There's not many used car dealerships out there that you can trust, but Bernard Motorcar is that exception! No complaints at all, they are a pleasure to deal with and I would recommend them to anyone looking for a good car for a great deal.

Bob and Brian were so great! Very friendly and negotiable! I got the paper work for my Durango done and was out of the lot in less than an hour. I m so glad I bought from here and didn t fiddle around with a big dealer who charge an arm and a leg for unnecessary fees! Definitely recommend coming here!

Once we were there, test drove the 2012 limited edition Maxima, and about 30 minutes later, we were out the door and on our way with my new vehicle. I ve purchased many cars in the past couple years. This dealership is always one I check, as they have always had a great selection of vechiles. Just recently purchased a Hyundai Genesis that was in great condition, well competitively priced, and the process from start to finish was very smooth and quick - they handled finances, paperwork, and all the other frustrations that come with purchasing a car. Great dealership, highly recommend.

We bought a 2007 Dodge Dakota. It was a pleasant experience; very smooth and non stressful. We worked with Bob and he got us a great deal for our trade-in and for our budget. I will definetly be telling others about my experience and I hope to work with them in the future.

This experience was totally my WORST ever. This was my 1st and last time EVER buying a truck from what I call a "moms and pop dealer". I've only had my truck for not even 6 months and it has been a complete lemon. It's been in the shop for at least 4 times costing me thousands to only have to turn right around to put a motor in it. I called the owner Bob and he was very uncaring about my situation. All he stated was he did an oil change when he got it and something but that there was nothing wrong w the motor. Which CLEARLY was a LIE!!!! After 3 months of having my truck I had to get a motor after one month of having it I had to spend $1,000 on something else with my truck. These people are CLEARLy CROOKS. They do not car about the people only about getting there pockets fatter.

I was very thankful for Bernard Motorcar helping me in a situation in which I didn't think I was able to get financed or even drive a car. They treated me like I was a valued customer and not a typical "buy here Pay here" one where you basically get what they give you.

Just recently purchased a 2010 Chrysler Sebring Convertible. So far, so good. Brian and Bod are outstanding communicators and business individuals. The purchasing transaction did not take long. My wife and I bought a car not to long ago, like 3 weeks ago and we thought that it was good because of the low mileage and the price were low. The vehicle was a Ford Fiesta 2011 SE hatchback at first the vehicle was running good but after 3 weeks the check engine light went on and I took it to shop to be diagnosed and the mechanic told us that the Catalytic was clogged and burned. I'm not after them but just to let you know my experience I guess you GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR.

I bought a truck from here a year ago thankfully the truck is still running after 3 months the truck had all kinds of issues like an exhaust leak that I said it had in the first place when I got there and they assured me it was not so I took it anyway, my fault, but when I called they did not care at all and now I m still currently stuck with the truck because I took a loan for it and the only way I can get rid of it is if I trade for something else they have which Im not ver confident in doing. so I have to pay off a 12000$ loan for a complete and total lemon HOW DID I MISS ALL THE ZIP TIES!!!! when looking at the truck. complete trash also had a weld on it because it was previously WRECKED which was not on the car fax

Gave me a great deal on a 2012 Dodge Charger. Bob was great and made the transaction very smooth with no nonsense.

Not only were we lowballed for the trade-in, but we were charged and extra percentage fee for having our own financing.
It seemed like a really great deal on the car, so we went with it.
..... But he never bothered to check the transmission (he told us he "wasnt a car guy like that" when we called) and when we went in to replace the barely-there brakes a month later we had to spend over 4k rebuilding the lines and stuff that had "chunks" of metal tearing them up.

Brian let us test drive several vehicles and the experience was a breath of fresh a air - no pushy salesman in the passenger seat and no pushy sales gimmicks. Just my wife, daughter, and I test driving a few vehicles. Once we found the car we liked, the purchase process was quick and easy - it took less than 15 minutes. This was the best car buying experience we have ever had. Bernard Motorcars makes it easy by providing Carfax reports on good vehicles with great prices and no dealer fees or hidden fees. We plan on visiting again when it is time to purchase our next vehicle.

Were do I begin, Well these guys are friendly patient and understanding. Far more then the average car dealer. They patiently listened to our concerns answered all are question and was encouraging at every step of the car buying process. Did I not mention that this was our 3ed time buying a car from them? Best experience I've ever had at a car dealership, great customer service.

You get what you pay for. Didn't even get out of the dealership before running into complications (car wouldn't start without manipulating the battery posts). Didn't make it a full 6 days before the check engine light, ABS light and skid control light came on, and the car started going into limp mode. Drivers side ball joint was so deteriorated that I could move it back and forth with one finger when jacked up. Didn't make it 10 months without blowing a head gasket, and now the car is immobile. BUT, they offered a 90-day warranty that I was unable to take advantage of because of the "deal" they gave me. They worked within my budget and got me payments I could afford at the time and in reasonable terms. They financed an amount that is generally too low to finance. They'll help you get into a car, but safety is not a priority and these cars are fixed just enough to pass inspection and not with the most quality parts, so definitely beware. But they will do whatever they can to help you get a car.

Bob and Brian are both great to work with and went out of their way to make buying a car for my daughter a positive transaction. Buying a car at many dealers is about as fun as getting your wisdom teeth surgically extracted, but not with Bernard Motorcar Company. The people and process are both no pressure and enjoyable. We had a great conversation about the vehicle and they answered all of my questions, took care of my concerns and needs, and gave me a great deal on a gently used car that my daughter absolutely loves. Finally, I also saved no less than $700 compared to purchasing a car in NC due to no state required paperwork fees that aren't required in SC. After moving to NC from another state that didn't have all these fees I was shocked that on a used vehicle or new vehicle of how much these fees cost. Bernard's fees are very minimal to just process the title paperwork, and on top of that, the paperwork process took less than 15 minutes. I would recommend buying your next car from Bernard, and I would buy another car from Bernard when I need one!

I probably should do a one star review, but I chose to do a 2 star because I don't think these guys are malicious at all. I just don't think they take the care to really take a good look at their vehicles as they should. In mid-February I bought a 2007 Nissan Murano from Bernard, after doing a whole lot of research on the Murano in general, and checking out the Carfax specifically. On June 17 (almost 4 full months after purchase) the transmission died, to the tune of a $6000 repair bill. Basically I would be paying what I payed for the car originally. I've never had a used vehicle die on me so quickly (and I've purchased my fair share of used vehicles). I've lost approximately seven or eight thousand dollars, which upsets me. It means that I paid approximately $1750 per month for this vehicle, which is a lot for a Nissan. I have tried to call to see if I could recoup any portion of my loss, only to have had no follow ups, and no calls from this business. I appreciate that when I purchased it, I purchased it as is, but when a vehicle only lasts you four months (and breaks down in the middle of your vacation with your small children in the back), I believe that a company with family values would at least offer some token to try to make it right. Especially one that relies so much on word of mouth. This may not be the best place to purchase a vehicle, and I have learned my lesson in purchasing from small dealerships like this.

I didn't buy a vehicle from this company but I like the fact that Their straightforward especially the part about financing because people will shotgun your credit meaning send it to multiple companies knowing that they can't get you financed! Which will lower your credit rating and chances to get financing elsewhere. Kudos to you!

The thought of purchasing used cars for my 2 "fairly new to the road" sons, was stressful for me in that I didn't want to spend thousands of dollars on something they would probably "dog" but wanted it to be reliable enough to get back and forth and safe.
