Great food plenty on the plate and a variety of foods to try.

Have eaten here many times and the food is excellent and I cannot praise the staff highly enough . Highly recommended

Buffet- sandwiches were nice but the rest of it was from Iceland I'm sure

On holiday for a week but already dined here three times, each meal was five star, the Landlord couldn't be more helpful and the other staff were very friendly. Try it and see for yourself. ,

Just had a takeaway Carvery from this pub. I've eaten in at the Black Bull at least 10 times, Never a roast dinner but it's always been very good. The takeaway was no different. The pork roast dinner I had was hot, good size, well priced and delicious. Will definitely use again now I know they offer this service.

Great little pub loads of character and very welcoming

Staff are not that engaging, bad table service. No menu items after 2pm unless roast is still going (Sunday). Value for money for quantity, quality 3 out of 5.

Seeing as we are moving into the village we went to view our new house & came here for a meal afterwards. I have to say I was very impressed, 11 of us booked a table & the service from the staff was just brilliant, the food was very tasty & the prices are amazing.. Not had a drink at the bar yet but everyone in there were in good spirits & it looks as though it will become our local boozer & hope to take part in events & quizzes etc after we move.. We have now moved to Kirton and this is still an outstanding boozer with brilliant great value meals.. 10/10 from us

Was waiting for our food for more than 1hr and 30min. Ended up leaving! Expecially having a child with us. Not coming back!

The meals they provide are all home cooked first class I would recommend anyone to go and try really worth a visit

This is a regular haunt of ours since we discovered it last year.
Sunday carvery cannot be topped anywhere else for good food, friendly staff and value for money.
I've never had a piece of beef that hasn't melted on the tongue.
Only advice I'd give is to book in advance. Even us regulars get turned away sometimes!

Spent New Year's Eve here. Great atmosphere, friendly people and good music.

Website says food served all day. But they don t! Stop at 2pm.

Decent beer selection that changes regularly. Good pub grub, not gastropub, but tasty nonetheless. There's a dedicated eating area in the Lounge or toy could choose the Bar area to mingle or play some pool. They have regular live bands with a cross section of genres.

Food was excellent. Very friendly and welcoming staff. Bit of a wait for the food but worth the wait.

Needs some money spending it looks and feels aged. Food however is highly recommended. Watch out for marquee / outside BBQ and music events.

Loved this little family like pub. Food up to scratch, drinks cheap, atmosphere wonderful. Felt like home. Regiment if you need a quick stop to eat and relax with a drink.

A lick of Gray paint has not brought it up market!
