I recently used Ben Hur Moving and Storage for a long term storage project . I had to remodel and I ended up storing my entire home with Ben Hur for over a year. They just moved me back into my new home. The rate Ben Hur gave me for storage was far more competitive then my other quotes. All of my furniture was delivered to me, no damages.

These guys were great. They were friendly and very careful with our stuff. Nothing got damaged in the move. They were on time and the movers moved fast to get in and get out. I also used their storage facilities for a large piano that i wasn't going to bring with us. Everyone i have chatted with here was very helpful and friendly. I will be using them again in the future and i always recommend them to anyone looking for a great moving company.
I was very happy with the service, quotes, and moving experience from Sherman Oaks, CA, to metro New York City area. However, if you are moving cross country, be aware that they do not handle the move all the way across. In our case, they did use another company in an unmarked 18-wheeler for the actual move. They handled everything professionally but they were much longer in their timeline than originally estimated. I recommend them to be honest, reliable and professional.
I hired BenHur Moving and Storage to move my belongings from California to south Florida.
Prior to booking the move, I gave Nicole S. from BenHur the delivery address, which is in a residential neighborhood in west Boca Raton that my family has owned for 20+ years.
A few days later, I received an email from Nicole S. saying that their dispatcher looked at the delivery address and has determined that the trailer would not be able to make the delivery to my address due to a roundabout on the way to my house and would need to transfer my stuff via shuttle for an additional $450!!
This is ABSURD because I ve used other moving companies at this address in the past, and have seen dozens of neighbors move in & out of this neighborhood for years.
Instead, I decided to change the delivery address to a Public Storage facility about 1 mile from the original delivery location and rented an indoor storage unit to make things easier.
Before renting the storage unit, I spoke with Eden at BenHur to confirm that this would be an acceptable alternative, to which he confirmed. I also confirmed with employees of the Public Storage facility to ensure there would be enough space for a 72 moving truck. (They actually extended their entrance, and parking lot to accommodate large trucks a couple of years ago.) So, I booked the storage unit and expected for a smooth delivery.
The day before the delivery I received a phone call from Meir, the delivery driver to tell me he would be arriving in the morning.
The next day, I met Meir at the storage facility where he refused to enter the parking lot to drive around the building because he said his truck wouldn t fit. ANY LICENSED TRUCK DRIVER COULD HAVE EASILY GOTTEN THIS DONE!
He wouldn t explain his reasoning, and said the best he could do is unload my furniture and boxes in front of the storage facility, and I would need to move everything to my unit on my own. I WAS FURIOUS!
There was simply no reasoning with this man. His attitude and demeanor was cocky, unhelpful, and outright unprofessional!
Luckily, due to some creative thinking by one of the Public Storage employees, we were able to locate an alternative entry point to the building which shortened the walking distance tremendously. However, the distance ended up still being slightly over BurHur s allotted 75 ft. carry limit. The total distance was 105 ft. to be precise.
Unless a paid a long carry fee , Meir was only willing to bring my items as far as he was required and left all of my things in the middle of a hallway for me to move the final 25-30 ft. Unbelievable.
The biggest saving grace in this entire ordeal was the assistant mover Leroy who was a gentleman, and a true professional. Leroy was a voice of reason and willingly helped me bring the rest of my furniture and boxes the rest of the way and made sure everything was secure and stacked properly before we locked it up. I made sure to tip Leroy very well, and I appreciated his customer service skills, and his willingness to go the extra mile to deescalate a tense situation with a paying customer.
Bottom line: I would NEVER use BenHur Moving and Storage EVER AGAIN, and WOULD NOT RECOMMEND their services to anyone.
They price gauge at any opportunity, and they do not hire skillful truck drivers that are confident in their ability to do their jobs.
I recently used Ben-Hur Moving & Storage and I was incredibly impressed with their service and pricing. I had two moves to move from my home to storage and then from my storage to my new home a few months later. Everyone I dealt with whether in person or over the phone where very professional and friendly. I really enjoyed working with them. I was also pleased with their prices versus at least five other moving companies I called before finding Ben-Hur.
Lastly, they wrapped and bundled all of my furniture and valuables extremely well. Nothing was broken or chipped. They treated my furniture as if it was their own. I can't say enough as to the overall service Ben-Hur provides. I highly recommend them for your moving & storage needs.
They managed to misplace an ENTIRE BOX of my belongings. When I called about it David the manager acted as if I was annoying him. For what I paid to have my furniture shipped this shouldn't have happened. They didn't offer any refund back nor did they seem too concerned about replacing my items. I wouldn't recommend this company because their careless & lack concern for other people's property yet they want to charge for this service without fully organizing & checking every item single handedly before, during & after it's delivered at location. I'll never use this company again. If you're still going to chance shipping with them I recommend you personally check & take photos of all of your items because you may end up missing several boxes, pay close attention to what you allow them to take possession of because when things come up missing you will never see them AGAIN. The shipping insurance for damaged or lost items they say is included is bogus because they do not replace nor issue any compensation for the inconvenience & loss of personal items. It's horrible.
Enrique and Hugo were tremendously helpful with our move! I can't thank them enough for making the process run smoothly and efficiently. They took great care of our belongings and moved everything within a couple hours (much quicker and smoother than we thought). They made my move stress free and were such a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. Their administration staff was extremely knowledgable and helped with everything we needed. I would highly recommend using Ben Hur movers, I would recommend them to anyone who needs help with moving.
It was an abrupt, quick shifting where I hired these guys for assistance. Must say, quite a pleasant experience it was. Benhur Moving & Storage packed all my furniture right within the allotted time frame and carried everything like a bunch of pro virtuosos. Nothing really got damaged while we were shifting. One of the biggest fears was finally laid to rest by these guys. Thanks a lot!

Had a last minute move that Ben Hur was able to help me with. I was in a tough situation but the office staff was very accommodating and wanted to help me. The movers showed up on time and did everything they needed to in an efficient manner. Will definitely use them again once the need arises.
Terrible experience. They damaged almost every piece of furniture I had. Furniture chipped, leather chairs over stretched, bike fender smashed in. Boxes arrived smashed in and torn through. They forgot a glass whiteboard of mine, so they mailed it in a box too small for it's size and it arrived shattered. I'm out $1500 in damages after adhering to all the supplemental insurance protocols they advised me to take. They assured me they would make things right and then ultimately hung me out to dry. Very disappointing. Please be warned.
We have used Benhur Moving & Storage on a few occasions. And well, this one is seriously the most trustworthy moving services that we have ever come across. The company keeps a pretty good check on you post you have taken an appointment and makes sure to organize everything for you right from the scratch. It s like you never have to worry once Benhur Moving is there to help you. The company has got great movers that waste absolute no time but mean absolute business. Very professional people yet very warm! Would definitely recommend Benhur, genuinely the best moving service in California. Cheers!

All the people at Ben Hur, from the customer service agents to the guys who packed, moved and transported our stuff (we moved from LA to Denver) were super prompt, friendly and professional. Absolutely a fantastic experience with this exceptional moving company. Moving is never a pleasant experience, but Eden put our minds to rest after speaking to him. His crew did a fantastic job of wrapping and securing alot of antique furniture that we had. We couldn't believe how fast they got everything packed up. And then how fast they unpacked and set up everything the next day since we were moving over 100 miles away. Not one thing was broken. We were also asked if the beds were set up ok and so forth. Attention to detail was great. We highly recommend them.

Morris and his team were amazing! For storage, moving, and some light packing (mostly heavy mirrors) they were quick, safe, and easy to work with. The team was early, courteous, and fast. Great experience all around.
I m very impressed with the services Ben Hur provided for me. I have moved several times before, and I can say without any hesitation that Ben Hur gave me the best moving experience out of any company. The office workers were very kind and accommodating over the phone, and this feeling was also brought on by their movers. The movers worked incredibly hard, handled my stuff with caution, and all while having a smile on their faces. I feel that I got every penny s worth, and I will definitely be calling Ben Hur next time I need movers.
