BestSelf has helped me regain self control and confidence in my life. The many tools available such as DBT and Club West are valuable assets for enhancing my life. My therapist and psychiatrist are also the biggest aids for recovery. They are the best of BestSelf!!!
I ve been going to therapists for 15+ years and have been at Best Self for about 4 yrs now. I ve never had a bad experience with Best Self. The thing I found different about their therapists is they truly try to help you grow as a person and give you tools on how to cope with situations and understand why you react the way you do. I ve been to therapists where they just sit and listen, and I felt better after venting but I wasn t growing as a individual. My only advice to anyone seeking therapy is BE PATIENT, and not every therapist is going to be the best for you, try different therapists until you find someone you mesh with and truly feel comfortable talking to and feel they understand you. I m so grateful for the team I have at Best Self now and really feel they ve made a difference in my mental health.
I've been a client of the substance abuse program at Best Self since it was Lakeshore Behavioral Health, and I would recommend the facility to anybody that is struggling with substance abuse and wants to better themselves and better their life by getting clean. The staff is extremely kind and respectful and the counselors are outstanding. I've been a patient in multiple methadone clinics and, by far I would recommend Best Self's clinic over the others. Most days it is quick compared to any other clinic. Overall great facility
The nurses and staff are very cool! Don't expect to wait long after your appointment time.
The staff here are ALL outstanding, from the check in employees to counselors to check out. I would give it 5stars, but for the fact that the intake process could be more accommodating. I saw ppl that needed the help sit, waiting patiently for 3-4hrs, hoping to see a counselor, but had to leave because their child was coming home from school. It's tough to get in, but after that, excellent!
Before coming here, we were struggling with finding and keeping a good counselor for our grandson. He is not one for change a lot and had a hard time opening up. But once we got in with the most amazing counselor and therapist here, he's been doing pretty good all around. Thumbs up and keep shinning. And thank you for all that you all do!
If I am being 100% honest, Best Self has saved my life. The entire staff has been patient with me, trusted me, and given me so many connections to the right people I needed to help me. My main counselor(she needs a raise) gave me the recommendation to another counselor who helped me get out of an abusive relationship(she specializes in that area).
My life has completely changed in a good way. I know there is still a lot to deal with in the near future but I know best self is always there. I can't say anything negative. I wouldn't trade them in for anyone.
The staff and counselors are knowledgeable. They provide information that is helpful for a difficult situation and provide support. If someone is not available there is someone that is also reliable that is able to do the same thing. I m not disappointed with someone that has my chart and can give me something that is helpful rather than sugar coating it to lead me into other things. I m quite impressed and I m happy with my decision. Information that is helpful to become my Best Self is quite impressive!!!!
I have been a client with Best Self since 2018 and they have made a huge difference in my life. All the staff are courteous, kind and professional. The groups they have are practical, useful and thought-provoking. They give great assistance, but also encourage clients to be independent and proactive about their mental health. Best Self, counselors and physicians saved my life. The staff is very kind, caring, respectful, understanding and will help you with any problems in your life. A dedicated staff works to help you get where you want to be. Been involved for 5 years now. Will keep up my appointments for the foreseeable future. I always recommend Best Self to those individuals seeking help. Been to other places and they don't compare to the services and staff offered.
