Disappointed, sat for 20 minutes without service without being asked what we would like to drink, looked lovely and was very busy... Shame.

Two stars are not in reflection of the wonderful waiting staff at Bewleys Grafton Street, they could not have been nicer nor more attentive. The two stars reflect the poor quality, over priced food served. All members of our group had a fried breakfast which was served to us cold and not much on the plate for the price. The only reason to visit here would be for the nostalgia and perhaps the lovely waiting staff, otherwise I would not recommend that you waste your time.
Wonderful place with heaps of
Character and fine food !
Really nice tea and desserts in frankly beautiful surroundings. The stained glass is particularly beautiful.
Excepionally kind staff, great patisserie. Hot chocolate is the best and even comes with a little engancing kit
Great to see this Dublin Institution open again in Grafton Street after extensive refurbishment. Still has same Brewleys feel with much improved restaurant. Great table service, friendly staff and reasonable prices. Front cake shop slightly smaller but with excellent selection.
The cafe is in the middle of Crafton Street and is very, very large.
The selection of cakes is plentiful and the prices humane, however, it takes a long time until the order or the invoice comes because the waiters are slightly overwhelmed
Doesn't have the same nostalgic feel of its earlier incarnation but fantastic food, lovely staff and well worth a visit.
Overrated and expensive for what is pre packed uninteresting food. Used to love this place but it's become a pretentious hub. Used to be my go to place in Dublin but not any more.
Lovely, charming tearoom. Definitely worth a trip as a visitor to, or resident of, Dublin!
Lovely experience in this Beautiful Establishment. Short wait to be seated and served by friendly attentive staff . Had scones with cream and Jam and Hot Chocolate s all Delish. Highly recommend a visit.
Friendly staff, very nice location, especially near the fireplace, if lit.
Great nostalgic visit. Still as welcoming. Will be back
Lovely place graftonStreet little bit expensive but otherwise beautiful place to visit and eat
Lovely setting, renovations very good. Had coffee only but was very good.
An interior grand cafe in a classic style with a huge hall and a large number of guests. The coffee is excellent, the desserts are almost excellent, there are questions about baking.
What a great cafe with fresh breakfast and lunch items in the middle of shopping street
It wouldn't be Christmas without breakfast at Bewley's on rhe 24th of December.
Flirty cafeteria with a multitude of sweets and cakes. All delicious and friendly staff. Highly recommended site. We will definitely return.
Baileys is a part of Dublin life. It has changed hands a few times yet it still retains much of its charm. A very nice place for a cup of coffee (several varieties) and a pastry. There's a good range of more substantial fare for the hungry visitor.
Queuing for a table and waiting to be served are the norm here. A great place to indulge in some people-watching while you wait.
On my last visit I was surprised to see a teabag in my Irish Breakfast teapot, despite the menu advising that all teas (bar one variety) are loose-leaf.
A really nice place to stop awhile, but only if you're not in a hurry.
Classic timeless Irish beauty is encapsulated in the food, the ambiance and the attentive waiters, I was treated like a lady here by my attentive butler/waiter
Overrated, overpriced and really bad service. Three different waiters attend us and all of them were really bad. Upset, as I was expecting something else from this place.
The scones with raspberry jam and cream are to try.
Average coffee. Below average scone. Crowded seating. Fussy staff. Over-priced.
Had to queue for 10 mins to get a table but it was worth it. Host showed us to our table. Nice atmosphere. Good strong coffee although a little expensive.
Bewley's restaurant on Grafton Street is worth a visit. Located in a beautiful historic building. It used to be the place to meet up. However, it's quite expensive since it was refurbished.
Had not been there since it re-opened
It is an institution. Great coffee. Thet are tea and coffee merchants. They still produce some of the old menu buns and cakes. And some new gorgeous stuff. The stained glass windows are great early 20th century works of art and have been carefully retained.
Good quality food and friendly service. If you are sweets fan so this is a must.
Good place for a coffee but a bit pricy tho since was rebuilt.
A super cozy place to have tea or coffee in the middle of the city on a rainy day. There can be queues but they aren't too long. The place is quite crowded at times too. The drinks were great, hot chocolate and caramel latte are superb. Service is a bit all over the place but not too bad. Would come back though.
Best breakfast ever. Have been here during every visit for over 20 years. Thank you!
Very elegant and impressive. Affordable fair prices like any other usual decent cafe. Amazing staff and yes they do not take reservations. Walk in and they will entertain you Beautifully even if there's a little waiting. I am glad I tried it! It's a definite return-to kinda place.
Came here with my 76-year old mother who used to pop in here on the regular 50 years ago before moving to the US. She was, at first, very sad by all the "posh" changes, but ultimately decided it's still lovely.
The French pastries are simply delicious! Having lived in France for 20 years, I was amazed to find pastries on Grafton Street in Dublin comparable to the finest I find on Rue Bonaparte in Paris.
Steeped history and tradition, yet warm in its welcome, Bewleys is a wonderful spot to pass an hour with friends, or simply to watch the world go by.
Located between traitors gate on one end of grafon St and we're molly Malone once stood on the other this shop is Dublin, I do not like the costumes they make the female staff wear thats why it only got four stars but I do like the propper soda bread with butter so nice I suspect they churn it in the back, tasty with a bit of jam also.
Only warm beverage establishment not functioning as a boarding house in the city were such a beautiful staple of the Irish eating experience can be got and enjoyed with a coffee or a tea.
Looks nice enough, nothing regal. Coffee was stone cold which kind of turned me off. My accompanying friend liked it however. Take or leave it.
Brilliant selection of food. Loved the breakfast and great service.
Took refuge here while there was a torrential downpour of rain on a Saturday afternoon. Pretty cool Dublin institution that has alot of history and good quality produce.
Had a tea and scone on a wet and cold day enjoyed it here
Good fancy place for dining. Food is good as their ambiance of oriental and classic interiors. It gets busy for dinner.
A place of wonderful memories and first time to call in after new opening 1 year now. Met all devine expectations with staff so friendly and that delicious wafting aroma of distinct Bewleys coffee mmmmmmm
The slowest service I have ever encountered. I aged while waiting for my coffee.
Great breakfast and coffee. The building is fantastic and a great experience.
Great atmosphere good food and friendly efficient staff
Lovely place to stop and have a tea or coffee. Best place to sit is upstairs overlooking Grafton Street.
Love the atmosphere here, and bring my children here every Christmas Eve for the Hot Chocolate as a treat!!
Zara looked after us very well! Enjoyed the newly renovated Bewleys returned to the style of my childhood visits in the 1960's and 70's
Beautiful surroundings, sadly bad service. Just young students and therefore not attentive at all. Playing around instead of serving the customers...
25minute waiting to be asked if we wanted anything, sitting in a cold draft.. had to just leave
If it looks busy stay away
How is this only 4.2? I'd give six stars if I could.
Most coffee/tea places in Ireland are tiny. This one is huge, and there's a reason for it. The selection of indulgent baked goods is mesmerizing. The coffees and teas are lovingly served with side items like candy eggs. The service is outstanding.
Even if you need to go a few blocks out of your way to get here, go.
Very unspecial menu , service is confusing to hit the bulls eye, its a little nicer to sit in than a regular cafe but to think this is some land mark or famous experience of a cafe i see how it was almost demolished from grafton street a regular brand store could replace it and i seriously wouldnt know the diffrence, coffee is no way special im sorry if its raining heavely it would make a good shelter
Beautiful venue but what was a comfortable historic place to enjoy a cup of tea and chat has now become pretentious and overall an unpleasant experience. Whilst I accept it's a busy time of year, having to queue to get into a queue for a table was ridiculous. It wasn't busy enough to warrant it and the whole thing seemed an affectation and unnecessary. The wait to order a cup of tea and subsequently pay our bill was interminable. When we became frustrated and went up to the the counter to pay, our waiter became rude and was more interested in making smart quips than customer service. Will not be returning
Absolute disgrace. The tea's were grand. But me and the g/f ordered 2 sandwiches. One was a beef roll at 7.95 and the other was a bewleys club sandwich at 9.95... now, with the beef roll, it was the smallest thing you ever did see. I had to give it more girth by robbing salad items of the g/f's plate. Definately not woth the money by far... very disappointed. ... with regard to the club sandwich, not bad for the size but very very dry. We had to order extra mayonnaise as no butter in the item. Secondly, the chicken was rather dry and can only be assumed it came out of those dried up packaged chicken pieces you get at the supermaket. Very disappointed with the place considering the history... very over priced.
Q at door to be seated.but moves quickly. Old world charm.like stepping back 100yrs. A little expensive but it was very nice.small theatre and exhibitions room upstairs.
Nice place however service is slow and portions are small in proportion to their prices. Tasty food. Very good coffee.
Great coffee, delicious bakery selection and great staff. If you're visiting Dublin you have to stop by this place! Gluten free options are available also. Sit and watch the city go by.
Bewleys Caffe, well what can I say about this place apart from the fact that a fantastic it's location for breakfast when you have a massive hangover and I mean not a normal hangover...!!
A nice pot of Rosie Lee to wash down the bacon, O yeah
A brasserie tea room. Good service. Quality sandwiches.
Great wee cafe food delicious. The only problem is you always have a wait to get table.
Crowded, waiters rushed, food only slightly better than average.
Overpriced for what you get. A real disappointment.
When you arrive Bewleys, decoration is beautifully luxurious and renovated. For this reason and its history I may understand this place is more expensive than other in Dublin. However, it is unacceptable to find extremely dirty presentation despite the good quality of the products. A real pity because I am not thinking about going back.
Looked every bit as good as it did 30 years ago. Amazing job on the restoration. The cake was out of this world. Unfortunately though they seem to have overlooked training their waiting staff.
The service is impeccable! The staff is friendly and the price is reasonable.
Poor food had to be sent back. Lovely surroundings but the old Bewleys is long gone
Very nice atmosphere we were here for Easter Sunday and our son really liked the face painting. My girlfriend really loves the decor and service.
How funny is it that I've walked Grafton street so many times, and missed this place? Anyway, my friend suggested this place for brunch and it's actually quite good. The sandwiches were delicious and we enjoyed our coffees too.
Amazing place. Old style cafe, serving all kinds of coffees and pastries.
Delicious coffee and a great breakfast. The pouched eggs with avocado is fantastic. Service is excellent we were also nicely supplemented the water. Despite the crowds, there was no pressure to make room for the next guests.
