I remember this place from years ago! Cherry logs, almond rings and SO much more. Place was packed but loads of room! And its still as great as years ago if not better! Lad serving was so nice. And funny.

It's a historic place...the quality of the food is excellent ..their is a nice view of the Grafton street if you choose the seating upstairs and it's good to go with family and friends ...I really enjoyed their desserts you will fall in love with the very first morsel in your mouth ...my favorite place for some authentic desserts in the streets of Grafton Dublin

Beautifully refurbished but not cheap. 13 for gluten free cake and almond milk latte. You are paying for prime Dublin location and the beautiful ambiance. They do afternoon theatre too but as I worked I haven't seen it although hear it's very good.

A Dublin institution...every European capital has one cafe which becomes the place to go to, a meeting place and a second home to its citizens..it's immune to big chains..there could be 25 or 250 Starbucks around it yet Bewley's remain the favourite by Dubliners

Absolutely lovely place, hadn't been there since I was a child in the 70's. Had a very tasty lunch there which was very good value considering it was table service. Food was very fresh and staff impeccably dressed. I would highly recommend the Winter salad.

The food there is tasty, and the restaurant is spacious. I love their decoration, they all look trendy and luxurious. Unfortunately, I accidentally found out everyone in the restaurant had a glass of water expect us. I asked the waiter for water, and still had waited for over ten minutes. Besides, everything was perfect, we quite enjoyed our dinner.

A must for both Dubliners and visitors to the city. It's not just a cafe but 'an experience'. All waitress table service but costing no more than Costa/Starbucks. Do try the sticky buns for which Bewleys is famed. Best tea and coffee in the city. Lunch options too if you're not just in for tea and buns. Ideal for adults and children. Ideal for adults who want an adult cup of coffee. A gem.

I got their special- mary cake and Danish pastry. I loved the Danish pastry. It's easily the best part I've had . The mary cake is so rich in flavor, you would be overwhelmed after a few bites. It tastes just like chocolate souffle cake from San Fransisco's tartine bakery

Friendly waiters however, ordered a Cappuccino, got a latte. No napkins provided, when asking for it, the waiter brings only 1 single napkin considering we are 3 people. Coffee is tasteless to be honest you are better off getting it to butlers at the corner of street.

Huge selection of delicious looking cakes and pastries. I can vouch only for the fruit scone, which was excellent. Good coffee to. The building itself has some magnificent stained glass windows, worth a visit just to see those.

I am sorry to hear that Bewleys is having to close it's doors for good. I know I gave it a very bad rating due to its appalling foreign staff who were entirely inappropriate to work here. I'm sorry for the Irishman welcoming and seating guests as his behaviour was entirely appropriate for Bewleys. It's a pity Bewleys had lost what it was famous for - traditional coffee and treats and good old fashioned service. Lovely old building had changed little from its origins but I was horrified by the behaviour of the waitresses and others (mainly foreign) 'working' there when I visited recently.
Enough said! Different management, properly trained staff could have saved Dublin's best known cafe. Unfortunately it didn't happen!

Much nicer experience now that they've gone to sit down only. Like the French influence on the cakes and food. Still think it's finding its feet a little bit again but overall definitely worth a visit if only to see how things have changed compared to their old tray service

This place is an "institute" in Dublin, apparently. The place looks nice, but that's all. There's often a queue, which is completely ridiculous for a mediocre tea or coffee. The shrimp-cocktail sauce sandwich was dry and tasteless. When I asked for more sauce or butter "it wasn't possible because it's made downstairs" - no clue what that means, but it doesn't sound good and didn't make it better.
Besides that it's terribly overpriced too. Do not go.

Fantastic place to stop in for a bite to eat, a sip of tea or a catch up with a pal. Their heated scones are delicious and tea is always on the button. Can be busy but you will never have to wait too long.

Great to be able to use this historic landmark.

Cold food, inept staff. We were kept waiting in a line for a seat even though half the restaurant was empty. Very poor indeed. We ask for a small dish of baked beans for an 11 month old and they tried to charge us EUR5.50 for it. When the cold food was replaced they did not give us cutlury. No one apologized for the cold food. Overall a very disappointing experience. On the plus side the coffee was nice but really over priced at Eur 4.20. Sort out the service guys really not becoming of such a Dublin institution.

Cozy place, ideal to go with children, groups, accompanied or just .. the different cozy corners invite you to spend a long time, especially if it is cold. In one of the most commercial areas of Dublin.

We enjoyed the food. We were a group of four and had a great time, eating, drinking coffee and tea. Nice family place. Cozy and lively at the same time. I remember that the chocolate cake with the expresso was very good! One of our group member is vegan and was able to eat with us.

Elegant and refined place in the center of Dublin. It offers an excellent variety of coffees, hot drinks and herbal teas accompanied by excellent pastry desserts. Excellent Mary is the tradition of the place. Also available some dishes for a quick lunch. Friendly staff and prices in line with the premises of the center.

Turned up 1220 with my wife and son ,my son and myself choosing egg and avocado breakfast sharply due to them only serving till 1230 for breakfast leaving my wife who is vegan to choose. After several conversations with waitress we were informed they had no vegan options what so ever which in this day of age is pretty scandalous unless she waited 30m for them to start serving lunch where she may get a salad zero effort made and seemed surprised we canceled our order expecting us to eat and let my wife have nothing.it would have taken very slight effort to sort the situation but none was forthcoming so very poor show.
