Everytime I come to a show here I'm never disappointed. The bands selected to play are great. The venue is so clean and well organized. The staff is friendly. I have never and probably will never have a bad experience here.

We visited in anticipation of attending a future concert and found that it delivers on time travel. The museum really is focused on 60s life and counterculture. The memories came pouting back -- the music, personalities, issues. The weather was spectacular and sitting on the edge of the festival area was renewing. You could almost hear the greats echo through the decades.

Best outdoor concert venue!! Wide variety of food and beverages-On the pricey side.. It s to be expected at a concert venue. Chair rental available, can be reserved ahead of time. Premium parking is an extra cost. I would suggest reserving ahead of time.. It sells out quickly

Most boring light show I've ever watched. We drove 90 minutes there and the light show is only about 5 minutes drive, very little to see. I've been to many different light shows, such as the ocean city's winter fest and Hershey's sweet light. This one can't even compare to those! Not close! They have the audacity to charge $20 (I was charged $30 because I went there on Thanksgiving day) which is puzzling. I hate to say this but this is even worse than driving through my neighborhood and watch the christmas lights put on by the residents, and it cost nothing.

This place is where it all began: peace, love and happiness!! What a great venue, all the staff are genuinely happy to help and very friendly. The place itself is super clean and very easy to figure out logistically. There is lawn seating as well as well as pavilion sections. This place has an awesome and chill vibe, just sit back relax and enjoy some good tunes.

Only complaint is the drive in is like playing frogger
Pedestrians and bad drivers everywhere out in Sullivan county
Signs and stop lights are merely suggestions in bethel

The grounds were super well maintained, and the setting was peaceful. I was here for Mountain Jam which I found considerably underwhelming, but it seems unfair to rate this place on the quality of the concert. I guess everything just felt much smaller than I was expecting.

A great place to see your favorite artists/Bands perform live. I've traveled from CT on a night of a upcoming Hurricane Irene to see Stevie Nicks perform there .It was nice that the venue arrange to have Stevie start her show an hour earlier then scheduled to get over earlier for our safety before the heavy winds came in later that night. After a great show .I got home safe in one piece...

Tribute to Woodstock? Really?

Tribute to Woodstock? Really?

Beautifully manicured, tightly controlled, and nauseatingly commercial "big-box" entertainment.

This is MSG with green grass and hills, and $30-$60 T-shirts, "Hendrix Burgers", the "Hungry Hippie" food stand, $13 beers, and zero soul or respect for the problems, thoughts, and feeling of the era they reap profit from. But then, this was brought to you by billionare Alan Gerry (think: Cablevision corp), and $15 million in taxpayer funding.

So this was my second visit - James Taylor, last night - had lawn seats (first was to visit the "woodstock" museum, which was disturbingly sterile but nothing like the "concert") . Seems the proprietor is cash hungry and had no problem overselling seats. We got there at gate opening, and ended up in a spot that was over a ridge from the stage. You could see the roof of the stage, and sometimes, occasionally, a bit of a very nice LED screen that had a very nice picture of ... probably... James Taylor. Perhaps if we were 40 feet closer we would have had different impressions.

Sound quality was hollow, I'm sure the band was spectacular, maybe I'll catch a replay on Cablevision... what's the chance of that?

The show and set list - well to his credit Mr Taylor had a laugh on that - he noted that it was "surprisingly a list of my biggest hits", with a sardonic tone. He sounded like he really did want to be there and give his best to the audience. Reason I was there is James has been able to channel dimensions of emotion and stellar musicianship for... near half a century, and I'll always stop to listen for something I missed in "Belfast to Boston" or cuts from One Man Dog, or "only a Dream in Rio" ... well none of these made the cut.

I can't see a reason to return to Bethel Woods - other complaints about the good seats being controlled by scalpers seem to be true - I did try to avoid the cheap seats, really did want to see James, but I gagged on the prices I was seeing - skywards of 300$.

Other Thoughts:
They didn't charge for the ketchup - it was Heinz, but they ran out at the stand.
If anything, the "preferred" parking is one awesome parking lot. Kudos to Alan on that one.
They didn't charge for the soap for cleanup at the port-o-sans, but they ran out of that too.

... maybe there is a slight echo of Woodstock. If only they'd airlifted in some Heinz.

My husband got tickets for my birthday and I was so very excited! We paid for preferred parking, and had to get redirected, twice because staff wasn't listening when we told them (and showed them) we were upgraded parking. Once we parked, we headed to the "No Bags" line and it actually took longer than the screening lines because of only one person handling the area. Again, nothing major, just a note. We got inside, found our seats and we truly enjoyed the experience but we noted that just 5 seats to our right, the people were very unhappy, they were stuck behind the cameras and couldn't see. When buying a ticket, "obstructed view" should be noted but it wasn't for them. Pentatonix was amazing and when they sang their finale, it was incredible to see everyone turning on their phones as flashlights. Exiting was not an issue, they direct traffic out in two directions to avoid major backups. Overall, we had an incredible time. Bethel Woods is an amazing experience whether you are sitting in the paid seats or on the lawn area.

Neither my wife nor I will ever attend another event here. Its bad enough it took almost 5 hours of travel but between the long walk to our seats, first row on the grass from the stage but we never got to see anyone on the stage for more than a minute or 2. The only monitor we could see was blocked by some idiot the last half the show. I could have stayed home and enjoyed a dvd or 2. Our bus was not allowed to park where they dropped us off but about 1/2 mile away and nobody(the staff) knew where it was. I had to hitch a ride with security as I can only walk a couple hundred yards at at time.
