Belleville Public Library Review

Today was the solar eclipse. I was tild as was everyone who called this public library that there was going to be special glasses to see the eclipse, as well as beverages and snacks. When I arrived there was none. Everyone was furious. We were lied to. I still dont understand why. When I asked the library why we were told one thing and then it was not complied with she answerd with a nasty attitude saying that they ran out. This is a lie because I was there at 11 o clock as were many others. Many people began to come at 1 pm because they were told that at that time snacks beverages and glasses were going to be provided. As a belleville resident I am very diassapointed. Everyone left very upset

Nice library that was very quiet when I went. Seems like they offer laptops if you re a library patron. It has a classy feel to it without feeling musty.

Beautiful, modern library. First time there with my kids and the children's section is awesome! Great place for Belleville families!

The two times that I went to attend their Board of Trustees meetings the front door was locked and no lights on in the foyer. No doorbell. After knocking on the door for five minutes I was let in. They could at least put a sign on the door stating admission for Board attendees only and leave it open.

It's always under construction but they have a decent book library inside.

This library allows mothers with babies in strollers and talkative kids and tutors at the adults reference center on the 2nd floor, despite the fact that there is one large size pc room dedicated to kids and other activities and despite the fact that there is a 2nd large room, after the rest rooms section on 1st flr.for pre-k and/or kinder garden.

There is no respect in keeping these talkative kids population invading the only area available for adults!

Another strong observation is that there aren't private isolated cubicles for adults or students in need of open discussions and/or interviews, either personally, by laptop, and/or Cel. Phone!

After all, Belleville adult population are the taxpayers and commercial patrons of all the expenses invested in its library and most resent library's projects haven't address these situations and or issues.

Please make it open longer. There's no place to study here. Everywhere's too loud. It's the only place where I can study in peace and quiet. Up to five o'clock is not going to cut it. Please.
