Great game store with diversity for toys and puzzles. I had one really bad experience with the staff, but they've been great and I haven't seen any other problems.

Neighborhood stalwart with an excellent collection of games from mass-market to family-friendly to hobbyist/hardcore. It's lost much of its charm since the new ownership uprooted it from Shattuck (right outside BART) to its current location at Durant though.

Games of Berkeley has a good stock of games and a regular schedule of events. The assisted in tracking a re-releases and kept a copy as their standard customer service. A place that embraces the inclusion of the gaming community at its best -- not to miss.

A dedicated games store just steps away from UC Berkeley campus. Large selection of all kinds of games, friendly and knowledgeable staff, a buyer rewards program, interesting promotions, and a space for gamers to gather and play. Highly recommended.

Really good selection of games across lots of genres (CCG, board, RPG,, etc.) plus a really knowledgeable staff make this a place I keep coming back to. They also have a "game library" so you can try out a game before you buy it to see if it will work for you. This place is definitely worth a visit!

Good selection of games, but rotten attitude from staff. I understand that they have to deal with college kids because of the location, but maybe someone should clue them in that if they are surly with everyone, they won't get return business. If they have a problem with theft, hire a security guard and let the rest of the staff be friendly. But maybe the staff members just prefer to be pissed off at the world. You have options - avoid Games of Berkeley if at all possible.

This place is HUGE! They have so many games your head will spin and they have everything categorized to help navigate. It's full of other novelties as well, perfect spot to find some off the wall item for that weird friend. (Mine was a krampus sticker book). The staff is also friendly, of you're into that sorta thing

Nice selection of games but the staff is completely worthless.

Only been there one time. I just went in to check it out. It's a huge Place full of fun stuff I was glad I went in. People should play these kinds of games like the old days rather than games on your phone. The sales people were very very friendly and helpful. They even have a clearance room to check out. You should go there and check it out!

If you're looking for something other than the (terrible) table top standby Monopoly or any of Milton Bradly's other winners, this is the place to go. The staff know what they're talking about and are eager to suggest new diversions. They have a variety of outdoor / non-table-top items such as Frisbees, darts, and kites. Their selection of dice is second to none. Keep in mind that the store will be moving to 2510 Durant sometime in 2017 so if you fall in love with the place make sure you keep your eye on the address.

Great place, if you are looking for boarding games you will be able to find it all here. I gave 3 stars as people weren't very nice nor patient while I was there. You won't find comic books here.

Second time here, and again 5 starts experience! Folks there are friendly and knowledgeable, and they ve got great selection of board games and goods like miniatures, paints, brushes etc.

I wish this store could be a template for every game shop in the country. They've got everything, from boardgames to kites to wargames to juggling equipment... just sooo much amusement in one convenient place! They also host game nights and demos every day. I really love this place!

Comprehensive selection, almost like a library of gaming really, very kind and helpful staff, a bit of a play space towards the back for hosting events. Honestly I think they noticed I was having some anxiety and we joked around with some of the novelties which was very pleasant. Picked up quite a few items here. Competitive pricing too, especially for the area.

A little bit pricey and heavy on the garbage-y toys, but they have a good selection of gaming stuff to browse, and have a great collection of weird card games. Staff is generally kind and patient. Wish they had a regular Commander Magic: the Gathering night.

Large selection of all kinds of gaming equipment and more. Cards games, board games, tabletop and a good variety of their expansions as well to choose from.

Nice selection of games: role playing, table top, traditional (chess sets), cards, etc.

There's less on the street parking available at the new location but the employees are still very helpful.
Prices seem high compared to big chain store locations or the internet but they have a convenient location (where I'm sure the rent isn't cheap) and most importantly you're going to find items here that you will not see in most other stores.
I'd like to see markers above the Isles stating what's in them, like a supermarket, but then I wouldn't get to experience the knowledgeable sales folks that are always ready to help you.

Games of Berkeley is a local icon. It's one of the only game stores in Berkeley, and it's the only one that I know of that caters to all tabletop gamers, including RPGs, boardgames, CCGs, and everything in between. The staff are very knowledgeable about games and they have a very wide selection.

Biggest game store in the heart of Berkeley's college town. Hundreds of strategic, cooperative, Euro, and role playing games for all ages. They also sell many types of frisbee - from sport to golf, and also have the biggest dice collection I have ever seen in my life. If you love board games, this place will make you feel like a kid in a candy store. Consider taking Bart (Berkeley station) and walking in, as parking can be sparse.

Great selection, but they mark some products up past msrp even if they are relatively new and you have to order singles from their site which is a hastle. They also aren't actively friendly.

The staff is super friendly and made me feel comfortable asking for products they have great selection of different hobby/collectibles I would 100% recommend to anyone who's into tcg or board games

This time I was allowed to keep my back with me while walking through the store. There are a wide selection of games which both gives ideas for new games as well as ideas of games that I should buy or add to my wish list. Definitely worth a visit. There is a parking lot two blocks to the south where you can park for free for an hour.

I went in to buy a expansion pack for the DC building card game for my uncles bday present, it turns out he already had those cards so I went in to tell the lady, (whom btw sold me the expansion pack) what happened I told I do not have a receipt but I would gladly take a store credit, she said it is not in a sale-able condition thus she cannot take it. Really? I had it in my backpack for 2 weeks with nothing in it, it hasn't been open so tell how can it not be saleable?? I was playing to use the store credit to buy the other DC teen titans game but you lost my business.

Awesome huge store, many of the dorky games I love. Seems like they could have a broader selection, but it isn't bad.

They have tons of games. Most of which I would love to play. They have miniatures, large miniatures, books, dice, rings(with d20!!!), a clearance area(always nice to check it out), disc golf gear and a lot more I don't know much about. I enjoy walking the isles and picking out new games for my family. The employees are friendly and helpful...its appreciated
