Beer'd always has outstanding brews on tap. Dog lovers too.....
When you enter under the Beer'd sign walk towards the back right of the large market/craft hall. You will find a small but very friendly and well stocked craft brewery. They had 4 DIPAs and a wit beer on draft for sample, pints or growler fills. Cans of Dogs and Boats and Hobbit Juice were available also. Great beers, a nice small taproom and great staff.
Not only do they make amazing beer, their service is amazing! Precious and Tom were so helpful and so prompt on getting back to me
One of my favorites in ct. Awesome setup inside an old warehouse building with other little artisan shops.
Amazing things being done at this brewery. Owned by a local native, the innovation in the brews is evident by unique flavors and constant strive to impress the palate. Definitely a must visit for locals and visitors alike.
Fun and friendly! Beer'd is a great place to socialize. We had a great time this suday and we will be back!
Fell in love with Dogs and Boats over the late summer, and have to say I've been a fan of Beer'd ever since.
Really sad I missed you guys on Tuesday, as you dropped off some items I ordered, but I was out with my dog on a short hike, which I hope is an acceptable excuse :)
Seriously, though, I figured you'd probably want to see what I did with the sign, which I just hung up this afternoon and before you ask, yes... this place is all about the great outdoors, be it on the water or in the woods, or just kicking back and enjoying a few brews with a small fire going....
You guys are the best !!
Cheers, and Season's Greetings !!!
Big George + Loki the dog
Fun atmosphere in this place. The place was hopping and the staff was friendly. It made a truly enjoyable experience. Loved the pineapple infused beer.
I love beer and beards. Thus beerd only makes sense to be among the things I love most.
Great Beer, it's dog friendly. I love sipping a beer, hanging with my dog and fellow dog lovers.
The beer was fantastic. The people were friendly. Not a whole lot of seating and only jerky and nuts as food selection.
Great little brewery with about 12 beers on tap. Wide selection of IPAs. It's in an old Mill complex with little shops. A good pizza place is onsite called Woodfellas. They will deliver to Beer'd which is really convenient.
Can't speak highly enough about the beers Aaron puts out. Outstanding and worth the trip every time!
Tasty beers, awesome little community in the warehouse. The atmosphere was good.
Great IPAs. Large selection. Beware, service is hit and miss
Wonderful brewery with a diverse list of beers for everyone! Plus the staff loves what they do!!
Amazing brewery in all respects! Fantastic crew and location. They specialize in their IPAs and DIPAs but make some amazing porters and barrel aged beers as well. Don't forget to grab some cans to go.
Setup in the best spot. Great place and great pizza just feet away. Woodfellas Pizza
So many different IPAS to choose from. They run the whole gammit of abv%. Amazing beers and environment.
Awesome fresh beers. They are now canning some of the more popular beers, but are not always available. Small samples are free, large samples(pints) are available for purchase, growlers fills to go.
Very fun vibe - small nook of a restored factory. Pretty tasty beers. Good folk music. Nice staff. Will probably outgrow their space soon!
Beer d is the little brewery you keep secret so you don t have to share. Fairly hidden in back of a warehouse in a tiny space, it s becoming a beer destination. There are only a few tables, and at least when we went, only a few beers not sold out, so it may not be an all day affair. It s nice that they have games to pass the time. The beer was good, but due to the limited selection, there wasn t much to try that suited my taste. Friendly staff, but the clientele is a bit hipstery and off putting sometimes.
Visited last week, enjoyed the rustic atmosphere and the beer. I took home a four of the "Eight days a week" APA.
We will visit again!
Awesome atmosphere, you can try 3 beers before you buy. It's sort of har to find, inside eclectic mill building with lots of interesting vendors.
Classic Connecticut brewery tucked away in an old factory.
This would be 5 stars except their website says no dogs...and they allowed dogs the day we were there (at least 3 of them). Dogs around food and drink is...gross.
Great brewery!! We stumbled upon this place when we found Whitecrest Eatery. We had about 45 minutes to wait for our table and Alex was the BEST server we could've asked for. He picked out the perfect beer for all of us (he read out mind), and he made sure to communicate with Whitecrest for our wait. Alex went above and beyond, what an awesome server. As for the beers, the Dogs&Boats was full-flavored and delicious, and we got some cans of Dogs VS Shinobi to go...the guava really came through and tasted even better than expeccted! We'll be back SOOON. Thanks, Alex, we love you!
Loved this brewery! A little hard to find at first but definitely an interesting set up. Their Frank and Berry beer was AMAZING! Also, their marketing and logo is awesome. Just look at this cool glass below.
Never got to go inside. Went with 10 friends to check out this brewery. We were coming from another brewery and evidently their policy is that if you have had a drink you can't go in for an hour. We are a bunch of 35+ years olds, who were doing a tour of 3 breweries(designated driver and rented van) We are big fans of wineries and breweries, an industry built on doing tours and tastings. We were told because my friend had a can in in his hand when we excited our van he would have to wait an hour before entering. Seems like a silly policy. Totally understand not letting someone in who is intoxicated, safety and liability are important. But we were told because he had a beer he would not be allowed in. All 11 of us left (after a long drive) never to return.
These guys specialize in IPA's and NEIPA's but mix it up with some classic European beer styles like a Berliner Weisse. One of my goto breweries in the area.
Cool vibes in a cute old velvet warehouse! Free samples before you decide.
Great place to hang out! Plenty of beers on tap. Cozy. Friendly. Don't be fooled where location is.
Just cracked open Dogs and Boats DIPA.
Gotta try it! Excellent!
Staff is very attentive and personable. Great place to meet friends and hangout
Cool atmosphere, good music, good beer for a great price.
Outer lights will always be my local brewery but I would cheat on them with this beer anytime.
Tasty beers. Was a bit disappointed in the selection, as all they had to offer were pale ales at that time. The environment didn t feel all that welcoming either. Definitely had a younger hipster vibe to it. After speaking with one of the associates, he informed me that they would soon be opening a new location in my town. Maybe it will be a bit more accessible once their operation is given some much needed breathing room. Looking forward to visiting the new spot, for sure.
Hobbit Juice is the best DIPA. Across the hall is amazing kettlecorn and snacks too for after!
Great local micro brews. Love this place and their beers.
While not tree house or trillium, these guys make some good brews and are super friendly. Keep it up and you ll catch up!
Great place for craft brews. They specialize in IPA's that are top notch. Laid back ambiance and friendly service.
Awesome location, it's located in an old factory. The staff was so helpful and the beer was excellent. I price was very reasonable.
If you like a good hoppy IPA/DIPA you should check this place out.
Some of the best beer in Connecticut. Definitely top 5. Location is pretty cool and I've heard they are building a new facility. Cant wait to check it out. Their IPA's are all great!
I have a 2004 Whirlpool ED2LHA refrigerator and this is the best beer I've found for this model. The various DIPAs keep the shelves balanced and stationary so they don't slip or tilt dumping my condiments and leftover takeout everywhere. Optimal effectiveness ranges from 1 to 3 weeks, so I recommend restocking frequently. Disposal of beer is easy, as it is quite consumable, and after standard processing, is fit for release and city regulated treatment.
Highly recommended.
Some of the best beer available. Definitely worth stopping in for a pint or growler if you are anywhere near the area
Great beer awesome atmosphere can't wait till they relocated to there bigger facility by the end of the year
Worst service I have ever experienced at a brewery. Don't waste your time. Plenty of other places to spend your money to drink good beer.
If you like IPA/DIPA do yourself a favor and visit here.
Great beer and the location / the building has a lot of character.
Little air movement, would make it a little more comfortable to enjoy the great beers.
Simply put, this beer is the best. The staff is always friendly and knowledgable. Hands down my favorite brewery in New England.
some the of the best beer in CT, it was fun checking it out. if you are looking to go to a brewery in CT, check it out
Great local brewery. The beer is excellent and the staff and owners are fantastic. They recently did a virtual tasting through my employer and their passion really shows! If I could offer one suggestion, I would like to see more variety. I know IPA and DIPA are the craze, but the lagers, stouts, etc. that they make are great too. I hope they put a milk stout in the rotation when the cool weather rolls in.
Fun little brewery tucked in quaint Stonington village. Been here a few times and it gets better each time.
Great atmosphere, music with ability to talk over, friendly staff, great food to send out for.
First visit to this location and I am very much enjoyed both the ambience as well as the interesting local that they chose to put this brewery in. If you're looking for snacks they have a deal with the pizza restaurant that is located in the Velvet Mills place your order by phone and you can just go pick it up it's a short walk inside the building to the restaurant and then you can bring it back to your table in the brewery. Look to be a good selection of beers I tried this one that was a little out of my comfort zone and I enjoyed it very much. I would suggest if you're in the area you stop by although their hours of operation make it difficult because currently they are only open Thursday Friday and Saturday and Sunday.
A great attraction in the Velvet Mill. Especially, Saturday during Farmers market. Awesome local brewery, specialize in NE IPA style. Not an IPA fan? Their Whiskered Wit is a classic. If you are in the area and appreciate great beer, then this is a must.
Wanna hear a great scam? Ask your server about the mandatory food non-options! Also, the beer menu has no beer descriptions.
Great local brewery - awesome beers - friendly staff
Good tastings and reasonably priced pints, what else could you ask for. Hope you like hops!
Great IPAs and beer overall. Spot on for the variety and were consistently good. The stout my wife had was good as well.
Great beer if you're an IPA lover and friendly staff.
Great beer and other things to check out in the velvet Mill it's has the ABC's art, beer, and cheese!!
Visited this brewery a while ago as part of a CT Beer Tour and it was my favorite stop. Excellent beer and excellent staff!
This brewery is awesome! Great beer and the nicest people!
Chill brewery in a random indoor flea market-eske spot.
Love the logo and the beer titles and absolutely love the vibes. It gets massively hot in the summer so prepare to roast and drink a chilled one.
Beer was ok, nothing that really stood out to me. We were in the area and came by this place with some of our friends. Would I go back and go out of my way to it? Probably not. Only because nothing really stood out with the beers.
Food wise, you can order in any of the little restaurants around and they will come bring it in free of charge. That's definitely a plus!
Drafts to go available for purchase. Wish the menu had the beer description on it so it could make ordering a little easier. Other than that, cool chill brewery. Prices are great too!
