Honda Dealership: I did not buy from them in 2016 because they tried to hide fees in a redundant tire insurance scheme that was covered under Honda directly.

Service:. Fantastic, never had an issue and they gave me little pushback on any warranty claims I've made. Prompt service and a courtesy shuttle round it out.

My wife and me bought a Dodge Journey 2009 there and as new comer -by 2015- we felt we were cheated. Firstly, they included a breakdown insurance in the deal $3,000 that was approximately 25% of car's final price, without solicitation and lacking a clear explanation. Secondly, after our test drive, we noted a noise on closed turnings. We requested to fix that issue before closing the deal. They did some kind of make up on it because the noise was eliminated but after three months the noise started again so we call them to report the problem and they never returned our calls. After visiting a Dodge shop we were told that the part responsible on the noise never has been changed. After one year with this car, we faced a mayor repair ($2,500) not related with the noise mentioned. Very disappointed!

Great people,...they try REALLY hard to make up for some some shoddy (on occasion) workmanship in the service dept. I've been there several times and without fail there has been a SERVICE issue each time..loose panel, car won't start...always something... will I go back 100% YES.. Every dealership has issues.... the upside of Birchwood Toyota is they bend over backwards to make it right the second time ... now they would get a solid 5 stars if they could only get it right the first time.

I had my assessment done there and I was never called because they did not use the wrong phone number when I gave them the right one ... It's a huge company with no custom service, I will do the repairs elsewhere.

I have been dealing with the Birchwood Auto Group for awhile now and have to say they make it easy. The service is professional and above board. I love how they keep you in the loop and there are no surprises. You can tell when you are waiting there for service, how much they work together as a team.

This is the second used truck I went to buy here. The sales consultant I had was really efficient and very friendly. His name was Matthew Russo. His boss Karl Decksheimer came to shake my hand and said he remembered selling me my previous used truck (he did an amazing job back then too)! I am glad to see he is still with the team and has moved up to Sales Manager. I would also like to say Chris Kaufmann (Financial Services Manager) did an amazing job getting me underway in my "new" used vehicle!! Keep up the amazing work Birchwood

This is a Honda dealership. Had our civic in for some upgrades and oil change. Service center agents are excellent. Very friendly and courteous. I like that they keep a record of the service done on the car. You can call in and ask what was last done to the car.

Dropped in to Birchwood to check out their used inventory. We were looking to update my 2011 Equinox to something with AWD. Salesman Karl Decksheimer showed us what they had in stock. He showed us a 2014 Nissan Rogue. We took it for a test drive and were very impressed with it. Long story short....before we left the dealership we had made a deal. We were very impressed with Karl. He was very personable yet very professional. Only had the Rogue a week but so far we are very pleased with it.

TERRIBLE experience at Hyundai McPhillips. I was excited to buy a new car last week through Birchwood. That is, up until I had the unfortunate experience of dealing with the sales and management team. False advertisement, along with unprofessional and unfair business practices, caused me to walk away from the sale with literally cash in hand. I will no longer be purchasing my vehicle, or any future vehicle, through Birchwood. SO glad I walked away from the sale.

Our experience with Mr. Kreg Hennessy was awesome! He was very professional and a friendly guy. My husband and I just thought Kreg was down to earth, made ya feel comfortable without judgement. I recommend anyone looking for a vehicle to visit Kreg! We will definitely deal with Birchwood again!
Thank you Kreg!

Dealt with Stu Nugent at Mini and got exactly what we wanted in a car. He was easy to get ahold of and was attentive to what my wife and I needed. Not a huge selection but we found exactly what we needed. Definitely check this dealer out!

Brought a vehicle for safety, mechanic highlighted brakes and tie rod that were in great shape. Also required backing plates for front brakes that were never an option for the model of car. They also failed the day time running lights that come on when you go into gear (they never tested or realized it). Other items were questionable and only a couple of items were actually required. All this in a make up safety for the person that stole a safety pad in August 2018 without then noticing in April of 2019 when the vehicle I had bought was fake safetied. This ordeal and experience was terrible and expensive (for no reason) and Birchwood Reconditioning Centre either tries to take advantage of a situation or employ incompetent technicians. Don t go here.

Bad service...took my car In Friday dec. 20 to get some work done. Left it there over the weekend came back Monday to pick it up and the technician left my lights on for 3 days so now the battery is completely dead. Never goin back to this particular location.

I am not impressed with the quality of inspection that they did with my vehicle. Honda west said my brake failed when i still have 8mm brake pads pretty much brand new brakes and new rotors all around. With less than 8,000km of use! Secondly i brought my vechile countless times for the same issue. Thinking that my problem would be fix after the 10th time been at that location and as of march 21st my car still freaking leaking. Very disappointed and i will contact Honda Canada and who ever i need because at this point not worth my time after been at your location so many times clearly something not done right and i bearly have time to come so often for the same issue. Sorry but enough is enough

Was a bit earlier for my service appt so the rep was still with previous customer. A co-worker assisted and checked me in early. Bit of confusion over the shuttle but I was not in a rush. Those people that had to get back to work were a bit more eager to get going. I'd recommend the dealership for service!

I brought my chevy cruz for a couple of recalls plus an oil change, service was incredible. Ken treated me with respect. There was some extra work that needed to be done, I was called, given the price and again treated with respect. As a woman that means a lot.
I will definitely be returning for other work that needs to be done on my cruz.

Thank you!!

What started as a straight-forward vehicle purchas...

What started as a straight-forward vehicle purchase took a turn for the worse when I discovered there were some secrets kept from me about my car.
When I went to purchase the vehicle it had been shined up and looked nice, I noticed there was a chip in the paint on the rear driver side door. I was promised it would be professionally touched up. Only to be ignored and required me to call constantly to get anything done, it got to the point where it was easier to touch up myself, so I did.
After a few weeks of ownership and comparing it to other Civics I noticed that the bumper was not sitting evenly and the fender panel was out a bit. I had asked that it be fixed under warranty as well as some other minor issues I was having. After dropping it off for the requested service and getting the car back with none of the work I had requested, completed. With an excuse of "we couldn't replicate the issues" after I had shown my service adviser that morning all the issues. I took it to Crown Honda instead. They fixed all my issues without me needing to show them the issues because they understood my explanation. I was excited to see all the requested work I had dropped it off for was complete or the parts were ordered to fix all the issues I had with my vehicle.
I was happy enough but then I was contacted by the new owner of my trade it, they informed me how much they paid and I was upset to hear that after being told they were going to sell my trade in at auction for virtually the same price they were giving me for. They had marked it up $5000-$6000 sold it themselves and left me with the remainder of the bill (at a high interest rate) to pay off so they could take the extra money for my trade in. Then recently while cleaning my car in our shop, our painter (one of the few AIA/i-Car Platinum certified painters in WInnipeg) pointed out to me my hood had Tiger Striping on it, and it had been painted by hand since Factory. Which I found odd as I had no claims on it and it was sold to me as a "Brand New Car" I had written about my experience on the Dealer's facebook page and Google Page (Birchwood Honda West) my review was replied to saying a Manager would be in touch right away... No One Called. I had to go down myself and when I got there, no one wanted to help me. When I did get help I was shown some Excel Speadsheet (that was not locked and anyone could have edited knowing I was not happy about my purchase)
They showed me there was no rail/shipping damage to my car, but the hood was defiantly repainted before I got it. They did not mention it was possible it was damaged after they received the vehicle and while storing it waiting for a buyer. I received no help on this matter or even a service coupon or apology for coming out of my way to discuss the issue, I was seen as an issue or troublesome person and I felt rushed out the door so as not to chase away potential buyers even though I was quiet and respectful.
I felt deceived and unwanted.
Now that I have already bought the car I feel that no one at Birchwood really cares about me anymore. I never get service calls or e-mails or promotional e-mails even though I signed up for them.
Not a great way to get a loyal customer...
Long Story Short, I can't reccomend buying a car at Birchwood.
The Chipmans may be really nice people but unfortunately that doesn't seem to translate to good honest service at their dealerships...

It makes me sad to see they are still selling damaged vehicles at full price. My photos are of a recent example, with this car being a bit more clearly damaged then mine was...

If you want a good experience for Sales and Service of new vehicles, go to a Crown Auto-group Dealership.
They actually care about their clients after the sale of the vehicle or in my case, someone who needed some Warranty Work Done.
