Amazing sculpture garden and one of the most unique minigolf courses I have ever seen!Great for kids and adults. Its also connected to a bike path. Perfect for weekend activities! This place is made with love and passion.
Amazing!! Fun for everyone! The putt putt is artistic and challenging. The sculptures are wonderful...just too beautiful! The location is very peaceful and relaxing on a Saturday evening.
*FYI* They only accept cash or check!
This place was a treasure trove of unexpected delight! We took a group of 20+ people, ages 5 to 75 and everyone enjoyed it. We started miniature golf and meandered for an hour after exploring the the sculptures, gardens and animals. We were surprised to find a firepit with marshmallows.
Overall a delightful experience well worth the drive and the money.
Fun afternoon, bring your patience, tough course. Spend your wait time to formulate a strategy and enjoy the sculptures. Sculptures are the obstacles on the course. There are other sculptures along the paths as well, some not obvious, my partner had to point some out. Plan on a couple hours.
A weird dream of a mini-golf course, nestled in the woods of Minnetrista.
Lots to see! REALLY NEAT 13 hole mini golf course. Different from ANY you've ever seen! Tons of sculptures and art from local artisans. Animals! Goats, chickens, horses, dog (Maggie), potbelly pig... You can play tabletop shuffle board and checkers...
Some sculptures you can climb on...fire pit...
There are some tables you could bring a snack etc...
Heads up! Sometimes no one is working the "Box Office" but there will be some clubs and balls out. There's a lock box to put your payment in. There is no change. So extra is consider a donation!
$9 age 9 and up
$8 age 8 and under
This is a great mini golf place. Each hole is creatively put together. I discover something new each time I visit.
We absolutely randomly pulled off the road to check this place out while on vacation. Just a little adventure when we saw the sign by the road. What an unexpected pleasure! Mini golf was a bit on the pricey side, I'd say, especially for only 14 holes. But it was a totally homemade, unique course unlike any I've ever played before. And the kids (7 and 8) had an absolute blast, and those of you with kids know what a big deal that is. Plus the kids got to feed the goats, which they thought was so cool! And although we didn't come for the sculpture garden and were a little too tired by that point in the day to explore it fully, we did walk around a little. It's enormous, totally unexpected and unique, bizarre in a totally fun way, and really relaxing to walk around. There was a great big garden to check out, and chickens and ducks in addition to the goats. We had a great time and would highly recommend stopping here!
Very nice place for mini golf. Original sculptures. Only cash or checks
I love this place. It's like a Neverland for adults. Not only is that t Minni golf, but there is goats and sculptures to check out just awesome
Super cute. Amazing art. Beautiful date spot. Would come again!
Seriously a must see as well as a must do! Our family absolutely loved it so much. It's really awesome!!! We all cannot wait to go back. When the kids were arguing about who goes first we just took a moment to pay the adorable goats! Plus you can buy orange sodas and free range eggs all while taking in the beautiful sculpture gardens that are part of the course! If that's not enough already you get to roast some marshmallows with your fellows! That's free btw. I only hope they add on someday & offer season passes because I could do that all day!
I almost hesitate to review because this is such a secret spot. A great place to visit right off bike trail. The sculpture garden is incredibly quaint. This is a true gem!
Honestly the mini golf was a blast, some of the holes took just a little to find but the staff always help guide you. The best part though were the goats, the male goat midnight ended uo being my favorite!
Beautiful artwork! Fun for the kids and adults! Highly recommend this place.
Overall a pleasant place to spend time with kids and grandkids. A wooded area with some garden sculptures. If you're looking for competitive mini golf, sorry. The lumpy greens are not very forgiving.
Amazing !! Worth going to ! Best mini golf ever !!! So fun !
This was a complete surprise. It's such a unique, impressive, and entertaining experience!! We were delighted to find out that it is a sculpture park in addition to the mini golf, and it's worth well beyond the money spent to see the art, which itself is part of the mini golf. Definitely take the time to visit! It's one of those things that make for great conversation later and plenty of fun picture opportunities!
This place is SOOO cool, with a super helpful staff that was so helpful to us on our visit. very unique in many ways. They have animals, like goats, pigs, chickens etc... This is also a sculpture garden with many sculptures to see. The mini golf is not expensive & is one of the most unique courses I've ever played & I've played some pretty unique courses in Myrtle Beach which is the mini golf capital with hundreds of courses. Would totally recommend anyone of any age try it out, you wont regret it! Bring cash no credit cards here
Played here with family the day after a wedding. I loved this experience and hope to return.
Great sculptures. Most artistic mini golf course I've ever seen. Fun!
Great place to relax and enjoy the day of mini golf.
Interesting and fun. Had a number of sculptures and farm animals.
This place is so cool! Family fun and great for dates, art lovers, animal lovers and mini golf lovers! Most of the animals are all running free and so cute! I saw a big pig taking a nap and chickens and roosters coming up to me. They have goats too. They have horses and bulls behind fences and other animals. The golf courses are beautiful works of art. We stopped to play checkers and chess at some tables! They have ice cream to buy too, u can also bring your own lunch or snacks and have a picnic somewhere in the field or at a table.
Was well filled with different art aswell as a gee mini golf course that was well themed around the area it was situated within
What an amazing gem this place is! Great mini golf, amazing scultures, beautiful views, and fun to explore!
Big Stone Mini Golf is known for its clever artistic holes and unique sculpture trail. After a 14 hole round of mini golf free to enjoy the beautiful Big Stone Sculpture Garden. These gardens display unique sculptures throughout the grounds of rolling hills, organic gardens, life size games, picnic areas, party spaces, ponds, and an open pasture that also serves as home to a variety of grazing animals.
It was great! Loved the sculptures and the animals. Will definitely come back again!!!
It's amazing, great place to hang out with the family and enjoy the day out have an event, corporate or personal.
Hidden gem. Amazingly designed minigolf course. The statues and landscaping is really cool. Greens aren't what you would find at a "professional" minigolf place but the setting and surroundings is what makes this place great. The holes are fun and challenging. Kids still love it though. There are even farm animals to see.
Fun, cool sculptures to mini golf in and among! We love it and try to go each year!
Quirky, and fun to go for a date! Lots to talk about here
One of my favorite places also iyts a sculpture garden
Great property to walk around, amazing art and fun activities abound.
Always a fun time. Generally $10 for adults and $9 for kids. Sculptures are fun too and the staff is consistently super friendly. The only downside is they are cash or check only, no credit cards accepted.
Most holes are not wheelchair accessible but i don't know many in the cities that are.
The course wasn't very clean. Not worth the drive in my opinion.
This is the MOST WONDERFUL, CREATIVE and CHARMING mini-golf course venue I've ever played. And I'm a 68 yr old kid. You owe it to yourself to give it a go. I believe everyone who makes a putt there will thoroughly enjoy the experience. It is simply THE BEST!!!
Very cozy place ... Good for spending time with your family and kids..
LOVE, LOVE, LOVE This place!!! It's my very favorite place to go in the summer and always makes for good memories. The mini golf course is very unique and has been incorporated with hand crafted sculptures. There are so many animals on the grounds to meet and goats to feed. Prices are very reasonable and the staff is friendly. Would recommend for children and adults alike, it has something for everyone.
Nice mini golf, nice art, nice location. Really bad they don't take credit card. Make sure you bring cash, closest ATM about 10 minutes away.
Very nice place for mini golf. Original sculptures. Only cash or checks
The new additions of art are awesome, can't wait to see the gardens this Spring
Quirky and beautiful all at the same time! We had a blast!
Unique mini golf course. Our kids enjoyed it. It's in fairly poor condition, not well maintained. Weeds, overgrown trees. It was overpriced for what you get, plus....only 14 HOLES!
So fun for adults and kids of all ages! I hadn't been for about two years and I was pleasantly surprised to see that they had added a TON more sculptures and picnic spaces! Come to golf, but plan to spend the day, pack a lunch. There is a giant chess set, 2 checker boards, a shuffleboard table, baggs, ping pong, bocce, just to name a few. Lots of land and sculptures to explore AND some adorable farm animals too! My 14 year old said it would be a fun place to take a date someday!
This is a fantastic course full of cleverly Incorporated art installations. Also, with fun and friendly animals to pet! This is a great place to bring the family. After you're done, I recommend walking around the land and looking at all the amazing art.
A fun, unique place just off the beaten path. Check out the artistic 14 holes of mini-golf, make some smores at the fire pit inside "Stonehenge" and wander the grounds to check out all the unique sculptures.
Best Mini Golf ever!! Be sure to explore grounds when you finish your round, so much more to see!!
Lots of fun for the family. Reasonable prices and a very unique concept with creative mini golf course and impressive sculptures. It s definitely worth the visit.
Fun place for families. Very unique putting greens. Beautiful artwork everywhere! There's also an outdoor walkthrough "art gallery" area.
A pleasant surprise tucked away in the woods! This place was recommended to us by an employee at Maynard's on Minnetonka. Driving there we were a little concerned that we may not be in the right place because seemed like we were out in the country but once we arrived we were impressed. It has lots of cool sculptures and was different than anything we've ever seen. All I can say is it was worth the drive and it was a fun adventure!
A really wonderful place for mini-golf as well for art appreciation! 13 out of 14 holes were open, so 4 stars for now; I will definitely be back and recommend Big Stone!
Great place to spend an afternoon with friends and family. Nice hidden gem. Bring Cash, that's the only thing they accept.
Great place! The prices are awesome, and there is a variety of activities. We played some mini golf on an elaborate golf course made from sculptures. We them walked around the sculpture gardens and found a fire pit where we could roast marshmallows. Highly recommended!
Rad place. Like put-putting your way through pans labyrinth. Take the time to stroll through the rest of the grounds & play the other games as well.
Low-key, creative fun! Play a casual game of mini-golf while you contemplate modern art; stop to roast a marshmallow in the circle of a mini Stonehenge, browse the sculpture garden and watch the farm animals graze. It's a great place to get together with friends or family, rain or shine.
If these were 'normal' times, I would actually rate Big Stone five stars. I was so impressed with not only the fun mini golf course, but the unexpected amount of animals, sculptures, games - it was a lot to take in and definitely worth $12 (kids 8 and an under are $10).
This was the first real outing my son and I have taken to a public place other than a grocery store or park, but I read online they had a strict mask policy, and were carefully sanitizing everything. The problem was, no staff actually walked around the course (where people are fairly close proximity) to enforce the mask rule. Approximately 30% of the people on the course at any given time had their masks off, only covering their mouth, or in their pocket. For this alone - I would not recommend going to Big Stone during the pandemic.
Amazing place great mini golf , great sculpture garden, horses, goats, and chickens. Bing a lunch plenty of space and table to eat
Nice experience, affordable, need bug spray. Only 14 intetesting holes. You can also feed the goats and purchase egg rolls for a buck.
You would never know just by driving by the place that there is an extensive sculpture garden and just general garden situated here in Mound.
A great place for quiet contemplation. For art lovers and outdoor enthusiasts alike.
neat place! had a great time golfing and walking around!
Every hole has cool sculptures and variety, very fun mini golf course. Also when you finish you have the chance to wander around and look at all the cool sculptures and creations behind the courses which include wooden ships and stone henge-like sculptures. Combined with this there are also some goats. The goats really top off the experience.
It was so much fun, great art, and a unique course that was super challenging at times and easy at other times! Would go again! Loved it! :)
Very fun place. Lots of people. We were a bit confused at what hole to start with. Very unique place, also live animals to feed.
