Horrendous school. My daughter studies there and the teachers are abysmal. The chemistry and biology teachers have no basic knowledge of simple concepts and jut leave the pupils to learn things by themselves. Your kids will have a good time truanting and being anti social around the area but the roosters come home during exam time. Have a look at the grades that pupils from this school get and you will know how bad the school is. Terrible school. Just avoid it if you have a choice.

I would also like to add that I have counted relatively nice teachers and there are 3 in the entire school. Some teachers are sexist (biased more towards girls) and we get detentions unfairly and there are multiple teachers who are definitely on a register, mainly the maths teachers but also some other teachers. Half the school aren t allowed to eat lunch for a certain period of time every day and there are lunch people who are just there and get paid for asking kids would you do this at home yes I would eat my food at home you 5 foot melon

I had to move my child from this school a year ago - the best decision we ever made.

This school is not outstanding - it s last Ofsted report was 2006, so it s utterly irrelevant.

My child suffered from awful bullying- the school knew and did little. There is zero pastoral care - probably due to low staff numbers.

The teaching staff constantly changed, and my child was left with approx 15% of their lessons as cover lessons . This usually meant an unqualified teacher getting the children to do unplanned class work in an IT room. Not good in the lead up to GCSE options.

This school spends its cash on flash buildings, rather than increasing teaching staff.

The behaviour of pupils is often awful.

Having moved my child, I have seen how a school should be run - budget restrictions don t need to be an excuse.

Left there in 1979.

An average experience, nice to see it's still around.
