Foods okay service is intrusive. Prices are okay for what you're getting, but menu is hit or miss.

Drinks are way overpriced and watery. They taste as though there is barely any liquor in them for the price that they are.

Came here for dinner and we enjoyed the BBQ. Great, fun, atmosphere. Towards the end, it turns into a nightclub. We were there when a live band was performing and had blast!

If only the food was as good as the view in this place. We waited almost two hours on a nice summer evening. Ribs were bland and chewy, chicken and Mac and Cheese tasteless. Too many BBQ joints in HV with much better food for much less money.

Food was great. Porky Mac and cheese is where it is at! Have lunch on the Hudson!

Had dinner there last night, the shrimp dinner was good, the pulled pork dinner was just alright. I like my food very hot and if it is too hot then I can let it cool down a little, but don't like my food luke warm. Everything tasted good, but like my pork and baked potato hot. The butter took forever to melt on the potato. However, the biggest issue were the bartenders at the outside bar. Not focus on the guests, more concerned with talking to their friends or regulars. At one point there were two bartenders and then for the last half hour before we left there was only one. My guest wanted a refill of her ice tea. It took about 10 minutes to get the bartenders attention to ask for a refill only to find out she cannot get it for her because the ice tea is in the kitchen and she cannot leave the bar alone. Plus she had no way of communicating to anyone inside to ask them to bring an ice tea out. Maybe she should have flagged down one of the waiters who were waiting on the outside tables to help her or she should could have used her cell phone to call the restaurant and ask the person who answered to get her an ice tea or ask for assistance, but that would have been thinking outside the box. So, extremely disappointing my guest never got her refill. When we were ready to leave, I had to get up from the bar, walk around to get her attention because she was talking to these two older guys for at least 10 minutes, to ask for my check. The service at this outside bar was awful. To me Service is everything at a resaturant, the food can be just okay, but great service will bring me back, not sure I will be back. Maybe management needs to do more managing and make sure service is being provided to their guests.

Food is consistently good every time as well as the service.

Excellent experience. There were eight in our dinner party and our orders ranged from veggie mac to brisket and chicken to St. Louis ribs. Not a complaint in the bunch.

To get a feel for what awaits you, try the sampler platter. But good luck deciding on what to order.

A bonus was that the wait staff was superb.

For great food, great location and prices that won't have you singing the blues, it's hard to beat Billy Joe's Ribworks.

Thanksgiving eve & I wasn't allowed in because of capacity or even a wait literally turned 25 in the in the first 10 of thanksgiving. Manger & security's were very unpleasant & couldn't even say happy birthday or I'm sorry. I had a birthday celebration set up for this restaurant with 10 guests & they would even allow the birthday girl entrance. So ridiculous! Never going back again. Horrible service. Staff & supervisor had bad people skills & were not sympathetic at any means.

Billy Joe s is always my weekly Tuesday date night spot. Whether we are just going for line dancing and drinks or dinner, the staff is always polite and accommodating. So glad the deck is open. My husband and I will definitely be planning a bunch of visits this Spring/Summer. My favorite is the Porky Mac & cheese!

I've never been a big fan of Billy Joe's. It always seems to be filled with bros, the food isn't good and the drinks are overpriced and weak. Just because it's on the water doesn't mean it's good.

Service was excellent. Victoria was very attentive. .food was good.

Went there for Saturday dinner. It was a line to get on a list, but moving pretty fast. We got a table in 5 minutes after they put our name on a list. Beautiful views on Hudson River, good service and food

The place was hot and sticky in side the staff was over worked rushing around not
really attentive. I waited for them to take my order waited for my food to cone and it was cold.never going back lets not forget they took 11.00 dollars off my bill Wow

Always a fun time and good eats! You can't ask for a better experience along the Hudson River shores of Newburgh, NY! A great place for the family by day, and cocktails and dancing under the stars by night! The DJ and the bands are always rockin' and put you in the zone! Fun, fun, fun for everyone!

Awesome ambiance. Love the mac n cheese. Ribs are 3/5 for me. Chicken was 1/5 still has blood on it.

Most delicious smoked BBQ in the area and cool atmosphere on the waterfront. Favorites include porky Mac and BBQ pulled pork

Food wise: meh. Had ribs which I thought were underseasoned and whose BBQ sauce was not very flavorful--would've liked to have BBQ sauce choices. Atmosphere inside is awesome though. We sat at the bar right in the middle of all the action. Was there in winter, so outdoor dining might be nice, IDK. Anyway it's a huge place.

Always stop here when I am in the area. Never had a bad meal and the fried dill pickles are the best!!! Line dancing night in the summer on the pier is awesome and a true experience.

Service was a little bit slow. But everything else was on point. Would do it again

It s not worth a visit and definitely not worth your money.

Upbeat atmosphere. Food is overpriced and tiny portions. Bartenders are friendly. Last time I was there there was a bee infestation outside. Live music...a fun summer place for all ages. A lot of singles of all ages on the prowl lol!

Always a great atmosphere and the brisket, pulled pork, and roasted chicken is fantastic: the meat on meat on meat combo.

Wow! I may be biased for my hometown BBQ (KC). However, this place couldn t score any points. I was only expecting a halfway decent meal... ribs were dry, brisket wasn t trimmed and full of fat. Beans tasted like canned with BBQ. The waitress asked how my meal was and I only told her that the ribs were dry.... her reply, yea he said that too pointing to her bar back. Wow! Clueless customer service and terrible BBQ. The atmosphere was OK and it is perched on a riverfront location. Other than that... go somewhere else if good BBQ is your focus.

I had the pleasure of DJing my friend's wedding at Billy Joe's ribworks, all the staff was extremely friendly and helping me get set up, and the food was absolutely amazing I live in queens and I'm planning a special trip up there just to get more of their brisket.

We went there for our first time and the brisket sandwich was pretty good. The baked beans with burnt ends were delicious. The atmosphere and the loud music were definitely not for middle aged adults, we had trouble hearing each other speak.

The food was great as usual but the service was lacking.

Conflicted. More sauce than meat on the ribs. Large portion sizes, great pulled pork and brisket. Normal $6 beers / $10 cocktails. Should be a solid 4/5, especially with the great location but there was hardly any meat on my ribs - and I paid extra for their special flavored ribs. I possibly had the least amount of meat I've ever seen on ribs, which is infuriating considering the $30 I paid for the dish. The rating is only saved by everything else being great, including the service but I was tempted to make this a 2/5. There was more sauce than meat on the ribs.

The place to be in the summer to enjoy the nice view of the Hudson and dance the night away to the DJ and bands they feature on weekends.

Great place or finger foods and drinks. Other than that go somewhere else. Ribs were dry no taste even with the sauce. Service with a smile hides the taste of the food .

I wish we have a place like this in Brooklyn. The place is amazing. Their Buffalo wings OMG super Good. They are actual very concerned about social distancing and that's is great. The food is fantastic. Service very good. They have very nice young people taking care of you....hoping to back real soon

TONS of food for the price. Staff is friendly, place is quaint/ambiance is good, food is very good BBQ style food. Well worth it

I was happy. My food was delicious though largely portioned which led to leftovers for the following day. The staff were fast, prompt, and tried to make sure I understood the portion size and options. I'm sure portion sizes would have been fine if my group of 4 could have had similar tastes and shared but that didn't happen . I don't think for what I chose that I would come as a single participant. Would go there again as a group.

I was told to leave from the restaurant for dancing on the stage... As I left I was choked out by a bouncer.

Its right on the water, live band, food and drinks are delicious! Vegetarian plates are limited!
