A small but modern airport that is learning quickly how to deal with large volumes of people, but not quite quickly enough in arrivals because the queues are so long they blend together beyond the minimal barriers and make it extremely confusing which queue one may actually be in and who might in fact be in front of you. Much of the time the combined queue goes out the exterior door as a single mass and it's impossible for those outside to know what is going on or even if they are in the right place! Fortunately things moved fairly quickly and no one got upset.
It's a cute little airport. I wish there wasn't a Lufthansa monopoly though.
Scandalous experience, as always disappointing us, parking 2, payment is not when you come out but there is a counter that if you have not been hard to find before, the "security" guard instead of taking unaccompanied luggage, it was full 15 mins to ask each person at the airport who they are. Let's not talk about scandalous ticket prices, unprofessional behavior of employees, etc, etc etc!
A star and even too much the waiters in the bar inside the departure hall that they give you in Albanian currency for the healthy you do not need. You do not have to leave it as a tip
I went to a very beautiful country I visited Tirana durres likes help in cheap people I didn't encounter a problem at the entrance to the airport I asked the police in the first clothing gelion I said yes why I said I want to go back here I said I went to the hotel rezaryosiyonum
Poverty with poverty. One tiny bit of duty free. At the ONLY stand with drinks and food, you CANNOT PAY any information with a CARD, there is no ATM, the staff is spreading their hands.
This airport is small but i never had any issues going through. Prices are high like any other airport. The only problem I have is smoking area. Yes it is separate area but when doors open, which open often the smoke comes in no smoke area. Wifi never worked for me.
Small airport, with no frivolities but it does very well what is supposed to do, get you from the parking lot to the gate door very quickly. The wi-fi could be better but the facilities are clean and sober.
+ Important advantages: speed of luggage delivery, proximity to the city Disadvantages: small and poorly equipped with services
Still one of the best airports in region. Great to have such a large airport in one building. Smart structure of the wings with gates. Everything is well taken care of. They improved the queuing for security checks. Good shopping. Lots of restrooms and always clean. Restaurants are pretty good and prices acceptable.
below average services, internet connection very poor (even in the business lounge!), passport checks takes too much time (agents were chatting at their phone instead to be faster), no well-organized... no fingers connected to the airplanes... still a lot to do to become an international airport as Tirana deserves.
Small, clean but should have a clear sign for airport bus stop and also the schedule. My bus departs from the airport at 6.40 p.m. Though the airport website indicates that every hour at 7, 8, 9 and onward. The airport bus stop is orange color. Vodafone 10G for 1,300 lek (14 days)and 1 G for 1, 000 lek.
A very expensive airport. The airport has no bench where you can sit. The airport has no information on the weather when issuing alert notifications. The airport can not be called an airport.
Nice small international airport ... very clean and friendly staff ....
I have been this airport two times.( stanbul-Tirane and Tirane- stanbul) The building and plane area are not big. I liked the airport..
Very small. But I think that it is enough for the small country as Albania is. The prices are very very high compared with the prices inside Tirana. Almost all the staff is good at english.
The Tirana airport is a small but clean building, not a whole lot to mention. There are shuttle buses leaving from Tirana airport to 3 locations. The shuttle stop is about a 250m walk straight from the building once you exit customs (to the left), past the taxi stand. The shuttle comes by once every hour on the hour for Tirana, last one at 19:00 hour if I recall correctly. Other shuttle destination is mid hour. Fare cost is 250Lek or 2.50Euros. Take small bills with you if you're using Euros. Load big luggage at the rear of the bus, and pay the driver once you board (he'll come and collect). There are many stops on route to Tirana but the final stop is at city center near Skanderbeg Square.
Small and very clear. Modern inexpensive gastronomy. Sufficient inexpensive parking spaces. Friendly staff with English no problem. Polite and friendly border police on entry and exit.
Easy to arrive and claim baggage. We will see how check in goes in a few weeks.
Pandemonium on the street at the entrance. They filter people without tickets (accompanying, seeing off). Before entering the interior, disinfection is in the portal, and inside the temperature measurement in another portal. Inside people are average. The racks work the same way. The security check is harsh: they clung to the handle that has been traveling with me since 2006, and no one found fault in any of the 37 countries visited. They wore it for x-ray, they almost broke it, they missed it as a result))) They wanted to take away drinking water from someone, the packaging seemed to be up to 100 ml, they quarreled and beat it off. Passport control didn't even look. Arrival and departure stamps were not put in passports. There is one duty free, a cafe too. In general, fast, but too much with a handle.
Modern and functional airport. The bar prices are not Albanian. The Wi-Fi network goes intermittently.
Nice little airoport I guess is big enough for the number of people that travel in and out.
Tirana airport from the airports to the wasteful runways where the planes land as if they were pine roads all the shame pits for the company that. it has a concession and shame on the Albanian state that does not offer the minimum conditions for passengers. Kosovo is a new state and has the airport you can compare with EU countries. US ... etc. alas if we pay the minimum taxes and services we are not given this is Albania of 2016
A small airport where you should not lose. I also check that you have not come into contact with drugs. Nice view of the mountains while waiting for the plane.
Airport that fulfills its mission perfectly, with some shops to entertain and a somewhat lacking wifi as I remember. The waits are not at all long and all the controls are passed in a very agile way.
The directions to get to the airport that Google Maps is ERRONEAS, sends you to the OPPOSITE place where the terminals are. DO NOT follow the directions of Maps and follow the signs of the road signs (NO SH1 and yes SH2)
BLUE PANORAMA Incompetent manager, liar and cheater! If you can don't fly with them!!!!
considering the number of passengers it s a very small airport , the fact that you need to be 2hrs early to check in as u can t do it online (no idea why and we are about to enter 2020) it s a bit annoying , clean and polite staff , security up to international standards
Airport is very nice, there are long lines, but they go by. There are nice shops to buy souvenirs and a coffee shop as you walk in.
The staff sucks especially a raggaza.Le suitcases were broken, they took away a thing that was not above the 10ml.And more they made me pay 25 euros on a suitcase that in Italy did not even do it.Vergona..Ladri. .
For such a "backward" and rising from the knees, the country-airport is quite good and well-organized. However, the service could be faster and a bit nicer. Overall, it's OK - I was expecting something much worse.
Kleiner, aber kein alter Flughafen. Mobile Bordkarten werden hier trotzdem nicht anerkannt!!! Ansonsten war alles andere in Ordnung.
Seher gut und Seher freundlichen Respekt
There are also buses that connect to the city. The airport is new and clean
After landing, we were admitted from the airport apron into the building in groups of about 20 people. We had to go through a gate which gave us a vinegar haze. At the airport, security personnel check that the masks are on. Wi fi is not working. There is one shop open in the duty free zone, empty. While waiting for the gate to open for 2 hours, I managed to buy only fruit jellies.
340 al lek (2.5 ) for an espresso and no WiFi ,45 for a bottle of Whisky (not even single malt)? Probably worst airport in Europe
MOTHER TERESA airport one of the most beautiful in the Balkans.
Excellent as a structure, only the prices are exaggerated .... a 160 leke coffee when normally in albania it doesn't cost more than 110 leke but in the most luxurious places
Terrible airport, little space, no organization of space, WiFi is probably not there.
small airport with overlapping queues for boarding. some waiting for admission to the hall (temperature measurement - COVID), quick security check, then a cafe with a long queue and a few shops. oh, there is no post office or mailbox at the airport
Small airport. Great employees. I highly recommend going to the airport lounge (it is a Priority Pass accessible lounge).
Tirana Airport is improving year by year. I never had any bad surprises.
Its a shame airport. First they check people like animals. The police doesn't have respect for no one. They talk like we are animals. Also the custom police same. This is my birth place and will be my just visit place. Shame for our culture.
For the people who want to change money here, don't do it. It is best to look for a bank. You don't have to pay extra at the banks.
I didn't know how international it is called. Tiny place. Clean, checkin passport procedures do not take much time. There are cafe staff in the smoking area trying to forcefully sell something.
Cute as an airport, very clean and well organized; pity that a blonde girl from the check-in staff of the Tirana -Ancona flight today wanted me to pay 25 for the suitcase that in Italy did not say anything and then it was not polite at all practically sucked, I wanted to rub the money but fortunately he couldn't do it. Please put a staff as you must, that speak politely healthy .... Otherwise everything was perfettamente..Grz
this airport was way better than I was expecting. it's nice and clean with a few souvenir shops and coffee places. the free wifi worked well before security but wasn't good after customs.
I am very upset with this airport that I know who has the black hand that has stolen things in my cage .. you get caught
No explenation required. It was a good, functional AirPort. Not too busy and easy to navigate trough.
Very slow working ground staff. Also not enough passport control officers that is causing crowd at control point.
Only two places to eat in departure area and both are cash only?! Ef you, airport!
Please, clean near the airport! People use the flower pots like ashtrays and garbage bins (the airport staff too!!!!). You don't have smoking areas! ther people have the right to breathe clean air
Super esht shum ajroport i mir por vetem i mungon nje terminal per te hyr direkt ne avjon
Airport is nice and clean but the immigration officers (police) are just horrific. Am a non-EU national traveling to London with a valid UK residence card . I gave my passport and visa to the border control and the police just take them and dissapear for 20 minutes without any reason and not notifying me of what he is doing letting me waiting there like an idiot... Afterwards he comes without saying any word at all and hands the documents back to me. There is no law going on there. Albania is left in hands of some dumbs who dont even know that they need to explain by immigration act why we have stopped you.... Its just horrific service and racism, not worthy visiting Albania again....
A simple and modern airport, organized and orderly. We had already booked a car that we found in the parking lot. After the customs a commercial area with some shops for the first necessities.
