The issue i had was never dealt with and im more than a grand in the negative with this purchase.

After multiple purchases i have made this my go to shop. Went to pick up a purchase lastnight my background check took a lil long with it being at the end of the day. Went back this morning when they opened Denny and staff were friendly and eager to help had me in and out in 10 minutes. Combined with big daddy unlimited i can pretty much find everything i need.

Best transfer fees if ordering online. $20, and that includes multiple guns. Also had the best price around on a Taurus PT111.

No customer service what so ever they do not return emails ,gladly sold me a buch of items then after taking my money they put on my bill they had to order from someone else to fulfill my order.I don't know how they can sell me a bill of goods they don't even have. ridiculous they sell stuff they don't stock,so if you order from them just expect a long wait ,cause you order from them then they order from who ever then they get around to shipping crazy

had a ar15 stripped upper in my cart 4 days ago for $124.99.
I put it in my cart and forgot about it. now the same item is $164.99
these guys raised the price $40.00. this is a shady business. don't buy from people who take advantage of people.

They made a small adjustment to my sight on the spot without me having to leave it with them. While I waited, I looked around the store and was very impressed. Even though they are a small store, they have a good selection of high end parts. Some things I would have thought of as "internet only" are in their store.

Went here for a few accessories and got exactly I needed. After getting home I realized I didn't have hex keys long enough to install my Mlok part, so I brought it there and they hooked me right up. Best customer service, best selection, hands down.

Denny was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I live out of state and Big Daddy Guns had a firearm I have been trying to find for quite some time but haven t been able to due to the pandemic. Denny had no problem shipping it to my local FFL dealer and he had it packaged up the same day. If I lived in Florida, this would be my go to gun shop.

Knew what I wanted got in and out with great service.

First time doing business with these guys and it won't be last! They had the best price locally for the rifle I wanted. Though it wasn't in stock, they had it within a week. Great customer service from Nick.

Denny and the guys there have always been unbelievably helpful with my countless questions ive had there about various firearms, and AR parts. Even when my wife has gone into Big Daddy Guns by herself shes even told me how they answered any questions she had and in no way where bushy like other shops on what she "needs". Been in and out of this shop probably about 2 dozen times since November, and its always been a positive experience.

I did not enjoy my time here. They offer the very bare minimum toward any trade. I understand they have to make money but its ridiculous what they offer. The guys behind the counter treat you like you know nothing. Very condescending. Held guns in their hands while they "haggled" me. Please go somewhere else for your gun needs.

When I lived in Gainesville, I shopped here for several years for all of my gun needs, even for obscure things that you can't find ANYWHERE else in town. Run by great people too!

My first visit to this store was on September 8th, 2020 .. Amanda was very very helpful, courteous and patient. She told me about Big Daddy Unlimited as well (which is a separate awesome review).
Their staff is super courteous and patient and helpful. I've worked with Amanda, Chris and John thus far and each time has been an awesome supportive experience.
I would absolutely recommend a visit to this storefront for your needs ... It's hard to imagine a better level of service and support for patrons!

I am new to the gun world and had a bunch of questions so I called the store and spoke with Denny and he was amazing at answering my questions, made me feel completely comfortable in asking these questions that I m sure he gets asked repetitively AND invited me to come to the store so I can see and feel the difference in gun options. I am super impressed by how respectful, informative, and knowledgeable they are and not one single time did anyone try to force a sale on me. And in fact guided me to a gun that would be best suited for specifically me! I cannot wait for the inventory to re-up because I am DEFINITELY coming back!!!

I attended the Big Daddy Guns concealed weapons class last evening with John Lugo and Connor, these guys did a terrific job. Very informative and presented in a patient and an interesting way, covering a lot of information without overwhelming anyone. I was most impressed by the concern John showed to "students" who were very new to the subject. Expressing concern that he wasn't moving to fast and giving them an information overload! Lugo and Connor answered so many questions patiently and accurately. With great demonstrations too!! I highly recommend this class and these instructors to anyone!! Can't wait to practice, practice, practice! I am anxious to see what they have in store for us next!!

Great Gun shop. I'm a little frustrated with the Gun repair services though. My pistol is stuck in double-action only mode and I dropped it off there for three weeks. Then they called and said, okay it's fixed! Really? I was a little surprised, because I've had a few gunsmiths tell me it couldn't be fixed. Test-fired it today, not fixed. Same problem. Yeah, I know I should bring it back but, this may not be the right place for Gun repairs. That's my feeling.

I m new to the gun fam and was slightly nervous about getting started. After looking around, they had the best prices to offer. Denny was very informative and helpful on making me feel comfortable about my purchase. Carson also helped in guiding me with the right equipment and accessories I needed for my gun. Guillermo attended us, and he provided me and my husband extraordinary customer experience. The moment he saw us, he called us over to the counter, let us hold as many firearms as we liked to see, and was very informative on the best ones, as well as on the best knives, gear, methods for engraving, etc. We will definitely make this our go-to shop for our firearms needs.

Also, this shop has an excellent firearm selection and prices. Ask for their membership discount option for even lower prices I purchased my Glock 43x for $100 less by paying $0.99 on a membership that I can cancel at any time.

I took a pistol safety course with John and Connor and it was great ! I enjoyed the fact that they are both veterans and had an expansive knowledge of firearms and how they function, the proper way to actually shoot and not just like in the movies lol. I came in thinking I knew stuff already and left with even more knowledge ! Very good guys and they have an awesome beginner safety course for your CCW permit, with more in store for the future ! I cant wait to take more courses and do some training with them ...thanks guys !

I moved to Gainesville about 6 months ago. I visited several gun stores and after shopping at Big Daddy Guns I had no need to go anywhere else. I bought my guns there, I buy all my ammo there, they walked me through the process of buying a silencer, which was super easy, and every time I visit this store (which is at least once per week) the atmosphere the staff creates feels like they are a family. The staff and the support I get from this store is beyond fantastic. Lugo, Carson, Chris, Dawson and Denny are absolutely amazing, I just love those guys. They are very knowledgable about all their products, very helpful, always professional, and they go out of their way to help me with everything I need. Thank you!

Just not very friendly at all nor a welcoming environment, felt very uncomfortable while in the store will not go again- maybe I am just a customer service based individual and since i have and know the meaning of it, it's just more noticable when I not being treated like a customer

Big Daddy Guns in Gainesville and Ocala have a large assortment of guns. The staff is quite knowledgeable and goes the extra mile to make sure you are satisfied with your purchase. I will start by saying, the customer service was great, but as I approached the store, there were several men standing around the entrance of the store smoking. It was a little intimidating. My anxiety was assuaged when i entered the store. I was greeted and assisted by Lugo. He gave me very good information and a quick tutorial on how to handle the firearm that I was considering. I recommend Big Daddy Guns for your firearm and ammo purchases.

Super friendly on the phone and in person. Both Denny and Carson were super helpful. Went in to get some sights and a striker safety installed and was in and out super quick. Very good experience overall and would be happy to do business there again.

Purchased gunstock on online auction paid in full on the phone then 2 hrs later called me back that the item is not in stock at their warehouse. Money was refunded but how do you put something on auction that you dont have . Never again

Never having been in this store, I really didn't know what to expect. I did however have a fairly clear idea of what I was looking for. Denny is who helped me. He answered all my questions, gave me a few pointers, all while helping me find exactly what I was looking for. Very professional. I will definitely be back.

I was very pleased with Big Daddy Guns. They have a lot of good quality stock. I apprecited that the store was well lit and clean. Sometimes at gun stores I find that, as a women, I don't get treated seriously. The staff were all very friendly and helpful especially Denny who helped me with a veterans discount. I typically don t write reviews but I ve had nothing but good experiences here. Staff is knowledgeable and willing to go out their way to make sure you find exactly what you need. Plenty of options on firearms, accessories and cans.

On February 3rd I ordered a Beretta 12/28 O/U shotgun using the BD unlimited website in which I am a member. I was informed that the arrival of the shotgun to be shipped to the Gaineville store will be about 15 days. That would be the latest date. I called in early February just to see the progress and was informed about software issues, which I was made aware of in January. I called this week and spoke to a representative named Rosa. She informed me that the shotgun arrived on February 8, but they can't find it. She suggested that she would speak with the manager from the warehouse, which I hope I have that correct, to ascertain where the shotgun was located. When speaking with her this Friday she would reorder the shotgun and send me a confirmation number. I did not receive a conf confirmation number.I have been using my February 3 confirmation number throughout these conversations. I paid over $2,000, back on February 3, and still waiting for the right answer to the shotgun's location.
Update February 24, 2021. I called again on Monday February 22 and spoke with Rosa, who passed me on to Jake. Jake heard my concerns and was following up with the Manager. Later that morning I received a call from Joe, the Manager. The found the shotgun after searching the last location having searched prior locations. The shotgun was misplaced. I was informed that this issue was discussed by the Co-Owner, managers, and other respective employees to retrace what happened to the order and how it shouldn't happen to another customer. I was please with the results, the explanation, and the honest assessment about what the employees must do differently . The sincerely believed that my concerns were important and the issue was to be resolved in a manner that did not leave the customer wondering if they will get a follow-up call.
I would redo my assessment to three stars. Thank-you for your work and a satisfactory resolution having received the shotgun the same day.

I wish some of the old reviewers would modify their ratings. This place is super friendly and helpful. I am a straight noob and the staff was very patient and knowledgeable with my dumb questions. Looking forward to going back!

I went to the Gainesville location to get a handgun&was greeted immediately. Sales associate Denny offered help to me. Then he got me thru the required paperwork, suggested and signed me up for the club membership and made sure I was comfortable with my purchase. He offered suggestions & accessories. I definitely recommend this store & Sales associate.

Me and my wife walked in today looking to get her another handgun for home defense. Upon walking in Mr. Denny helped us out and showed us a selection of handguns that my wife would be interested in as she liked the feel of her glock and wanted something similar. Mr. Denny showed us the HK VP9 pistol and she was instantly in love. We settled on getting this handgun and before cashing out Mr. Denny informed us of a membership they have that can save us money on everything in the store. He informed us on all it covers and for the price per month being 9.99 you can not beat that. So not only did we get the gun my wife loved we also got it for a good price and will definitely be using that membership to the fullest. If you see this Mr. Denny, thank you very much for the excellent service and information.

If there was anything lower than a one star believe me id chose it. Dropped my gun off for service, never got a straightforward honest answer and always received a runaround as to when my gun would get picked up or supposedly looked at by one of their guys. Over a week of just sitting at their shop and obviously had absolutely no work attempted on because after having to pick up my gun for no service was able to get it resolved in less than 5 mins with an outside source.
Great choice of ammo and weapons but poor attention and service to customers. Definitely not returning for service.

If you're looking for a gun at a good price, this is the place to go. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Definitely will go back.

The customer service of this store and company as a whole is exceptional. I live over hour from this store n make the trip out to get items because of best prices and the most important part excellent customer service I receive.

The staff is exceptional and very knowledgeable and will never treat you less than for asking a questions.
I have never been treated as anything less then a valued customer. That to me is the most important part of why I will drive the hour plus to this store and be a life long loyal customer.

Really great experience. Went in for info on a 1911 and was treated so well. Denny is phenomenal, knows his stuff and is happy to make sure you know how to safely handle and enjoy your firearm. I was more used to striker fires like glocks and he gave me the ins and outs of how to safely handle a hammer-based pistol. Thanks Denny!

Denny helped me out tremendously with my purchase of a Ruger 2245 and all kinds of accessories. I really wanted to come in and meet him after talking to him on the phone last week. He had a lot of great information that really helps me and is very enthusiastic about Guns and the business. Thank you Denny and BDU for great service and products.

Concerning Big Daddy Unlimted Club:

The prices are decent on small items like flashlights, knives and accessories like mags, gunsmith items, etc. Pricing on firearms is excellent. The real problem is that BDU doesn't offer any shipping options other that $10 shipping and shipping is really slow (7 or more days). This makes it not worth it to buy items that don't have a high cost. For example: $50 flashlight from BDU has an end price of $60, whereas I could buy it from Amazon for $57 with free 2 day shipping. So unless you spend enough in one transaction to make up for the insane shipping cost, or buy firearms frequently, the monthly membership fee MAY not be worth it in the end (I'm still experimenting).

BDU, I would recommend expanding your shipping options. I would definitely buy more stuff more frequently if the shipping was more affordable, appropriate, and appealing.

Also their website is archaic and lacks any real search or filtering options. It takes you forever to find what you want, and when you do there are multiples of the same option (for instance, there were at least 3 streamlight 2xl options.) I don't understand why they don't lump all their inventory under one selection.

Big Daddy Guns seems to be the only gun store around that still cares about your business given the skyrocketing demand for firearms. Denny did a phenomenal job helping my girlfriend and I today. He patiently worked with us to find her a gun that she liked. He was kind, informative, and made us feel that our business was appreciated. This was perfectly in line with my experience buying a firearm from here last year with the help of an older gentleman named John. Besides the outstanding customer service, the prices were excellent. Five stars doesn't do this place justice in my opinion.

Good inventory and selection of guns. Just unhappy with the service. I first time went in,wasn't greeted. Which isn't a problem, but they greeted the man that came in after me. Wasn't really asked for help either. I bought ammo and left. Didn't really feel welcomed. Then today I thought I would give a second chance. Well I was greeted this time. The guy cashing the man out in front of me, was having a nice conversation. Then when I went to check out he just told me my total. Didn't really think anything of it until he started having a conversation with my boyfriend who checked out right after me. I feel as a young woman so unwelcomed in the store.

John helped me select the perfect setup. Highly recommended for first-timers through experts.
