Food isn't that great
I've been there a few times. The atmosphere is nice. Staff is pleasant. Drinks are unbelievably expensive. There are better places by the water to dine

Great food and LINE DANCING. My wife loves this place. Outdoor bar. Always crowded on the weekends.

Awesome selection of food and drinks with above par staff. I've been coming here since college and I am never dissappointed. Great deals for happy hour, nice music, lovely views, and the managers are very polite and accomodating.

Great BBQ, I shared the BBQ for 2 plate with 3 other people and it was just enough food for us. Everything was tender, juicy, and flavorful. The sweet potato mash with walnuts is amazing, btw. Just know that on nice days, the deck will have a long wait (because the view of the Hudson is gorgeous!) But you shouldn't have to wait long for a seat inside.

Fantastic food, amazing service, never had a complaint. The staff is always smiling. Couldn't ask for more.

Absolutely awesome establishment and perfect variety of meat. They luckily had a vegetarian item on the menu for one of my familt members, which was perfect. It was also my birthday and even though no one said anything to the staff, they took it upon themselves to give me a nice gooey cake and icecream to top it off! Surprise indeed. Well done.

It was our anniversary and everyone was very accommodating! Good was delicious and clean! Staff and patrons wore masks and made us feel safe.

I went there for lunch on October 12, 2019. We ordered, calamari, pulled pork sandwich, and 2 salads with brisket. Both salads were soggy. The sandwich was mediocre. The real kicker was the calamari. While eating it, I saw something shining mixed in with it. It turned out to be a piece of some metal scouring pad. It was attached to the calamari. I immediately returned it and asked for it to be removed from my bill. No manager or staff came to my table afterwards to apologize. When I received my bill, it was still there but below that was 100% comp calamari. Although I wasn't charged for it, the recommended tip included the price of the calamari. I will not return to this place.

If you like the BBQ, this is the place for you. Right on the water, beautiful for lunch or dinner. Huge menu

Ordered the ribs, a tad pricey for what I received. Not only that,Their ribs lacked flavor and was not cooked all the way through. Probably not gonna rush back there any time soon. Disappointed.

ribs were over cooked and service was slow especially when we were done. We had to go and ask for the bill.

Place was ok, but there was a DJ blasting music right where they seated us. Couldn't hear anything. Good was slightly above average

Was there this past Saturday and completely enjoyed the experience... Pretty awesome band, DJ was a little allover the place for my taste, but the crowd was awesome and I'd definitely go again.

Typical American fare!! Reasonable prices. Safe environment.

The brisket sandwich was extremely delicious and the mac and cheese is a must have. If I find myself back in the area, I will stop here without question.

Amazing restaurant on the water.. Atmosphere is great!!! Great food... Great place to relax

Decent over all. The steak and ribs are a bit over priced for the thickness and cut of the steak. The portion size for everything else was really good for the price. Looking around the servers looked lost and kept coming behind the bar to pour their own beers and over pouring everytime. It looked unprofessional. Other then that great time.

Awesome to sit on the deck and eat barbecue! Right on the river. Good food and good service

Billy Joe's Ribworks is awesome, hospitality is top class, service was amazing and fast (impeccable). My party was greeted by the Owner after we sat down, then returned after we completed our meal, wonderful guy. The food is to die for, yummy delicious my palette was completely in bliss. Everything I had to eat was on point. I give this restaurant 10 stars. anyone in the Hudson valley area looking for good food Billy Joe's rib works is one of the best Dining experience I ever had. Located at the Newburgh waterfront.

Great experience here today. My wife and I purchased a home locally and we wanted somewhere to celebrate//eat! The views from the deck- "to die for"!

Great food, our server Ryan was phenomenal. My mom and I went in for a nice time on the river and Ryan made sure we happy every step of the way, will definitely be returning.

Always solid chow, and on a sunny day dining outside watching the ducks, gulls and boats on the river is an added bonus.

There was s good music mix of hip hop, pop, and rock. From what I hear Saturday nights is the only time when you can get a decent hip hop mix. There was a decent sized crowd but still enough room to maneuver around the place. The staff was pretty cool too which is rare for a night spot.

Great place for comfort food and barbeque. Beautiful setting on the Hudson river, during the summer ask for a table on the deck.

Went on a Friday after work, Great food, chicken wings were awesome. Drinks were a bit on the fruity side, not enough liquor, switch to draft beer which was awesome. Right next to the ferry, and great river views. Awesome DJ, danced alot.

Came to try and grab lunch on a Saturday and their google page said they were open for dining and pick-up. I get to the parking lot and find that there s a sign on the door that they are closed due to concerns about COVID. Forget that the area isn t having any significant outbreaks or that many other restaurants in the area are open and operating but the fact that this wasn t on their website/google page is just ridiculous. If you re closing due to COVID then you know you are beforehand and should make sure your potential customers don t waste 30 min driving to Newburgh to find out you re not open.

Pretty good BBQ. Loved their sauce. Great views and friendly staff. It was crowded inside because of the weather and food took a little longer than expected. Had it not been raining the outdoor patio would have been awesome.

Oh gosh where shall I start...decided to stop in for a quick bite and a nice cocktail. Well that was a long reach. Sat down and opened a ridiculously sticky and disgusting menu, I had to use the napkin to hold it so I didn t get a fungus. Next, we order two mojitos...they put them in a pint glass which completely watered them down and they had no resemblance of a mojito whatsoever, it was honestly disrespectful to all mojitos....soooo our night begins with sticky menus, watered down tasteless mojitos and the burning question of do we stay or do we leave....welp, we kindly informed the waiter we would be leaving and he sadly excused us....service was great but the filthy menus and horrid drinks sent us packin ....we scrambled down to Blu point and had the best cocktails and appetizers ever! Don t set your expectations too high if you re planning a stop here that s my recommendation

It's popular, it's happening, and always hopping. But the food is just okay. I think Billy Joe's gotten too big and the food quality is mass produced, at least that's been my experience the last two times.

I have been here several times with different people and all the food we tried were great, and everyone is very happy.

Got seated almost right away, my drinks at the bar came from Drew, by the way excellent Mojitos. I have been here in the past and no one can make it good. But Drew got it! Waitress was very nice and friendly, can't remember her name. But everyone from hostess to server was excellent.

Service is great. The food is okay. You go for the views of the Hudson Valley and the drinks.

Great experience. Came here for my son Kevin's birthday. First off the food was great. Some of the best BBQ food I've had since moving to NY from the great state of Louisiana! Although the food was great the service was even better. My server Ryan was very attentive, polite, funny and he knew the menu like the back of his hand. I am very grateful that I listened to his recommendation of the beef ribs because that sh*t hit me in all the right places! I was a little skeptical of it at first because of the price but Ryan assured me it was worth it! I chose the braised greens and mac and cheese as my sides (also recommended) and they were amazing as well. I would recommend that to anyone and I cannot wait to come back!

Billy Joes is the best place to have a good meal and good time.
Amazing view, it s by the waterfront. I go usually for the line dancing on tuesdays,people are very welcoming and the hospitality is amazing. We always get perfect service.

Been living in Orange County for a few years now and this was surprisingly my first time at Billy Joe's. We went for lunch and our waiter Ryan was very nice. Food and drinks came out quickly and it was delicious. Will definitely return!!

Went here for my wife s birthday on Friday evening. Very nice location alongside the Hudson River I was very excited to try this place out for the first time. We requested to be sat alongside the river but were given a tough time at first. Eventually we were finally able to sit down outside. I loved everything about the outdoor seating. Nice weather and very good views all around. The band scheduled for 9 didn t show up til 9:30 which sucked since it was towards the end of our meal. Aside from all of the small unfortunate things we experienced, the food and service was phenomenal. Our server by the name of Ryan I believe made sure we were tended to at all times. He gave us good recommendations as well as made sure our cups were never empty. As well as the rest of the staff I felt welcomed with great hospitality. The food and service did not disappoint one bit which makes this spot a must visit at some point.

Food is eh. Beer is freaking $8?! Way over priced . Spent $40 on an app and a couple of drinks. Pretty sure our waitress was on something.

Our server was amazing, the food not so much. Ribs and chicken were dry and had no flavor. Should gave just stuck with my normal salad :( we had a great time though!
