BluCore Shooting Center Reviews

BluCore Shooting Center offers a decent shooting range. Upstairs you ll find a gun shop, which is mainly dedicated to AR platforms & shooting equipment. Downstairs you ll find the BluCore shooting range which offers shooting lanes for both pistols and rifles. The ranges are moderately priced and their staff is extremely professional and helpful. The range could use some updating... lighting should be improved. The walls and ceilings of the range are scarred from thousands of rounds which lends a feeling that previous enthusiasts have not operated in a safe manner. Safety is always a primary concern when going to a shooting range.

This place will rape you on cost. I shoot quite regularly in my hometown and have never paid these ridiculous prices. I will never go back!!!!

Great place to shoot. The ventilation system allows me to shoot for an hour and not coming home wreaking of gun powder and hacking up a lung. The staff here actively engages customers and they don't make you feel like you are wasting their time trying to buy and or learn more about guns. Ended up going 3 days in a row and buying a membership at the end of the third day.

10 months later and I still love these guys. Always willing to help out and do what needs to be done to make sure you're taken care of.

I DO NOT recommend BluCore. Because they are the only range in the area that has an indoor 100 yard range, I have (regretfully) used their facility a handful of times and I will likely have to every time I get a new optic mounted until another 100 yard facility comes along. I will never go to BluCore unless I absolutely have to as there are a number of things about the business I find, for lack of a better word, repulsive. The biggest issue in my experience is their staff. Simply put, they put lipstick on a pig. Their staff seems to be convinced they are all operator af. This is an attitude that can be found in most gun stores but its simply overwhelming at BlueCore. The business has marketed their employees as navy seals when in reality their policy is to hire prior military or competition shooters. This does little to set them apart from other locations as most employees at gun stores throughout Colorado are prior military or competition shooters. In short, I have yet to visit their location without overhearing their employees give such bad advice it makes my ears hurt. If you need to zero an optic and dont want to drive too far I share your frustration of having to use their business. If you are looking for a range shorter than 100 yards, youre probably better off going pretty much anywhere else.

This place is cool. Great place to go shooting indoors. Reservations are easy and you get in quick. Don t buy there ammo.. it s remanned and waaay over priced for it being remanned. I guess you pay for the bullets and the extra is for the labor. Goofy people. There gun selection is weak but they have black rifle coffee just Incase you don t feel like ordering online. But good people.

I went there on a GroupOn gift card I got for Christmas. Despite growing up with them, guns still frighten me and I don't like being around people shooting them that I don't know. But having a gun and not remembering how to use it is also not a good thing, so I asked an gun enthusiast friend to go along and went to what was my first firing range. It was a pretty pleasant experience overall. The AR-15 bangs in an adjacent stall were pretty disconcerting and I thought I might slip on all the shell casings on floor, but otherwise no complaints. That was in the summer of 2014.

I got a handgun shortly afterward and tried the Shoot Indoors range in Broomfield last week to learn to load and shoot it. BluCore was very good, but I liked Shoot Indoors better. It had no gun shop but the traffic was easier to manage for the same distance, there was no time limit on shooting for the day. I enjoyed being able to take a relaxing break for lunch and return without paying again. And the facilities -- hand washing, waiting room, etc -- were better. The range officer was watchful but unobtrusive.

But I'd happily go to the BluCore range again as well.

I went to the range with an acquaintance and there was a billing problem on my credit card. The management was understanding, professional and a pleasure to deal with. If I lived in the area, I would be enjoy returning there on a regular basis.

Not the friendliest staff. Decided to give them another chance after a mediocre first experience but felt equally dissatisfied the second time. Great selection of stuff, just not the best sales team.

Great place and good prices. Clean, well ventilated and friendly.

I've been shooting for many years and I've found Lakewood's Bluecore Shooting Center to be the cleanest and the most well maintained facility yet! The extremely friendly and knowledgeable staff exceeded all my expections when buying my shotgun. In addition, the Bluecore team offers a huge range of classes for both men and women to train you on your new weapon. By the way the classes are taught by guys that have "real life experience". It doesn't get any better than that (just in case you didn't know)! Finally, I found James (one of the owners) to be a hands on and extremely friendly and willing to go the extra mile for all his customers. If you're going to spend your time and money with a weapon (female or male) this is the only place to do it! Semper Fi!

Took my wife shooting there for her 1st time. Very safe and controlled environment. Good selection of firearms.
Would and have recommend to anyone looking to learn to shoot, try ou a new piece or just go and shoot a few rounds. Helpful staff and well maintained

Came in for a few things and needed some questions answered. The staff was extremely professional and knowledgeable. I have had experiences at gun shops with staff being unresponsive and condescending and this was certainly NOT the case here. I have not used the shooting range but look forward to doing so.

I've been shooting here and taking classes for a year. I've also purchased a firearm from them. This is a great range and gun shop that has (for the most part) good people working here. I think that any rough edges are due to the success of the place and amount of business they are getting.

Are their ammo prices on the high side? Yup, just like pretty much everyone else. They've told me (and I don't see any reason why they'd lie to me) that their own costs for ammunition and similar components (primers) have gone up quite a bit and that has caused their prices to increase as of late.

I also have to chuckle at the review in which someone said that they turn everyone away claiming that their ammunition has steel in it. I've shot thousands of rounds here, of a variety of calibers as well as shotgun shells. They've never reported that my ammo had steel in it.

If you shoot regularly here, consider becoming a member. You get free range time as well as the ability to do reservations. You also get some decent discounts on training and other goodies.

Highly recommend Blu Core. It's the best range in the Denver area.

The gun rentals are a great way to try out gun models before buying. When you rent guns you can trade them in and try out different models very nice way to try out different guns in the same session.

The range is OK well lit well ventilated. In the shop prices are a little high.

I absolutely love this place. I really enjoy that the range is in the basement which makes it much cooler and more comfortable on those hot days. The staff is usually very friendly and eager to help. However, all around a really great place!

This range is very expensive for ammo and range fees. The rifle range is not ventilated very well as I almost gagged on the fumes. The pistol range was much better. Range rules seem to be stricter then other ranges I have been to. I put a AK (in a zipped rifle bag) that I was testing out behind the counter (my mistake) while I was in the pistol range and they opened it to write down the serial number. As a violation of privacy, expensive prices, toxic fumes and I'm not sure if they did anything else to the gun, I won't be coming back here.

This place came highly recommended by a friend. There inventory is very low and the gun I was offered in place of the one I was hoping to buy, was the wrong gun for me and I feel they should have known that. I later found out that the gun was not new and had not been cleaned. I paid way too much for that type of gun there then I would have at other gun stores. I guess I was a little old lady that was easy to take advantage of.

Self entitled staff that makes you feel as though you are inferior to them because they have a gun in their hip, horrible staff!

Le, Jordan and, mark are great people and excellent gun range operators! Superb care and knowledge! Overall a great place!!

When I went in to pick up my order, Mark was EXTREMELY rude. He said I was acting suspicious because I was shifting my weight around. I told him I had a recent knee injury all the while he kept starring me in a VERY weird way asking if I was intoxicated. Mark, you are paranoid. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

Make sure you know what you are getting into if you get a membership because they won't let you cancel if you join or at least won't respond to cancellation emails.

This place is awesome. My first time coming here was from a groupon and I only have positive things to say. I recently took a handgun evaluation course and everyone who worked with us was so informative and helpful. Not to mention there's not a single bad looking employee. I received my CW permit from a different range but would encourage my friends to enroll here.

Jon and Warren are nice and really helpful. Staff is knowledgeable about all things firearms. Would recommend checking out their facilities and training programs.

BluCore is the best range I ever been to. Upstairs has a large variety of guns ammo and other things cheap prices. All the staff is really cool too.

Clean, nice range. Pricey though considering you can just go to BLM land and shoot for free.

My biggest problem is that I feel they do not care about the gun community or about 2nd amendment rights. They do not allow open carry in the store although local, state, and federal law allows it. I was asked to case my gun or to leave. They allowed me to conceal after arguing (I have my permit). I think that any shop in the business or with the means to support our gun rights should not pick and choose what rights you can have at their location. They feel good enough about firearms to sell them, but not comfortable for you to carry one in their store. I guess they feel that everyone using their Constitutional rights is a possible criminal and a danger to the staff and other gun owners shooting there. Seriously?

We had a team building day here and all but one of us were rookies. The instructors were great and thorough with everything we needed to know prior to handling a gun. Once we were in the range, the fun began! There were three different handguns we got to experience and after a few rounds we each found our favorite and became much more comfortable handling them. We definitely would recommend BluCore.

Closed on Mondays due to COVID. Called to check hours but there was no answer, not even an answering machine.

I didn't try the range, was hoping to try the next time I went in but with the horrible customer service, i won't be back! My friend came in with me because he wanted to purchase a new pistol and was financially ready but they not one gave us any due contact, he tried asking a couple questions but we both quickly felt like they were just bothered by us being there! Drove from aurora just to feel extremely disappointed, I'll stay in aurora next time and I'll keep going to firing line where at least even the employees like to be there!

They advertise monthly membership deals but don't mention it's credit card only and I also caught them marking up a glock magazine to $39.99 when the glock msrp is only $29.99. I'd recommend you stay away from this shady place.
