Best Western Executive Plaza and Conference Center Review

The conference area was very tight for 250 people. The room was warm due to the high number of people shoved in a small space. The lunch that was served was very good.

Our family stayed while in town for a baseball tournament on March 5th. When making the reservation via phone call, we were told the pool was open and would be available for our boys to swim. We were pleased to receive a small discount due to so many players' families booking rooms. However, when we arrived to check in, we were informed that the pool would be closed until 10pm due to a private party. As you can imagine, this was a huge disappointment to all the kids on our team (and the other guests, as well), who had planned on spending the evening in the pool. The lady at the front desk did give us a $25 credit towards our bill, which was appreciated. After arriving back to the hotel after leaving for dinner, our kids were ecstatic to learn that the pool would be opening earlier than anticipated. Our room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was good. We were slightly disappointed that when we were seated at the restaurant for breakfast, we were given a regular menu and not told that there are only two choices included in our room rate, even though our free breakfast pass was on the table and visible. I have two suggestions for the hotel: First, don't rent the pool space out when you have a full hotel, especially knowing that the majority of the rooms are full of children. Second, have the restaurant staff be upfront about what is included with the room rate and what is extra. I imagine several people have been tricked into buying items they assumed were free.

Staff was very helpful. Rooms were clean, but there is one major problem. The main lights work on a motion sensor. So, if you get up in the middle of the night, the lights come on whether you want it or not, and wake up your room mate. There is no way to disable this, we were told by the staff. Shower had great water pressure. The wifi was easy to access, but very slow.

Nice hotel. Great deal for the price. Room was your ordinary hotel room...no frills but clean. Would recommond for those on a tight budget but still want to stay some where nice.

I was only there to pick up a passenger from the shuttle from Indianapolis, it was right on time.

We had extensive difficulty with the room keys. Front desk staff was always courteous and did what they could to resolve the issues. I finally decided to talk to the manager. He, too, was very pleasant and while we were out he sent maintenance to fix it. All in all this is a very nice establishment.

We surprised my 5 kiddos with a night trip to buccaneers bay!! Kids loved it, but life guard who was running water slide paid more attention to his phone then he did the kids!! There was kids smaller than 48 inches going down the slide! The was Kids blocking the slide and ppl was crashing into other kids when coming out of the big yellow water slide ( very unsafe) need more grown up life guards and less teen boys running these things! At one point the life gaurd told my son who is 10 to go kick someone out of there ummm NO NOT MY SONS JOB!!!! Then we spent over $200 to stay here to find out that we didn't get a free complimentary breakfast with having 5 kids it's a must have!! We was on the 5th floor room 502 ppl slamming doors ice machine heard all night long and also the balcony door won't lock which is very unsafe with having 5 kids Ages 4-12 in this room!!!!.... anyways we are super disappointed!!! next time I think I will spend the extra 100 and go to French lick indoor water park!!!@

Despite the new coat of paint on the outside of the building, this is a very old property that obviously hasn't had a renovation in decades. Most parts of the hotel scream 1980s, but then I discovered the harvest gold tile shower stall. That was long out of style by the 1980s, so this facility is older than that. Old red carpet in the room left the bottoms of my feet brown after just one hour. My room had two beds, and one of them had brown hair, yellow stains, and particles of filth on the sheets from the previous guest. Washing the sheets between guests is about all I really expect from housekeeping, and they clearly failed to even do that. Good thing I wasn't traveling with my wife, as her cleanliness standards are higher than mine.

I took some photos of the lack of cleanliness and general decor and uploaded them here with my review. The stock photos the hotel has posted on Google look 30 years newer than the room I stayed in. Look at my photos and see if you notice a discrepancy.

The night I stayed, there was a loud party going on outdoors with at least 20 people setting up chairs on the grass outside and yelling into the night. Management quieted the party, but it still speaks to the clientele at this hotel - large groups like ball teams looking for lots of rooms on the cheap. Other parts of the stay were okay, but this hotel is very much below average, yet they charge average prices. No free breakfast either, which most hotels include at this price point. I did not visit the water park, and will not return to do so.

Professional staff, clean and nice rooms, no complaints to speak of.

This is not a 3 star hotel. The only thing updated in the guest room within the last decade was the TV. The beds and pillows were uncomfortable. The thermostat couldn't keep an even temp. The hotel staff was nice and the room was clean.

Terrible, tried calling a number of times and seems like no one answers. They charged my card a month and a half before I was scheduled to stay and when I canceled my reservation it took over a week to have the charges credited to my account, I had to call them and my bank numerous times to get it straightened out

Decent rooms, they closed the pool for a private party. No bad for the money.

The room was very dated & not very clean. Our sink was plugged, the toilet didn't flush very well, and it was hard to get the bathroom door to stay shut. They did have someone come up so the sink would drain.

Maybe with some room updating it could get back to being a 3 star.

It's a decent hotel. I been in worse. Just more old fashioned, if I could have picked a different hotel I would. Had kind of a musty smell, employees at the desk aren't very welcoming. Whole building reminded me of the movie The Shining.

The room was very nice, the all you could eat breakfast was amazing. The swimming and hot tub area was very relaxing. I had a wonderful experience.

We were very disappointed with the experience of our stay here. From about 11pm to 6am the noise level there was so high that it kept us up all night. The pile driving would go on for about 30 minutes and stop. Just as we were falling asleep it would start back up. If we would have been told that this was going to happen we would have found a different hotel far away. Otherwise the room was clean.

On the plus side, this is the only hotel I've been to where the wireless network is just on and open; no annoying hoops/splash page. That was nice.

Everything else was below average. Nothing new since the 70s. Terrible restaurant (which mentions it's award winning... must have won the "worst coffee in Indiana award). Warm AC and cold hot water.

Staff was nice... but over all, I'll be staying somewhere else next time.

Enjoyed the food and service. Good place for work function!

Room was clean, could use better maintenance. Missing cover on outlet behind toilet, toilet paper holder broken.

Awesome experience, staff was friendly and very helpful. Rooms were clean and housekeeping was great in keeping up the room.

The accommodations met my standards. Price was fair.
