We had an issue whereas water was coming into our outside storage facility. Berks Fire Water Restoration came in and sent me a proposal and completed the work within a 3 day period. The situation that it happened sucked, but the experience with BFWR was awesome!! I would recommend them and use them again every time!
We were hit by a major storm and called in the national restoration companies who took way to long to respond and ended up being way too expensive for the services they were offering in relation to Berks FWR. Their pricing seemed to be predicated on scare tactics or on the customer's emotional state due to an emergency.
Another issue with the national companies is that they only do the front end of the restoration, leave the area and then recommend you get a local company to actually do the restoration.
I'm saying all of this because Berks was referred to me by a neighbor and I'm so glad they did. From Brian to John to Jesse to Bruce and Denny and everyone in-between; they were all professional, courteous, on time and extremely proficient in their area of expertise!
Their pricing for the emergency or front end part of the project was reasonable and a lot less than the national companies. They are a local company stationed in the Montgomery County area of PA; so they were vested in helping you through the process and not just collecting a check.
They were stretched out due to the storm but made us feel like we was a priority and walked us through each step with dignity, understanding and patience. They did not drag out the restoration and got the job done in a reasonable timeframe with reasonable pricing.
Of course, we hope to never have to use their services again; but in case of emergency, we will call Berks first because they can be trusted to answer the call and get the job done well!

Berks did a superb job restoring our lower level after extensive water damage. Vince and Rit were exceptional in scheduling repairs with top quality people. Everyone was professional in doing their job and answered any questions/concerns we had as the repairs were made. All we had to do was "sit back" and let them do their job. Thanks Berks!!

Berks Fire & Water was recommended by my insurance company after water damage. The first crew did approximately 2 hours worth of work but loitered at my home for 5 hours. They sent another gentleman to complete the unfinished work from the first crew that evening. He was in a hurry, wore no mask in the midst of a pandemic, and reconnected my garbage disposal in such a way that it could have caused a fire. When a crew came to remove equipment on the last day they left my dishwasher in the dining room, wood bracing that was no longer needed supporting my countertop and dislodged pavers as they ran over them while leaving my driveway. Complaints fell on completely unsympathetic ears. I, a 56 year old women with disabilities and no experience or training, removed the bracing and reconnected my dishwasher in 30 minutes. The pavers will have to wait for a warmer day. I would NOT recommend this company. They were completely inefficient and disrespectful of people trying to manage during a crisis.
These folks were fantastic to work with! Highly recommend. Restoration team was out soon after I called to get started. Get this - I call 8pm Monday, John shows up Tuesday and the team is working Wed - fantastic the team was courteous, friendly, treat your home like it's their own. Great work cleaning the smoke & soot off walls and ceiling. Then there's Bill -another great job painting everything and Bill does more than just paint - also dry wall repair. And again Bill approaches his job like hi is doing his own - very professional. I highly recommend these guys. You'll be glad you did not settle for anything less
I could relate to almost every single one of these negative reviews right down to the insurance company strongly urging me to using them which looking back that should have been my first red flag. This company is so disorganized and incompetent. The simple job they had to do took months longer than it should and many phone calls with dishonesty and double talk thru out the process. The restoration was a nightmare from beginning to end. I would never recommend this company to anyone. There are many great restoration companies out PLEASE do your homework and save yourself a lot of headaches and problems.
Haphazard and careless work. Well-intentioned, but all of the employees obviously don't have enough time for the work they're given. Had a fire last April that took our porch, but our home was mostly just smoke damaged. All the work on the house was shotty at best; messy paint job, missing hardware, windows look a mess, and the attic ladder they put up only has a 300 pound weight limit even though 3 out of the 4 people living in the house are definitely over 300 pounds. The ladder was also installed crooked, and is very scary to actually use. Will definitely have to be replacing. Our plumbing was supposedly 'fixed' but the drains clog worse than they ever had. Multiple times while work was being done the security to our house was compromised; they would leave doors completely open when no one was at the residence; we had to get our neighbors to keep watch. In terms of my stuff, almost all of my furniture wasn't put together correctly and they didn't seem to have put much care at all into the packing of goods besides my dolls and my clothes; I think it's Amanda and shelly who do those. Most of everything felt rushed. They also put multiple tire tracks in our yard where we had asked them NOT to park their vehicles. They also left a bunch of roofing materials outside our house and had hardly cleaned up by the time we were moving in. They told me all of my stuff would be fine, and not to worry. Well I had a BIG reason to worry because y'all messed up a good chunk of what I had. Don't go to these guys if you have a choice.
