Super helpful volunteer who recommended an excellent starter bike for me ($200!). It was great talking to him as he was very knowledgeable and took the time to answer my many questions. Glad to support a local business that gives back so much.

Have never had a bad experience here. For an older bike they help look for used parts. They are located right off the Southwest Corridor bike path so that makes it super convenient for popping in on the way home or to work. Highly recommend!

Wonderful organization that not only had a great social mission but also has a lot of used parts it sells at very reasonable prices. I got a wheel/tire to replace my stolen front wheel. The staff were all very helpful!

A magnificent and excellent program, very good service and the resources they offer are incomparable; I felt like I was in my own garage, with more pieces than I ever used to have. Thank you very much and I wish you all the best.

Tremendous nonprofit organization, wonderful youth outreach, local font of knowledge on all things bicycle. you would think a nonprofit that receives unclaimed bicycles might be inclined to sell them for less than 400 damn dollars for a second hand bike there is a fundamental disconnect there it's crazy. Yes nice bikes are expensive but I want a cheap whatever that I don't need to add to y insurance policy like damn so expensive so very expensive

Best bike shop ever! Had quite a few things to get fixed on my bike and I felt I was advised well about the options I had. These guys won't try to sell you the most expensive thing, not try to convince you to also fix this and that like dentists. Labor costs are very low yet they're super professional experts. Very satisfied with the fixes! My bike feels like new! Thank you!

Needed new gears on my bike and my chain oiled up. Pierre was very friendly and gave me a quote, he even tightened my front wheel, gave me a nut to keep it more steady, and oiled up my chain without me asking for it when I went in for an estimate. He noticed the front wheel was unsafe almost immediately after looking at it (I thought it was good enough for even the little change he did made a noticable difference!). I scheduled a time to bring my bike back to have the gears replaced so I could still use my bike to commute, BNB was very cooperative in scheduling a time and day with me and had my bike back within 2 days after I dropped it off. The final price was 35% higher than my initial quote, but after some haggling, Andy was very helpful and got me my quote price without too much trouble. Excellent workers here!

Excellent Shop. I've bought 3 bikes from them (Theft is a problem in Boston...) and keep going back. They are excellent at working through your bikes problems with you. Prices are a little higher than I'd necessarily want for used bikes but they make up for it with great service and excellent quality.

Its kinda pricey for me but my money is very well spent. The service nd products they have is excellent nd I love the fact that they have a program for youth to learn how to build nd maintain a bike. I'm seriously considering of applying.

What a wonderful shop. Great staff & a great mission. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a quality bike shop with a conscious. Also if you have a bike that you're no longer using, consider donating it to them. Every month or so they fill a shipping container and send it overseas to the less fortunate full of bikes to improve the lives of others. Such a great organization.

I go to Bike not Bombs because it is on my way home from work. They have this deal on tubes, buy three for the price of two so the price of tubes become really competitive with online prices (wt free shipping). Mostly they give very good advice, but I am just a bit miffed from my last visit. i got contradicting advice about my wheel spokes. Someone else (at this shop) gave me advice and I was following that in terms of maintaining my wheel (which is less than 2 years old) while this person now told me I just need a new wheel. Well I wish I was told that the first time and I had not invested the time and change ($) on my wheel.

Other than that, it is a very good bike shop. I have bought tubes, bike pumps (yes pumps :P ), bike lights, and tools from this place.

If you need to do some repairs yourself, they have tools by the door which you are free to use. Or atleast I have ;-)

Have been taking my bike here for years.
Today I had an awesome experience.
Had a flat tire and they fixed it in 15 or 20 mins.
Managed to go out and enjoy the beautiful weather.
Thank you.

I'm not usually the reviewing type, but this shop is awesome! I brought my bike in a couple weeks ago because it wasn't shifting smoothly. The mechanic found a very cost efficient way to replace the necessary parts for me, and now my bike rides beautifully! This is one of the only bike shops I've been to where I don't feel like I'm being up-sold and the quality of the work is great!

Outstanding bike shop! I brought in a bike that I ve been riding all year for close to a decade now. Not only did they knock out a tune up and replace some parts in a day, but they also managed to clean off years of road grime from MN winters, CA dust and smog, and ~a month of Boston riding so far.

The advice was also honest, and they never upsold if anything they pointed me at some cheaper bar tape. Absolutely recommended!

Friendly staff. Stopped here during a bike event and this was a pit stop. Didn't buy anything, but the staff here seemed very friendly with everyone where I would have expected them being annoyed by all the people using their bathrooms. This place earned my future support.

While the service at Bikes not Bombs may seem more laid back than some of the other local bike shops, the staff is deeply knowledgeable, not inclined to talk down to customers, and the selection of new and refurbished bikes is one of the best in the area. The shop also has a good selection of accessories, and the organization works proactively to educate and fascinate bike usage in the Boston area (with workshops on maintaining your own bike and tables promoting bike usage at local events, and a mission to get bikes to people who can't afford other transportation to people worldwide). By all means check the other shops in the area, but don't forget to stop in here.
