Small but nice. Wi-Fi could be better as it is only sporadically connected. Do not trust directly the taxi driver who comes to you and offers you to drive for 20 in the city. The luna bus into the city is great and costs 300 lek per person. Taxi 2000 lek (4persons) if you make a fixed price.
I find Tirana airport small but welcoming. It saves you so much time especially if you have only hand luggage,in a few minutes you are outside. You can relax without worrying that you going to miss your flight (the problem in big airports )as you can see all the gates wherever you sitting.Friendly and efficient staff that once a few years ago did the very best to find my watch that a woman "accidentally" took it from my tray.
Service unacceptable!!! We needed wheelchair but when we arrived nobody was there waiting and the person who had gone a surgery had to walk all the way through. When you think that this is one of the most expensive airports for the taxes and the service is this. Shame on you all!!!
Small but well organized airport. Security and check in work very well at night and early in the morning. In fact no waiting time. Very clean and good taxi connection.
Rip off prices, one small cottage cheese filo pastry (byrek) 3.40. This Albanian fast food is sold throughout Albania for about 25 lek, which is about 20 euro cent. Highest taxes in comparison to other European airports. I would not fly from this airport if I had other choices.
Cute little airport, As usual, Israelis are separated from the rest of the passengers The dough may not have been okay, but the shocking inspection included waking the old babies and forcing them to drink the bottled water we saw to see that they were not poisoned (they didn't let me drink in their place) and felt each child individually. Just horror
I'm not sure how to keep it in work, who does she say she's not educated (Albanian, English or heck) to drop an hour and as soon as this is still the worst of Albania and tourism,
Small airport of modern minimal design. Clean. Normal behavior of the civil staff. Armed military personnel in some places (entrances) seems weird, especially when they intensively stare at you, holding a gun. It could be better, but it is what needed for this city.
To say the staff is arrogant and rude would be little. I toured almost all over the world but it never happened to me that the staff screamed at me because I thanked them in Italian rather than in their own language, repeating albanian aloud if I understood or not. Obviously I didn't argue because he had a passport in hand and I didn't want to make war with a fool like that. There are so many countries to visit in the world, these people deserve unemployment.
Albanian International airport is situated 20 minutes away from Tirane. It is new and modern airport. You can get here correct services. There are duty Free shops with many albanian brands but not only that there are a lot more if you interested to buy. There are also cafes where you can buy food, drinks snacks. It is a correct transportation from aeropot to city and vice versa Tirana Albania international airport is an open door to welcome people who want to visit Albania.
The experience at Rinas Airport was excellent, the credit goes to Business Class worker Kevi Stojko! His service is so cultured to appreciate because I have often received the same service. Keep up the good work! Thank you very much!
Airport itself is OK. When you want to take the bus to the center of Tirana however it s not indicated at all where you should be, or how late, or where to buy tickets. Instead there are intrusive Taxi-drivers who work together to scam tourists by spreading the word that the busses are not driving anymore, so you have no other option to take a taxi.
In my opinion this is something the airport could and definitely should avoid. Be transparent, indicate clear directions/prices and timetables for the tourists.
FYI; busses to Tirana centre leave from Bay 1 and will cost you 250 LEK p.p instead of a taxi that will costs you around 2000 LEK.
I was traveling with a greek agancy and I've met the worst and rudest employee there! She was a woman with curly hair, she was unprofessional and very rude to my sister. Moreover she made a mistake with my suitcase and my suitcase went in Athens but my destination was Crete.
A comfortable airport. Arrivals can have long lines at passport control. Pick your bag and you are on your way to an Albanian adventure. Departure hall is well designed. There is a store where you can get groceries, an other where you can More
May obsessions for luggage for a moment can not be left because everyone is picking up whose luggage is from cleaners to pilots, a plus is a free phone charger, all ATMs do not work, they will not haunt Polish money even in exchange offices do not say disgust disgust !!
Very nice modern airport. Toilets, souvenir shops, possibility to buy a prepaid SIM card easily and several parking including a load shed for taxis. Everything is well thought out
A small airport, not adapted to the growing tourist traffic. Located close to the mountains, it provides beautiful views on landing. During the epidemic, shops closed - only one point for sandwiches and drinks and a small Duty Free shop. The smoking room on the terrace is closed.
No post box in or near the airport Service stuff helped and brought the post cards to town (that's not the job of the stuff, they do it voluntary in theirs leisure)
Tiny tiny airport, with like 2 gates. Not too many things to do there, and you can come relatively close to your take off time, or else you might be bored at the terminal
The terminal is a bit small but excellent for the passenger flow it must support. Excellent security service. The toilets are clean. The remaining services do not know what to say. The bars are nothing short of thieves have hallucinating prices 1 bottle of 0.75 l water costs 3.8 when in any bar in Albania the same bottle costs 0.50 !!!!!!!!! Coffee 1.40 normally at the bar costs 0.70 if not much less. Stay away from the bars just outside the airport, prices are human again.
Beware, THIEVES work in this airport!!! you get an unpleasant surprise when you leave the country, your baggage gets pinpointed somehow and the baggage handlers will take care of the rest. Well organized to steal.
Even your toiletries will disappear let alone if you have anything slightly valuable. Well, we learned that the hard way, and left a bitter taste, of the country and some people... next time will only leave dirty underwear for them to check out.
A very small and fairly modest airport. After arrival, we got our luggage almost immediately, when it comes to arrivals - fast organization. Very few stores, almost none at all.
Quiet fare rates, the poorest European country, compared to other Balkan countries. As a departure, the aircraft was delayed for at least 1 hour! Why do you know why we are the poorest and pay most of all? Shame on "Lufthansa" and our bad politicians ... Two stars are for police service and cleanliness at the airport.
The only airport where they ask for money for a PERSONAL bag that counts as hand luggage !!! You must be ashamed, especially the check-in staff who are grumpy, arrogant, rude and SCAMMERS who find every excuse to create non-existent problems on the baggage just to make money. I am happy that someone has enjoyed it but I assure you that if it were for me this airport would already be closed because it is not possible every time to have problems on problems when I have to return to Italy.
The airport is comparable in size to our awica. The friendly and friendly staff. In the departure hall in the duty-free zone, we do not recommend Skanderberg or Baklav brand cognac, the price differences are really big. You can, however, spend the last medicines - there are several stands with local products and stands with gastronomy quickly. Beware of not very honest sellers in the cafe! They quickly convert to Euro, but when disguising the customer. It is a pity that they give their country such an opinion :-( hence one star dropped.
Is a small airport with some facilities. Staff were usually rude and careless for both 3 times I travelled from here. Prices are as well pretty high. And don't bother asking for a nice place on the plane when the check-in is done at the check-in desk. I got exactly the last seat when the whole plane was empty!! Would not recommend unless necessary. Had the worst experience!!
God forbid you hide any jewelry in your checked in luggage. It will disappear. Good luck asking for the CCTV footage either, they re running a scheme where you re just given a runaround and nothing gets solved and nobody is held accountable. Horrible costumer service. Just be cautious and keep your valuables with you at all times. I know it sounds risky to carry them around, but it s better than a guaranteed loss.
I see a lot of jokers who swear and say again for various reasons that was the third time and I'll never come back, it's laughing. I see people who were born in this country and insult the police for arrogance. The truth is that: the policeman, when he has his passport in hand, sees that his nationality is Albanian and of course needs to be addressed in his mother tongue, as the age he is wearing clearly shows that he knows how to get around Speaks Albanian. These are the ones who curse and that is why they want you to speak not in Mother's language but in Smith's language. A German would laugh at this human model. I'm not an airport attorney, but the truth has to be told. It's clean, it's small but nice, it's modern. There are every servis also market to shop with same price as i city A taxi to Tirana costs 15 . Have someone in which country in Europe say a similar number. A coffee costs 1.30. There is food, if you walk 2 minutes, there are private hotels with restaurants you can eat great. There are cars for rent 20 per day, find me a place in Europe at this price. Every foreigner has the hospitality and generosity of the Albanians, except for our enemies, who also know who they are.
Airport very nice and clean even outside very nice but very close to the sea and when there was a teremoto you could not go back to Italy but still very nice I recommend it!
Small airport, will need upgrade in few areas to deal with the growth of tourism into the region ( security check, check-in notice screen is only a TV !! But fine for now. ) Card payment for luggage is by cash at some airlines . ( Transavia ) !! If your airline app not letting you add luggage when checking in. Like it did with me. 45 euro=20kg. Cafes in the airport only took local currency or euro cash.... No card payments in a airport!! which is mainly the same out in the country.. to take cash out a ATM in town was costing @700 Lec. Taxi to Durres 3000lec or 25euro from airport in daytime. Road surfaces leave a lot to desire Long way to go to come up to some sort of European standard. The funny bit is the add airside for MasterCard, re exchange rates ect. You find it hard to use it!!!!( card) But this country has some real hidden gems...
The worst airport in the world. After passing through the gates, forget about buying water or anything (except alcohol and perfumes for duty free (if you can call it that way :)) paying by card. You can find the ATM only in front of the gates. It is a pity that there is no information about it.
The airport is quite small considering that's the only international airport in the whole Albania. An advantage of this is that access could be very easy on quiet days. However, at times it can get really crowded. The prices are really inflated before and after the security area. Online check in is not yet available.
Airport has free Wi-Fi, which is good. Sometimes, the login process gets stalled, so you have to restart your mobile device. ATM available right after going through immigration where the baggage carousels are. After exiting, there is a More
