I wrote a paragraph of how absolutely embarrassing it is for you guys to have a "psychiatrist" here in the same room as sick walk-in patients, a shoppers drug mart, and xray lab patients but I lost it. So I'll keep it short and sweet.
I wont comment on Dr.Lawal here, but I will say that the environment here is not the place for someone who FINALLY has courage to see someone about their mental health. You guys should be embarrassed. Would never return here and I'm not even picky.
PS Your washroom is really gross.

First time here and already a terrible experience. They kept saying we were next just to keep us here and we waited for over an hour and a half. Transparency is the best policy. Terrible place. Would not recommend!
I had an appointment booked for today, so my husband had to leave the job earlier, he works one hour from Winnipeg, I take 30 minutes to go there, also I have a baby.
When I got there the receptionist told me the doctor had to leave in the morning and she forgot to call me.
I didn t received any sorry and she was very rude with me. It s really unprofessional and disrespectful with my family and I. I m feeling deep disappointed.
Awesome place to go to for a walk-in. Short waiting times and friendly and knowledgeable doctors. I ve been here a few times and they ve always been great. I don t like being over-prescribed medications and they re very good about encouraging home remedies and then returning if nothing improves. Definitely my new place to go to for basic walk-in needs!
Awesome doctor terrible staff! Dr. Barnes is a pretty rad dude who s very kind and easy to open up to. However the staff delayed my surgery because they didn t send in important documents to my surgeon. ALSO when I went to go get my IUD the people at the front desk LAUGHED AT ME after reading my notes on the online scheduler!!! Lastly I m going to be changing doctors because I don t have a doctor who s consistently there to help me while dr.Barnes is gone for the 6 months.
I had to cancel a physical due to a friend needing me for support at his Grandma's funeral and Dr.Lu wouldn't waive the fee. I did not receive a reminder email about said appointment either so I had to call back to make sure I had the appointment, but only to cancel it for the funeral.
Staff and Dr. Daniel are personable. Don t know what people are complaining about. I called before they were closing on a Friday because I didn t want to go the weekend if I needed antibiotics... I explained my son was just seen by them this week and he may have given his sickness to me. The girl on the phone was sweet and managed to squeeze me in. Made me feel like I mattered. Unlike some places. I m happy with the service there. I am considering switching my medical Doctor now. I never write reviews. So that s saying a lot.
Ada at reception was very accommodating and helpful and went the extra mile for me by filling out my water bottle when she saw I had to buy more than 2 bottles of water. A simple gesture goes a long way and speaks well for the staff, the rest of whom are equally friendly and accommodating including Dr. Downey and Terra at Xray. I am definitely visiting this place even if it means coming from quite far.
This clinic is not bad, a bit better than the other one at superstore on Bison drive. If you can help it come here early, or else you could wait a long time even if there is only two people here.
My last 2 appointments I've booked have been cancelled without notification. Thank you for wasting my time when I could have been working. I will be putting in a complaint with winnipeg health authority and requesting a new family doctor. The receptionist also tried to make it sound like it was my fault that I didnt know my appointment was cancelled and didn't even offer to reschedule.
Generally all friendly and good staffs. The reason I rated one star is because of Desmint, the only male staff in front desk. I went to clinic several times. First time for my wife's exam. I don't understand why he was so mean and taught me I should knock my wife's room's door before I come in. My wife was the only person in that room and she's waiting for me. The second time I went there for my son's up front exam. Desmint was exactly the same way talking to me and my wife. And most importantly, he made my son's name and body weight wrong. I noticed this when I got home so I made a phone call. He said he can fix it and I have to meet him and pick it up again in person. Back to that week I have to ask my shifts off if I have to see him. So I asked him nicely to let him leave the fixed docue to him coworkers and then I could pick up after work. He agreed, surprisingly when I showed up none of his coworkers received his note. Then I showed up the day after. It turns out he didn't fix the document at all. Some other staff helped me fix the typos and print it out for me. And, that's not the end of the story. He supposed and promised me to contact CIC to correct or replace the exam document. Obviously, he didn't. I waited three months and received I notice letter from CIC that I should let my son redo the exam... This was frustrated. I went to clinic again and talked to the manager, forgive me I can't remember her name, a professional and decent lady. With her help they resented the fixed upfront exam document to CIC. And two days later my son received his permit. End. Hope this frustration happened on me never happened again on anyone else.
Doctor Barnes was assigned to my son as his new doctor. My son needed surgery but had to get a physical examination signed by doctor Barnes and then faxed to the surgeons office. The secretaries there said they faxed it but the surgeons office said they didn t. I had to send my husband down to the office to watch their secretary actually fax the medical forms. You can bet that if my husband wasn t there the forms would not have been sent out
Shortly after my son started seeing this doctor he was no longer available. My son was told he is out of the country for six months. I call BS!
Also the secretaries at this site are rude and talk about their clients in front of other people - zero professionalism
Don t waste your time and go somewhere else
Today my son was told to find a doctor by some other doctor that was filling in for doctor Barnes
I will be making some more phone calls to file a complaint about this doctor - pathetic to even call him a doctor
receptionist was very nice, wait wasn't super long, doctor was VERY nice and easy to talk to. being sick is hard but it's made that much easier by a comfortable clinic experience WHICH I HAD. very pleased, will definitely try to make this my clinic of choice. plus it was open on saturday !!
Worst service. Reached at 8.35am and met doctor at 10.20am. I m wondering there were 2 people ahead me. What will happen if there is waiting of 10 or more people???
I m living just over the street 1699 Pembina hwy. It s normal for staff that patient is in problem but they could say to go to home take rest and come after 2 hours.
Worst worst worst worst worst experience of my life.
I would like to die rather than go to this clinic in future.
The secretaries there are bad for giving out incorrect information. Seems disorganized. They called me one morning, I missed it, called back and they could not figure out why they had called. Turns out when I got there the doctor was no longer available and my appointment was cancelled. Do I get $45 now for you cancelling within 24 hours?
I would like to give zero rating if I would have an option. They wasted my time. I was there for immigration medical checkup. Earlier at the time of an appointment they told me that it gonna take half an hour to get all things done. When I reach there It took me forever. Another thing is that they don't have Laboratory on-site. We have to visit another place to get our blood test done. I went to the lab suggested by Doctor and It also took me another hour. Doctor is good but the staff is worse.
receptionist is rude. Called for answers and I received nothing but attitude. I thought I was the only one with the similar experience but turns out not. If you can't handle taking calls or have basic manners, please go find another job.
I want to book an appointment for immigration medical check and no one answers the phone. I called the reception and she just transfers the call but no one answers and she doesn't know what is going on. Very poor service. I am unable to book an appointment.
Awesome walk-in clinic. I went here for the first time recently. Everything is very modern and clean, and the reception staff are welcoming. You can check the estimated wait times online before you go in, which is great. Dr. Downey was one of the friendliest and most patient walk-in doctors I've ever seen.
The only problem is that it was hard to find a parking spot, so I'd recommend walking or biking if you live in the area.
I'm continually impressed with this clinic. Not only is Dr Barnes the coolest and the most genuinely interested doc I've ever had, the walk in staff are great. Dr Chan was quick, and he was thorough. It seems to me they have some excellent young doctors. I feel privileged to be under their care
If you dont want to get your day ruined, don't go to this clinic. The only good thing about it is that they open at 8 am and there is not always a long line up. One of the receptionists is rude and has an attitude, she seemed to only say hi back to older people. Doctor Kiran Bra would interrupt you before you could even get a chance to explain the problem and acted condescending toward you.
About 3 hours in and I literally just need a requisition for an X-ray. I decided to ask at the desk if I had been forgotten as every single person around me that arrived after has now gone in. To my surprise apparently I was never put in the system. Horrible! Do better! This is your job!!! Learn it!
The worst experience that i had ever in canada i went there and submit my all documents and they told me my waiting time is 45 minutes then i told the receptionist lady i will come again after 40 minutes later because i don't want to wait and when i left from the place i got a call saying that i am next and they can get me in . I was driving back home its just 3 minutes for driving to my home . I went back and they let me wait for more than 45 minutes .
New medical facility in South Winnipeg. Very friendly staff, doctor we saw was very personable. We did not have to wait long, though appointments are highly recommended.
Friendly staff at front desk. Our family doctor(Dr. Daniel Barnes) is really kind, friendly and personable . I would recommend the medical center and the doctor Barnes for anyone!
I wish if I can give zero star for them. The male receptionist was in sleeping mode. We went to pick up the medical report 2 days after we requested them. Horrible front desk service ever with the guy!! no awareness of why he is sitting in the desk!! 0% responsibilities...
Here is a new medical family medicine and walk-in clinic on Pembina Highway which has recently opened. It is very clean, tastefully decorated and well equipped with young and helpful .
Not very happy at all. I was in excruciating pain and the doctor basically just told me I had a cold and to drink some nitrocitran. I was hospitalized the next day with mono. Very unprofessional.
Unfriendly clinic management charging $5 for credit transaction,if you ask for any medical note other then sick they charged $20, 1 hour to 2 hour wait time for walk in some time.
Needed an x-ray so I tried this new clinic. Friendly staff. Quick and really efficient. I'll definitely go back for other services. Glad it's close by!
I am rating this clinic a 5 because of Dr. Sue Deonarain. I have never had such a positive experience with a Dr. as I have had with her. She has a very caring attitude towards her patients and listens to all of my concerns. Whenever I see her, she is familiar with my patient history and I feel confident in the recommendations & professional advice she provides. Thank you, Dr. Sue!
