutes. While they do have some time constraints on when the accounts go fully active, I feel as they do, that this is important to building a solid and trusting relationship. If you're looking to try a CU, and don't qualify for one reason or another for some of the other ones (and even if you do), visit BC.
I've banked here for several years. The way that they apply overdraft fees is extremely unethical and unfair. I was charged 6 overdraft fees in the course of 1 week---all the outside charges that tried to come through were declined, but I was still charged a fee for every single one. My account was not overdrafted until 3 of the overdraft fees went through and put me into the negative. If the very first fee hadn't been unfairly taken out of my account all of the further charges would have been covered. I sent an email through Blucurrents website asking to discuss this with someone and never got a response. Sadly, this isn't the first time this has happened, and this is also not the first time that Blucurrent has completely ignored my attempts to get answers. This scammy way of leveraging fees and poor treatment of a long time customer speaks to the culture of this business and I personally will never be back.
I recently finished refinancing my mortgage with BluCurrent. The whole process has been great. Hanna was able to answer all of my questions and kept the process moving. She kept me up to date on what the status was and was quick to respond to my emails.

I have been a member for 15 years. The Branson Coop at Educational CU is awful rude to deal with. There is an obvious difference they make treating Blu Current customers. My husband and daughter have already moved their banking because of the obvious difference they make.

I've been banking with Blu Current for quite a few years now since they switched over from PFCCU, they had some difficulties at first it seemed switching over, but I still wouldn't bank anywhere else, ESPECIALLY one of the Big banks. Customer service is top notch, and they have EXCELLENT loan rates and checking perks.
The staff at this credit union is unbeatable. They have taken the time to get to know us over the years, and are always helpful and friendly. Policies are straightforward. My family enjoys the family events held every year. Great place to do business!

Nothing bad to say here. Been a customer for 6 years. Loan process was easy, opening accounts was simple. Easy communication via online banking. Typically always had a response/resolution within 24 hrs. Nice prosper benefits on checking. Closing accounts (moved out of area to another state) was painless.
I love this bank! Can anyone tell me if I can deposit cash into another ATM for free?this is my only issue with the bank. getting money into the bank after hours.
I've been at Blucurrent for around 7-8 years now. They are by far the best bank/CU around. ALWAYS friendly, courteous, and helpful. I had accounts at 2 other local banks until yesterday. I finally consolidated everything to Blucurrent. They took a chance on me years ago with pretty low credit. They gave me a loan when NO ONE else would, except the predatory loan companies. In return I've faithfully paid every payment on time over the years. I've had at least 6 loans through them by now, and each time they give me a lower interest rate than I anticipated. They have treated me extremely well, and they have helped me and advised me to raise my credit. I'm now up over 110 points since I became a customer there. Highly recommend Blucurrent credit union! They absolutely go above and beyond.
They don t have any ATM s!!!! They used to have one located outside the bank but now since they removed it and have ZERO BluCurrent ATMS throughout the city it sort of leaves you screwed!
Setting up the account was easy. Then taking my money easy.. Sold vehicle and been trying to get everything switched over since the 9th... and no luck. Multiple phone calls and emails and no one has any idea what is happening... all lobbies closed so can't go in. Leave a message they don't call you back half the time you call phone rings and rings with no answer. Update. They commented saying some one would call. Suprise suprise no call.

People are rude and won't do anything to help. Very disreputable and devious. Would never suggest anyone to do business at Blu Current especially when it comes to loans. Should have closed it earlier than i did.
Have had a great experience with them with the exception of a miscommunication error resulting in a man in the collector department named John G who was incredibly rude. Never experienced a professional that rude before and was very taken aback. Manager at Sunset location took care of the issue and was very refreshing how polite and helpful she was.
The staff have been very helpful and answer questions readily.
I love the people at BluCurrent and the services are excellent. My only issue has been with the closing of the Seminole branch and the difficulty in finding participating ATMs so I don't have to pay a fee for withdrawals.
