Nothing much to look at, except to collect flyers and pick up local map. The staff we talked to, Tommy, was knowledgeable and honest when he didn't know the full answer. Make this a stop if you'd like more information on the area.

I absolutely love Big Bear. It's a whole different life style. The locals are friendly, the store owners have so much patience not only with kids. There's many outside activities. I recomend that you at least try to go once because after that you will want to keep going back.

We expect visitor centers to be helpful and friendly, we were not disappointed. It was a cozy, inviting environment. The employees genuinely wanted to help and chat. They gave great information and we placed our pin on the world map. (They start over with a clean map at the beginning of year). This place also doubles as the chamber of commerce which is convenient.

Helpful place and people, free postcards to send to family and friends, but not our type of town. We'd planned to do LOTS of fishing but learned the algae in the water had killed 4 dogs already. Water was swampy looking and gross!!! We were very disappointed with our decision to stay in big bear lake area for our vacation this year. Gave it 2 stars only because of the kind people who live and work in the area.

Place it self is ok nothing negative about the place, but I felt discriminated against in the most political manner possible, the brown headed lady at the front wast robotic and had a negative demeanor. There was a blond lady that stood up when the door opened but when she saw us she sat back down and the third lady was in her email business. The third lady seemed like the boss. I will be sending an email to the mayor and the city to have more positive individuals to work, specially at a WELCOME center. Now I see why there are so many houses for sale. Lack of that positive and Christmas cheer around these neck of the woods
