Blu Moon Photography has touched my heart. My son has special needs and really doesn't enjoy taking pictures. Well he made a milestone and graduated from high school and of course you have to have graduation photos and they took my son and made him feel and look like a superstar. They made my son with special needs truly feel special.
Loved the photographer. She did get some good shots. Ordering is expensive.
Good variety of poses. Good quality pics. Only negative is there print picture packages and digital pics are a bit pricey.
I am very upset with the studio. The description of the packages is misleading. I chose the "popular one" with senior picture, cap and gown and 2 change of clothes. I paid $65 + $10 for ultimate session. Which is described in the website as : "Ultimate is by far our most popular session! This session includes the yearbook portrait, the cap and gown, and TWO of your favorite outfits. Personal outfit portraits can be taken either inside or outside. This session lasts about 90 minutes and yields between 35 to 40 images.
**There is an additional $10 yearbook fee for The Woodlands, College Park and Oak Ridge High Schools. This fee is IN ADDITION TO the $65 session fee and must be paid in person at the time of your session. "
When I went today to see the pictures they gave me a Complete Senior Price Booklet .No where in the description says: pictures at an adicional cost. What does say is "35 to 40 images".
I am not happy with the experience. I left the studio very disappointed. I knew I had to chose the ones that I liked the most from those 35-40 pictures. I was not expecting to take home all the images. In addition to this, it is overpriced. I left the studio empty handed because I did not have this in my budget. The information is misleading. I am not a satisfied customer.

If you re looking for senior photos to be taken, please do yourself a favor and avoid BluMoon. They are required for the headshot for some of the high schools around the area. We spent $300 on photos that were supposed to be done at the beginning of October. I have called and emailed and still no response. The customer service is not great and the prices are high for what you get. We paid $300 which may sound like we got a few photos but we got 4 or 5 sheets. They can t manage to print 4 sheets in 10+ weeks. Not a good experience!

I had a great experience with Blue Moon Photography! The place is friendly and excellent for the high quality photos that are taken. I had so much fun with Maria who takes amazing photos and has great pose ideas!
Good photos and great photographer, however senior pictures sessions completely misleading. We paid I think around $50 for a session that included one outfit, grad pics, and senior yearbook pics. On the form it says around 25-30 photos. No where on the form does it say you'll have to pay an additional cost to receive photos, but we stilll concluded that we'd most likely have to buy digital copies on a disc and that they'd offer other options as well (portraits, coffee table books). But to our suprise, the packages were completely insane prices. For example the largest package included 10 different "poses" in multiple different sizes and everything but for 1500. It was crazy and you didn't even get digital copies for 1500. We couldn't believe it. We ended up paying $390 for 6 digital images. Would NEVER go back in my life.
Prices are absolutely insane for what we've gotten. We weren't given a chance to review the photos taken - I'm not the most photogenic person, and all of the yearbook options show just how uncomfortable I was - and the person that was taking the photos was putting me in some of the most god-awful positions, so these look more like "Bad Luck Brian" memes than senior photos. Ordering just a single photo costs $65, and buying a package leaves you with too many photos, most of which are sizes you don't want, and only one that you actually needed. And be warned! Only after you begin to order a package does it tell you that there's only one pose allowed per set, meaning you're not even able to get some variety in the photos that you didn't even want to buy. We've also been waiting since the very beginning of Summer to get the cap & gown photos, but months later, it's only the yearbook shots. Speaking of cap and gown photos, they only had caps that wouldn't fit a toddler. The photographer wouldn't let this stop him, however, and spent three minutes trying to cram the thing onto my head, even having a coworker come help. I really do appreciate the neck pain that I was left with for the next three days. Needless to say, it didn't work and they ended up just setting it on top of my head. I ended up asking if I could take it off, and the photographer tried to tell me that it was against whatever plan we had purchased. Call me entitled if you want, but for the insane prices you all charge, the subject should be able to choose whether or not he wants to have a blue piece of cardboard sitting on top of his head. CISD requires photos to be done through here, or the yearbook won't have your photo in it, so we really had no choice in the matter, and we are seriously disappointed in what we received.

From a business standpoint Blu Moon Photography is truly an outstanding establishment. The staff was very professional and friendly and truly have a keen eye for the business at hand. From a personal standpoint I really enjoyed the options that were offered during my consultation and the prices were affordable.
We loved our experience at Blu Moon Photography. My daughter got her Senior pictures taken there yesterday. Dorian was our photographer. He was friendly and professional. He had a great eye for which backgrounds complimented my daughter s various outfits. He spent a bunch of time with us and he did not rush our session. We had a fun time with him.

The website is awful - instructions for ordering pictures is two pages long and still not accurate. There is no way to order on line as the information is incomplete. Pictures very ordinary.

Took my daughter in for her senior yearbook portrait; they take cash or checks only. Of the 8 pictures taken only 2 were even worth considering...the rest were awful! Bad posing, bad angles, too much background on one side of the picture, not enough on the other side and everyone can see all the proofs taken for everyone in their senior class. Not surprisingly, there were worse proofs than my daughters! Thank goodness we're going elsewhere for the rest of her senior portraits.
Love the environment; really peaceful and quiet to take pictures; the girls were so helpful and nice trying to find out the perfect picture.
We had family pictures taken, which included 5, 3 and a 5 month old. Photo session was so easy and the photographer and assistant were very helpful in getting our 3 kids to focus and smile for the camera. Pictures are beautiful!

I have dealt with several studios, and this one, by far, is the best. Shelby, the owner, had a great staff, and their customer service is beyond great. She worked with my schedule and budget, and everyone made my photo shoot so comfortable and laid back! The quality of the pictures are the best pictures I've ever taken! And the prints are even better! I highly recommend Blu Moon for senior portraits, engagement pictures, and your entire wedding shoot!
Great service and professional staff. Prices are steep and took a bit longer for photos than expected but they were great photos!
Customer service is a nightmare. Required by high school to use them for photos. Left multiple messages, they return calls when they are closed so when you call them right back you are dealing with a closed message. They really should consider a full-time receptionist to help handle calls and scheduling if they are going to partner with schools for photos.

This is not the place you want for pictures. I am so glad that this is not my child s senior year. She took her yearbook photo and we ordered a package from the website last semester and I have yet to receive anything back. I paid in full. I have emailed, I have called and nothing. No response, nothing delivered. I guarantee I will never use them again an especially not for my child s senior year graduation pictures. I will find another photography studio. Service at Blu Moon is terrible.

Did a full senior pic session expecting something g decent and was bowled over! Got too many good pics to afford with outdoor, indoor casual realistic shots. Easy to work with and very efficient. I put a rush on some pictures I needed for gifts and they got them to me 5 days early than expected! Super organization with true talent to capture the essence of the subject.

Pictures are great, but customer service is really bad.
Do not recommend. This is the only place the schools use so they have a monopoly. They charge $11 to mail pictures so you have to drive all the way to Magnolia for collection. On top of all this, it's in someone's house. Not professional at all, considering they must be making money from students and their families. I'm guessing Curtis Null or someone from Conroe ISD has a family member or friend that is the owner.

They did senior pictures for Oak Ridge High School and apparently the pictures are made out of gold because they are sky high. 6 poses for $500 bucks is ridiculous. The school should hire affordable picture people so all parents can get a picture of there kid. For some people this small package could mean a weeks wage. Hope you go broke trying to take advantage of people. We will have ours done elsewhere.
