Excellent function location for a 90th birthday celebration,!

Absolutely lovely, the staff are fantastic, the food is gorgeous, the hotel is beautiful deserving of it's 4 stars would recommend to anyone.

Really nice atmosphere, the rooms are big and decorated really nicely. It's quiet and clean and the staff are all friendly and good at their jobs.

The food in the restaurant was excellent and they have a good selection of wines. I would not hesitate to stay here again.

I stayed here with my husband over the Easter weekend. Our room was spacious , and beautifully decorated. The service received was very professional. The breakfast we had the next morning was lovely. We will be returning back in the future.

Date week commencing 27 November 2017 -Having stayed at this hotel before for a whole week. I was unpleasantly surprised to see the ignorance displayed by a member of staff Jemma Herrald when I greeted her with a friendly " Hello " and a smile. Not only did she look at me with a frosty stare but when I repeated the hello she stared straight through me on a second occasion as if I were a ghost no words no smile nothing. Prior to me greeting her at reception which at the very least she should have initiated to me as a guest; there were at least 4 members of staff "working" something out and discussing amongst themselves before I was even acknowledged. No apology, no warm greeting nothing. Disgusting customer service !! As other people were spoken to with some respect....everyone I repeat everyone should be treated the same. The only reason for my stay was for a Corporate function otherwise I would never ever choose to stay here until consistency and fairness is in their DNA especially displayed by the ignorant receptionist Jemma Herald.

Lovely modern room & lots of character in the hotel

I attended the Winter Wonderland evening dinner and disco yesterday evening. We were a group of work colleagues from a local retail business. I would like to highly praise the fantastic and friendly waiting and bar staff! They really looked after us and made us feel welcome. The dinner was delicious too, I had the salmon starter, and turkey dinner. The after dinner disco was pitched just right. Thank you to all the Stone Manor staff. Amanda Shapter

I went for a team event- we used the conference room and the grounds, nd had a lovely lunch. A beautiful venue with great staff and fab facilities.

We had a sparkling afternoon tea for two it was absolutely lovely and a wonderful treat for us as newlyweds

First time at Stone Manor for Christmas lunch and loved it! Staff were friendly and welcoming. Nothing was too much trouble. Christmas lunch was excellent with no lengthy waiting periods. A really positive experience. We would recommend it for next year and will be visiting again next year.

What a fantastic overnight stay! The room was spacious, modern and seemingly recently renovated. Bathroom again was large, clean and high quality. After letting them know we were bringing a child under 1, the staff went over and above to make our stay comfortable. A provided travel cot, baby soap and extra towels really made a difference.

Absolutely delightful. The service was fantastic. The bathroom was exactly what we needed , with a luxurious tub bath and walk in shower.
The meals were wonderful. Couldn't be happier.

Beautiful building, large yet cosy and very well appointed. Attentive staff, large car park.

Beautifully refreshed old manor. Really lovely room, bathroom, bar, restaurant, grounds - the list goes on! Great breakfast. Dinner not so great (fish and chips). Only downside was that my colleagues car was broken into overnight. The lesson is park as close to the front door as you can and leave nothing on show.

After phoning ahead too insure they did VEGAN food we arrived too a long wait ,no vegan just vegitarian that they offered too adjust, others in the party had fish and chips and it was over ten pounds each portion,the total bill was outrageous.can not recommend, it was overrated,and felt as though non hotel users were an intrusion.

Visited here recently for a family meal. I brought along my son who has autism. Notified the manager beforehand. My son did a lot of fast walking around the bar which was fine(he was excited) but as soon as we moved through to the restaurant area he ran past a waiter who I saw clearly moan to another customer before looking at me angrily and asking "Is he with you, Can you sit him down?". Felt like i'd been told off.
Obviously I removed our son from the restaurant with no fuss. I was pretty embarrassed to be honest at a situation which could have been dealt with in a nicer way.

I completely get that this is not the kind of restaurant where a three year old can just run around ( I was with him every step of the way and didn't leave him on his own).

In a customer facing role I believe you should be prepared to deal with a situation like this with a bit more sensitivity and understanding rather than an outward look of anger and clear frustration.It can be very isolating raising a child with autism and he only made this all the more clear to me.

Hopefully other families with children that have additional needs feel welcome in this restaurant in future.

Used this for a wedding weekend brilliant rooms friendly staff excellent food and service.

Absolutley Amazing place from start to finish. All the staff were very polite, welcoming and professional. Checked in to a stunning room full of character with a huge bed and mega bath. Went for dinner at restaurant which again was top quality all the way through. The food was great value for money. We had breakfast include in our price so we took full advantage of the breakfast in bed service which again was super! My only slight niggle was that the shower wasn't the most powerful however its not the worst I've had and not too much of a problem. Other than that the place is HIGHLY recommend! So much so We are already planning our next trip there!

Hogarth was okay but essentially just a travel lodge with better decor. The bedrooms are a warren of thinly walled rooms where all neighbouring sounds are very clear which was a shame. The other main fault was a restaurant which was cold. A lovely fire in the bar but our table remained below a comfortable temperature all evening which rather spoiled what could otherwise have been a very nice meal. I won't be returning.

As a photographer I was granted access to all the areas the happy couple were having there wedding. Beautiful settings cannot wait to get snapping on the day!

Afternoon tea... Sunday 25th March

Visited with friends the food was outstanding such a wonderful variety and high standard.
Have visited several times for dinner or afternoon tea and two wonderful weddings but the first time I have felt the need to need comment.

I would of dearly loved to give 5 stars except several of us found the service was a little lacking on this occasion. No table check and no one came to ask if we required a tea top up which I personally would of liked. There was also errors with the bill which came to light just after we had paid. Although sorted.

Having said all that you were very very busy which I do accept but clearly not enough staff cover.

Yesterday I visited Marco Pierre White which was absolutely awful from mediocre food at best and awful awful service and this made me appreciate how wonderful your food and usual service is.

Had a delicious afternoon tea at Stone Manor today with my daughter and her mother-in-law. The staff were very attentive and the food was absolutely gorgeous. What a lovely afternoon. Thank you.
