I live 10 minutes from a Trek store that is a good one. But, on the advice of a friend, I drove almost an hour to Bikewise Oxford - so glad I did. Chris and the guys set me up with a bike that I am really happy with. You can count me as a customer from here on.
Bikewise is a wonderful local bike shop whether you are in the market for a new bike, a new-to-you used bike, or just need a quick repair. My family has been buying bikes here for our family for well over a decade. Always a pleasure to deal with, and still open for sales and service in a safe environment during the pandemic.

Doug is one of the most knowledgeable cycling guys in the entire area. The shop is organized and efficient and the guys work in plain view of the customers. He keeps a well stocked store and I have personally used his bike fitting service for a custom bike I ordered and the system he uses is first rate. He has built 2-custom wheel sets for me and the work on both is superb and he stands behind the wheels he makes.
Working with Doug was a great experience. He worked extremely hard to source a bike from Trek for me, well beyond my expectations and way earlier than I'd hoped considering the current bicycle market. He was well informed, accommodating, and helpful. After spending lots of time speaking to and visiting several local bike shops, it was obvious that Doug was truly dedicated to cycling and getting riders the right bike. I drove over a hundred miles to Bikewise to pickup the bike (came from Indy) and I'd do it again in a heartbeat.
Bikewise has been my goto local bike shop since I bought my first road bike in 2013, a Trek Domane. Several years and bikes later, including road, mountain and cyclocross bikes, I am still impressed with the level of customer service that Doug and his team provide! We are truly lucky to have them in Oxford!

Doug and Chris are the most knowledgeable and honest guys to do business with. Before purchasing my new bike, Doug Hamilton the owner, spent a lot of time with me answering my questions and measuring me to ensure the proper fit on the bike. I am highly satisfied with the service and professional advice they offer. It is obvious they love their job and often perform small repairs without charging. Their service and knowledge are second to NONE!!! BIKEWISE is the only place to go for me.

What an excellent bike shop! Went in to rent a couple of bikes for the mtb trails at hueston woods. They went out of their way to make sure the bikes fit us as well as possible, up to the point of changing the bike mechanically. Super nice people as well. I would definitely recommend this shop.

I enjoy being a patron of local bike shops and a trip to BikeWise is almost always pleasant. On this occasion, thanks to the purchase tracking and general helpfulness of the staff, I was able to find the right tire for my needs and learned a bit about what my partner had had installed for me years ago.

Overall they were really nice and caring. I had a simple flat tire, but no tools to fix it. The price was fair and the service was great. My only issue was the person who originally took my bike and information accidentally put the repair down as complete, and my bike sat in the store for a couple of days. When I went in to pick up my bike and discovered that the repair was never actually done the employees were super apologetic and fixed it right away. Because of their sincerity and kindness (also the fact that the whole issue was a simple mistake), I will 100% be returning and am overall very pleased with the work they did on my bike.

I brought my new road bike in to be fitted, and the process was amazing! The video capture and measuring process was really informative, and I can't wait to see the results in my training. These guys were able to work on my spoked tire for a 1976 motorcycle, if that wasn t impressive enough they found a problem with it that could have caused the tire to come off at high speed. So yeah these guys are great.

I bought my first Trek from this place these guys are awesome they fitted me to the bike perfectly I had a problem with it later on brought it back for a small problem they fixed it no charge highly recommend this place these guys know exactly what they're doing with bicycles they are the best of the best.

Competent employees that do good work. Would recommend for higher-end bicycle purchases. However, be aware of high price tags (+$500 per bike, if you get the package deals/add-ons).
Only complaint is the tendency to refer to big store bikes as "toys". Still willing to repair or assemble them for a moderate fee, however.
Edit: Response to the owner's comment: No, there were bike's sold with prices in the $500 range since they came with add-ons bundled together. Please check your sticker price.
I came in for a tune-up after being unimpressed with a few other bike shops near me. I found the staff very knowledgeable. They did a great job. I will be back.
