Beam is a scam insurance

I have been paying for this insurance going on a year now, I have gone to the dentist for one cleaning and to replace a cap on my tooth that was done about 8+ years prior. I was told by my dentists office that my insurance would cover half the cost upwards of $750 dollars so I paid the other half. Almost a year later I am now getting called by my dentists office stating they just can not get Beam to pay for anything. Beam agent Trey keeps asking for additional information stating they can not approve the payment until we provide the requested information and myself and the dentist office follow through and provide what they are asking for every time. However, after we provide documentation, that they asked for, they tell us yet again that they still need something else to approve it. This company is a joke and you are wasting your money paying for insurance that you will never be able to actually use. It would literally be cheaper if I had just paid out of pocket for the service as it now looks like I will be doing that anyways plus a year of insurance payments.

Highly do not recommend this company. I was briefly employed with Beam and learned quickly how poorly managed and unprofessional management is. I was called on my personal cell phone and spoken to in a very inappropriate and rude manner by someone, but the entire reason was due to their system errors. Which is also another problem as their systems run very poorly and have many errors that make doing your job very hard. Things changed very quickly without notice, for example; During training we were advised that we would start taking phone calls on a Tuesday the following week, working until 8pm. Thursday of the current week came along and we were then advised we would be taking phone calls that Monday instead, This conflicted with an interview I had scheduled for a second-part time job as I was told it would be Thursday we would start working until 8pm. I advised my trainer of this, my trainer then went to management and told them I was seeking other employment, after that occurrence management had put me into a meet to ask me what I was doing. This upset me as it was not in my opinion their concern as if I were leaving the company I would be placing a two week notice. I then advised I would just go ahead and place a two week notice because that made me very uncomfortable. After a few more attempts to find out if I was leaving the company and the nasty phone call I received I placed my two weeks and was told I did not have to work those two weeks. Once I placed my two week notice I was then asked if I could in-fact work because they needed help, this was after I had already been informed I was not required to work my remaining two weeks. If I was not careful or reached out to HR I would have also been shorted my final paycheck, as management did not enter the hours for my two weeks. I am very glad I left that place and do not recommend it to anyone.

Not good dental insurance, steer clear....my company switched over dental plans because well beam is cheaper and all the paperwork and information we got said even if our dentist is out of network the coverage would be the same. Imagine my surprise when getting a $270 bill for having a filling redone. Now here is what beam does not tell you, the do cover the 80% of minor work and 100% of preventative but they only cover those percentages out of what they allow to pay towards the actual billed item. In my case they only allowed $131 for a filling, $42 for and exam and $16 for an x-ray. Now out of the figures they allow based on what they say is the average cost (ha that s just a lie) that is what the 80-100% come out of. Did I mention none of this or their figures are on any of their information I signed off on. I m currently appealing these charges which you can t even talk directly to anyone about because of what I was told are legal reasons. To me this is honestly bait and switch and borderline illegal business practices. This seems to be a new company more focused on selling their smart toothbrushes than insurance. I sincerely hope they go out of business.

Working in a dental office I have much experience working with dental insurance companies. Beam by far is the easiest and most efficient to work with.

Employees are always friendly and knowledgeable, claims are paid quickly and contacting with them has been a breeze!

I highly recommend Beam! Whether you need insurance or are a dentist wanting to contract with them they are hands down the best!

My experience with Beam Dental is from a dental professional stand point. We have had nothing but positive interactions with this company. We are not in their network but they still pay our fees at the respective percentages. They are very careful to keep their clients' (our patients) information secure and private. Of all the dental companies I deal with, I have never had a company take privacy so seriously as Beam Dental does. I keep hoping they will offer private policies to individuals so that I may recommended Beam to our patients that request recommendations.

I have had Beam for about one year. I had a standard root canal over a month ago and I STILL have not gotten back the $1600 I paid out of pocket. Their system is incredibly inefficient. I have called and emailed with various team members nearly every other day. Each time I speak with someone, they have an excuse as to why I still haven't received a check but no one is getting anything done. The two people I have communicated with the most are Cat and McKenzie who both promise it will be resolved soon yet here we are, over a month after my service and no one has resolved my case. So terribly frustrating.

I can't say enough good things about my experience with Beam Dental. From the very beginning I felt I had made the right decision choosing them. The support team has been extremely response and helpful whenever I have questions. It's a great way to get rewarded for something I already do multiple times a day. I would highly recommend them to friends and family!

As a benefits broker I couldn't be happier with Beam Dental. They are an amazing solution for my clients. Beam has a robust national network of providers, waives all waiting periods for new groups AND new hires! Best part is that they provide each employee with a Bluetooth enabled toothbrush that when used can actually LOWER the cost of coverage at renewal. When was the last time your insurance bill went down? Also, every 3 months enrolled employees get "Beam Perks" which provides a care package of free tooth paste, floss and new brush heads direct to each employee. Their technology is super easy to use and their customer support is second to none. Best part, their pricing is super competitive.

Absolutely terrible. They use a scam company called P&R Dental that just simply denies valid claims with little to no explanation. When you call asking for clarification they tell you to file an appeal. Okay. So I contact my dentist and periodontist who go through and put together letters written explaining why the denial does not even make sense, send that in on my behalf, and the claims are just denied again with the same reason as if they never even took the time to read what was sent in. Their response? Submit another appeal. This is a scam and borderline illegal.. I am now out $3k for services that Beam told me would be covered, and that should be covered. Avoid this company!
