Server was great. Food and drinks were good but don't allow you to have a cocktail while you wait for your table or group. Had to leave and spend our money elsewhere

The food and Cocktails we're exceptional, the beef brisket was the best I've ever had, healthy serving and amazing flavor. Grand Rapids offers an amazing selection of quality food and Cocktails, this was the best of all the meals I've had in GR.

Only had dessert and wine but it was enjoyable. The creme brulee was good but I have had better. Wine selection was excellent. I will be back!

Food was excellent. Be sure to leave room for the Tiramisu. Josh was an excellent server. We were celebrating my wife's birthday and she can't stop talking about it.

From the appetizer to main course to dessert this was a great meal. Our server Dennis was phenomenal! This was our first visit and he walked us through what were the most popular choices for all the items on the menu. The food was exceptional from start to finish. Great atmosphere and a fine dining experience!

I have dined here several times. The food is A+ with a downtown location and accessibility near the Arena. A must try!

I REALLY loved Bistro Bella Vita! I am a hard sell because I myself am a good cook with a picky palette for flavor. I had a Scallop dish that was to die for! The seasonings and side dishes blended nicely and scallops were done to perfection! Growing up on the east coast and spending time on the Gulf in Mississippi, I am VERY particular with my seafood taste and textures. The ambiance was wonderful! I am not a fan of booth tables but I was very comfortable in theirs. The lighting was just right - not to dim, not too bright. And my biggest expectation that they met without fault is never letting my water glass go empty. I would highly recommend this place to anyone I wouldn't want to disappoint!

Exceptional service and delicious food. The only reason we didnt give 5 stars is that it is too early to serve heirloom tomatoes. Josh and his team were attentive and well trained.

Went to Bistro for my wife's birthday and will definitely go back. Very attentive service. Food was great. If you're feeling adventurous get the frog leg appetizer, they're fantastic. My wife loved the salmon, I had the saffron rissoto. The shrimp might have been slightly overcooked, but that's me searching for a critique. Carrot cake dessert was complimentary for the birthday. If you're on the fence about checking this place out, or just looking for somewhere to go for a special occasion, I would suggest trying Bistro Bella vita.

Went here for the first time for my friend s 30th birthday. Amazing. I love the atmosphere, our server Aliyah was one of the best servers I ve ever had, and all our food came out right away & was delicious.

The food and service were excellent for our table of six, but beware of ordering a glass of chardonnay! Apparently they only have one label available by the glass and it is $16 a glass! We won't be going back.

Had the duck ravioli and it was phenomenal! My girlfriend had the pesto pasta and that was great as well. Finished it off with the pour over coffee and dessert for two, and they prepare it at your table for you!

All in all a very positive experience. Wait staff was knowledgeable and courteous, and the food came quickly and was delicious. Give it a shout!

Fabulous steaks!!! Excellent service. A little bit too crowded and noisy to be considered a romantic place but overall, I am very satisfied with this dinner.

Great food, nice staff, over booked themselves for the night so there was a longer wait for our reservation but was able to wait at the bar. Attentive to your wants and needs but not pushy.

One of my favorite restaurants downtown Grand Rapids! Their bruschetta is the best in town and they have some delicious cocktails to go with it. The staff is always friendly and helpful too!

Great place to go. Had a work christmas party here and the staff is very personable and friendly. Food was delicious, may be the best salmon I've had in GR so far. Would definitely recommend coming here if your are looking for a great dinner option.

Had another great experience at Bistro this weekend. In addition to the ever-exceptional service and dining, they also went out of their way to make sure our anniversary experience was a memorable one. It's become our go-to spot in Grand Rapids for celebrations.

Worth a visit

Food was delicious. Service was fantastic . We will definitely come back. The only reason I'm not giving five stars is because our salads were wilted (we were there for an event and the salads were probably just made a little too early). My filet was ordered and cooked medium rare, however the some parts were a little dry.

The food here is very good. An eclectic mixture of modernized Italian inspired dishes done to near palet satisfying perfection. The service is kindly provided but slow. At current half service capacity the balance between the front and back of house seems incongruent with the kitchen being the bottleneck. Worth the wait.

Good but overpriced and lacking warmth. Interior feels like a food court. Maybe because they reduced the density due to Covid.

Always a staple of upscale dining in Grand Rapids. Calamari appetizer is delicious! I had the Pork with Dijon sauce - yum! Ask for extra Dijon sauce if able. Pair with a classic cocktail (Negroni pictured) for a very classy meal.

It's a nice place where you can eat italian dishes and drink italian wines. However the real italian dishes are another story.

The slow downward spiral into oblivion continues for BBV. Food cost control appears to have erased any sense of culinary pride that once resided here. The latest victim appears to be the menu staple Paella. The recipe has fallen victim to the food cost axe. Whole shrimp has disappeared in favor of mysterious "rock shrimp". Once tender, moist chunks of chicken are now dried scraps of overcooked sliced filets. Asparagus spears are gone, replaced by a few lonely florets of broccoli. Not exactly a Spanish staple. Sorry, but this dish is barley even a shadow of its former self and isn't worth a special trip any more. Very sad.

my wife and I just celebrated our anniversary at Bistro Bella Vita. we had a wonderful evening, the staff was excellent, the food was very good. we had calamari for an appetizer the red sauce was a little salty. I had the seafood spaghetti was excellent nice and spicy, my wife had the seafood risotto which was very good - Rich. we ended the celebration with Tiramisu and pour over coffee. a wonderful evening will definitely go back.

This might be my favorite restaurant in Grand Rapids. The food is always fantastic, the cocktails are delicious and the service is great.

This place is so booshie! But the perfect amount of booshie. The booshie that's worth it because their steak cuts like butter, their creme brulee is perfection, and their waiters are hot. I mean their wine is great. 10/10 would pretend I make enough money to go here again.

First of all I would like to say that my service was amazing, cocktails were delicious, and so are the desserts. I tried both the chocolate mousse dessert and the butterscotch dessert, and both of them were delicious. I had the chicken entree, and while the flavors were definitely there- particular emphasis on the gravy which is really delicious- my chicken was a little dry and my root vegetables weren't cooked thoroughly.

Our food was incredible. I mean, really really incredible. The next day I could not stop talking about how delish my dinner was (Beef Brisket Bourguignon - so tender and amazing glaze). Cocktails were perfect (gimlets) and the wine was also a great pairing for all of our dishes. Atmosphere felt so good!

Love the service and the food here! The specials of the day were a hit at our table (although by 6pm they were out of one already).

Love this restaurant. I love the modern decor. Originally, it was off putting like being in a chain type restaurant. All those doubts disappeared when I tasted the food. The carbonara was made correctly with egg yolks. Yahoo, perfection. Even the wine kid ( sorry he looks like he's 16) has more knowledge than the wine bars in the area. Dinner was an excellent experience
